I am currently in the process of finishing up my October 2011 Disney trip scrapbook. I have been working on it on and off for the last year and a half, and I am finally down to my last few layouts that need to be done. I've made several scrapbooks before, but I've never had this particular problem. I bought one of the cheaper scrapbooks at Michaels that has the three posts and comes with 10 page protectors. Bought the 20 page insert so I now have 30 pages in the scrapbook. As of a few days ago, I have completely filled up THOSE pages. I have 65 12x12 layouts so far, will probably end up with about 70, and I would love to fit them all in one book. Does anyone have experience with this? I was thinking of getting one of the D-ring scrapbooks, but I don't know if even that will fit all my pages. Thanks for any suggestions! It's been a long road, but I really love how most of my pages have turned out.

I have fit 40 pages in a Creative Memories scrapbook before, but I don't have any experience with the Michaels books.

I suggest the we r memory keepers albums. I'm getting ready to switch to them. I used cm but they aren't holding up. And then the cheap ones from m's and j's but they don't hold as many.

I was turned on to the wrmk ones from Nancy here. Can't wait to get started using them. They are pricey but I know a good place to get them. :)

I use the D-ring - My MK album has 58 page protecters in it
I think 50 would be better
I don't do really think things (no pop dots)

I will count how many pages are in my largest WRMK album... I love the 3 ring binders.. I switched my DD's albums from the 3 ring by the Paper Studio to the WRMK and I love the WRMK!!! They are awesome!!! My albums are always stuffed to the brim or have to be split into 2 or 3 or 4 or 5!

I always use 3 ring binders for my larger albums...anymore than 20 pages in a post bound just make them wonky!

I just counted my 3-ring WRMK albums and one of DD's books have 50 page protectors in it... and it looks great.. not bulging like a post bound is...

I had to switch my 8x8 post-bound Disney ABC books to 2 ring- doodlebug binders because the kids were looking throught them and DS12 looked at me and said "Mom it looks like it's going to blow!"..

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I am looking into the We R Memory Keepers ones.

Thanks! Where do you get them?

I definitely use some thicker embellishments, so that is definitely making my book thicker.

Yep, mine is definitely looking wonky. Do you use the WRMK ones too?

Thank you! Do you know if it is the classic leather ring style on the WRMK website? The picture makes it look pretty thin.

This is how my album looks now:

You can see how thick the album is compared to how thin the spine is. Ha.

The classic leather WRMK's 3 ring binder will work perfectly for your albums! That is what I have...

I purchased mine from ScrapSome.com. Very competitive prices and fast shipping.
JoAnn's and Michael's also sale them if you want to buy one with a coupon first to try them out!

ETA: the photo of the spine is very deceiving!! It's actually a very good size but not huge!!!

I also just ordered my WRMK's from ScrapSome.com ...haven't used them as of yet, still working on the album they will go into...second the great customer service from her!!!

I had used Creative Memories albums for over 10 years. I recently switched to We R Memory Keepers 3 Ring Albums--love them!!

I used to over-fill my albums and went back through them all and split them up into more albums of 30-35 pages each. My concern was the weight of the albums. Creative Memories albums are heavy due to the pages....I knew that when I get to be an old lady, I won't be able to lift some of those over stuffed albums! Over stuffed albums tend to get damaged page protectors and if they are looked at often--spines get wonky. I personally would rather have several albums than try to stuff 70 pages into one album--I don't think they will fit and no album will hold up over time.

Mine are mostly from Michaels or Archivers They are not the real expensive ones. I add extra posts to make the spines bigger and that has helped me. But ours dont get looked at real often either.

I'm just another we r memory keepers fan! Actually I love all their products but their 3 ring albums are just so much easier to use. Love them! I know my Michaels is starting to carry them.

Target is also selling the WRMK 3 ring's in select colors.

I think the price is about $20 for the 12", and $15 for the 8"

I love the idea of WRMK albums but they look huge! Do they fit in the same place that the other post bound albums were at?

I can check for you. :) I did a comparison of the post bound, cm, and wrmk as far as spines, and insides, but didn't check out space.

Here are some pics that I took. My shelf is small. barely holds a CM book or a colorblok book as you can see. The WRMK is about an inch bigger than those. I am in the market for new storage :)

Thanks Rachal. It's nice to see them side by side.
I think I would have room on my shelf height wise, not so sure about depth though. I might just have to buy one and see.

Welcome. Mine stuck out a bit. But like i said my shelf fits an old style CM album almost perfectly.

The cubbies in my office fit it way better. So I may just store them in here. I keep the empties on a shelf.
