SCREAMING, crying, gurgling, EXHAUSTED, whining children--more specifically The Parents who will not take them back to the hotel and put them down for a nap/to bed early.

Am I allowed one more??? Please???
Children in restaurants that are everywhere except seated at the table with their families. I don't want your kid jumping up and down on my seat, I don't want them under my table, it is UNSAFE for kids in the walkways (not to mention unsafe for the servers)--I've had to get kids out of my purse (stored under the table) more than once!

I understand your frustration. About the kids being exhausted part. I could see where parents don't wanna go back. They pay all this money at WDW and wanna get the most of it. But from a parents stand point. Kids are kids, they are super excited to be in Disney. And a lot of they time kids are hopped up on sugar. Or arent used to so much going on. some things you mention is crossing the line but I have seen plenty indisciplined kids and I don't let it ruin my vacation. I tend to focus on mine instead of others because I spend all this money and its worth it to me to see them light up with joy.

My pet peeve is the bus etiquette. Seats should be given up to people in this order
Elderly
Mothers carrying infants
parents carrying sleeping children
kids
women

We don't fight or wait for front line parade spots anymore because it's too much of a pain in the butt to hold them. We've seen them all enough times anyway. Number 1 pet peeve is still line jumpers (actual never been in line in the first place line jumpers) and people that don't even try to stay to the right when possible. When is the USA, steer right!

Just wondering what yours are? I have several but will stick with one. This seriously happens to me every trip! Finding the perfect parade spot that I got 2 hours before the parade start time and then having a rude family that arrives 5 minutes before the parade starts and squeezing in front of us!

So, what are yours? I need a good laugh! Thanks Disney fans!

We're from Mardi Gras areas. We're pros at parade space control. I'm VERY aggressive about protecting my space & the space my kids are in. And my dh backs me up.

-Pople who cut in at the bus stop
-People who push on the way out of the park at close: last year while 6 months pregnant I was pushed by a man old enough to have grey hair hard enough while he was trying to muscle past I fell on top of the stroller my husband was pushing with our 19 month old in it!
-People that use their strollers as rams and people that push in front of strollers than a) cause them to get hit then look at the people as if it was their fault or b)make others use their strollers as rams to stop people cutting them off

Mine would be people who get on a bus, expecting others to get up and give them a seat. Expecting being the key word. If someone wants to offer up their seat, fine. But there should be no glares or demands.

I have a mom who could in no way stand on a bus safely, and there is no way I would put her on a standing room only bus and depend on some stranger to get up so that she can sit and be safe. No way! If I couldn't be responsible enough to see to it that my mom was comfortable and safe, why should I expect total strangers to care?

If you or a family member can't stand on a bus, then see to it you don't. Step aside and wait for a bus with open seating. Take taxis when the buses are busy. Get a rental car. But don't demand others take care of you and yours when you can't be bothered to do so yourself.

If someone offers another person their seat then that person should be thankful. But to demand a seat of a total stranger is rude too.

I have a few...

-People who stop in the middle of the walkway to look at a map/text/whatever...especially when I'm with my friends who have little ones and have to navigate around them while pushing the stroller!
-People who don't pay attention while standing in line and let these huge gaps of space form in front of them...it drives me nuts to be right behind those people!
-Seeing people leave their trash anywhere they like. This seems to always be a problem in the Small World queue...not sure why. But seriously? You can't be bothered to find a trash can? Who taught you that was OK?
-Flash photography anyplace it's dark - especially HM and the final scene of SSE :headache:

The above is a mirror of mine

I am going to add one though:

Standing in a substantial line at a CS restaurant and the party in front gets to the register and THEN decides to START looking at the menu and asking what everyone wants, while the rest of us in close proximity have to listen to a family discussion about who likes what and how their lunch choices might affect their appetite for tonight's ADR ..... :rolleyes1

Oh, and my pet peeve - people who worry about how others should act without knowing the situation of others. Please don't assume that when you look at my family you see the entire picture. You probably can't immediately tell just by looking that one of us is handicap. You probably can't imagine the level of pain that person is experiencing and that the difference between a few hours sleep and no sleep that night can be changed by a few moments sitting down. You don't realize that this simple vacation will mean multiple trips to the hospital both before and after the trip. Please don't be that person, like so many already have, that gives us a dirty look or even a nasty comment when one member of my family doesn't give up their seat, even though the rest of us have. Please don't enter the bus, plane, ship, or park with a preconceived notion of who is most deserving of a seat. You might not know the whole story.

