Hi,We are going to the Fort for our first time in September and we will be taking our bikes along and we are wondering if they have bike racks around the campground that you can lock your bikes up till you return from the differnet places, like the bus stop area etc? We are not sure which loop to request so if someone could help us out with that I would be grateful. We have a 31 foot Minnie Winnie with a slide out. We will be just 2 adults and no dogs. We are also staying there for Thanksgiving, we are looking forward to these trips. Thanks for your help.

Yes, there are bike racks in the golf cart parking areas at the Outpost, Marina, Meadows area, and Pioneer Hall. There are also lots of trees, and fence posts near all of those areas.

any loop is great except 1900, a little too swampy.

One trick we learned when leaving our bikes for the day is to secure a plastic bag over your bike seat if there is any chance of rain while you are gone. We learned from experience how uncomfortable it is to ride back to your campsite with a wet seat. ::yes::

That's a great idea! I never would have thought of that and suffered wet butt syndrome all week. :rotfl:

Why isn't there any ice bags, because they are all out riding bikes.

I have to find the picture of the bike rack at the settlement bus stop- every bike has an ICE bag for a rain coat (25 or more bikes)

WARNING: when the ice bags get wet the blue washes off. You could tell who rode a bike by their BLUE LEGS and BLUE REAR END

So far no one uses the Doggy waste bags.

LOL! We use plastic grocery bags. We have plenty of them at the camper and they are right there and handy. I can't imagine going all the way to an ice machine just to get a bag. :confused3

The comfort station in the 100 loop very close to the settlement bus depot

We use 1 gallon Zip lock bags.

I guess, but I would think a quick wipe with your hand would remove 95% of any water on the little seat :confused3 Also, what do you do with the wet plastic bag that probably has twice the amount of water on it than the seat uncovered:rotfl:

Not if you have one of those comfy, spongy seats. My husband could wipe the water off his seat but mine was completely soaked through. That's what I meant by learning from experience. And after we remove the bag, we throw it away. Seems a simple solution to me.

The gel-foam seat are like a sponge. Very comfy but holds water. I put the bag in the water bottle holder for reuse later.
