If anyone can answer the following questions, I would greatly appreciate it.

1. Do they rent bikes at VB?

2. How much? Any DVC discount?

3. Do they rent the tag alongs (the child has their own pedels, and handlebars but it is attached to the adults bike)?

4. Do they have small bikes (14") for children?

5. Are there good, safe places (no traffic) to ride with kids?

Thanks so much for any info!

yes they rent bikes at VB, and yes they have safe places to use them - but I can't answer your other questions - good luck

My wife and rented bikes. I can't remember the cost but I believe it was under $10. There are sidewalks that can be ridden on in the area of the resort and there is a bicycle route that DVC advertises but one short part of it is on a busy road that you would't want to take little ones on.
The rest of the bike route is on a clay type side street along a canal. I'd recommend getting the map from the bike shop and then driving around the area to get a feel for it before venturing out with little kids. As I said there are sidewalks but I can't remember if they go far enough for a good long ride. The bike rides you can take will follow route A1A which isn't real busy but it is a road you'll need to cross quickly and carefully shoud you decide to do so.

Plus don't forget some Deep Woods Off or other good repellant that works on noseeums(aka sand flies) if you decide to ride on some of the trails. You can get eaten alive if the wind is calm and warm outside.Don't want to scare you off but they are a fact of life in some "natural" coastal areas. :(
It can ruin an otherwise lovely day. Hint: (experienced skin donor.LOL Last trip Wasn't on their menu.:)