So basically my pet peeves are with rude/inconsiderate people. Ha.

I work in a themepark myself, and after park close, we (the ride staff) has to clean the ride and queue line. And I can't say how embarrassed I am on the guests behalf when I see how much garbage is spread around, despite there being tons of bins to expose of your rubbish.

And about queue jumping, the park I work in have signs like these in the queues :thumbsup2

Edit: picture doesn't work, the adress isn't allowed here or something. But basically what the sign says is:

Definition of queuejumping
Cutting in front of people already in the queue
Leaving the queue then attempting to re-enter at the same point
Saving a place for someone not in the queue

Queuejumping, whatever the reason, may lead to dismissal from the park. No refund will be given.

I think I've been lucky in Disney myself, I've never had anyone trying to take my front row spot to the parades or anything. But I did once have a lady with a stroller behind me keep ramming her stroller into my legs throughout the entire parade once :sad2: So I guess that's my pet peeve. Oh, and once me and my friends were trying to find a parade spot, and there was this big group of young people/teens, that sat spread with really big gaps between them. We asked politely if they could gather up a little bit so we could stand behind them. There was no way they were going to move, because they wanted some space around them

I Have a few....

probably will get flames but what the hell...

in the disabled viewing area!, i agree that you and a few close family members should be together but when its like a party of 10-15 people
i dont think they should all be allowed in the area stopping other people in wheel chairs from coming in,

luckily this last trip we already had a place nice and early in the disabled area just me and my wife the rest of the family were accross the street, then i noticed more people coming in but bringing all the party with them, i just dont think it should be allowed, on the GAC it states that i think its 4-5 members with your party i think this should be applicable for parades and such.

anyways just my opinion, :confused3

You don't need a good laugh. You need to travel with a group so you can reget in front of those louts. It's not worth staking out a spot for the parade long in advance unless you have the means to keep it.

What is probably needed is a bigger "handicapped area" for shows and auditoriums. Imagine if at the time a wheelchair guest had to be turned away, then the entire show is declared full and no one else is admitted. With a larger wheelchair area and not too many wheelchairs are there then more last minute guests who can stand can use that area. Problems of this kind can often be solved with the choice of using more capital or by using more labor (incl. security). Disney needs to choose one of those instead of "do nothing".

(I would like to see more cities and states do something other than "do nothing" when it comes to transportation infrastructure but that's a whole different program not relevant here.)

I have 3 pet peeves...

IPADs used as cameras... yes please hold your giant electronic screen in front of my face! The parade is much easier to see that way!! :lmao:

People taking pictures on dark rides! Nothing better than getting blinded by a flash while trying to enjoy POTC!

People who stop in the middle of the row and EXPECT you to climb over them... no I don't think so Bud!

My biggest is with Captain EO still being shown at EPCOT. "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" had a 16 year run so you would think the Disney Imagineers would have come up with something better than bring back the 1986 show that it had replaced in 1994.

Even if you love Michael Jackson and think they idea of a tribute was great, the show is horribly dated and the man died in 2010 -- it is time to move on.

The lack of imagination for the Imagination Pavilion should be an embarrassment to Disney.

My pet peeve is that the parks aren't closer to my home, and cheaper to get into...

The way to handle these people is to get your spot and don't move. What I mean by that is Disney doesn't allow people to stand in the street during the parade. Get your spot and stand on the curb. People will come stand in front of you on the street before the parade, which is no big deal. When the CM's come and tell people to move back off of the street. Don’t move back and don't allow them to step up on the curb in front of you. Stand your ground and say this is our spot, you'll have to move.
