Biggest Loser Show Chit Chat Thread

I'm guessing by the lack of chatter about last night's show that everyone found it as boring as I did. So far I don't really "care" about any of these people, so I'm not emotionally invested in the show. I felt badly that Rick went home, but I'm so pleased that he seems to be having great success....he looked terrific!

I tired of talk about "game play" already.... and DID Brendan throw the weigh in?? Hard to tell... I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt and say no. Maybe it was just an off week for him... we certainly all know what that feels like. The girls numbers are pretty pathetic though (for BL standards.... but for the real world, 5 lb per week is GREAT!).

And really.... STILL NO MARINES??!! WHat is up with that??? .............P

I thought last night's episode was pretty dramatic - I like all the twists they're putting in this time around and I think maybe the stress of that is affecting everyone's weight loss? Jesse looked as if he was going to chew his fingers right off during the weigh in last night and the preview for next week showed a pretty anxious looking Frado - but I agree Pamela, the girl's numbers are pretty pathetic for BL standards. I also don't feel any connection to these people, which is weird because I liked almost everyone in the past few seasons. I like Brenden less and less each week, I may end up disliking him even more than I did the red team's Melissa last season. There's enough drama and curiosity to keep me until next week at least, but if those Marines don't show up soon I just might have to find something else to do with Tuesday evenings ;) !

Have a great evening everyone,

Bree

I am SO glad the black team didn't eliminate Anna! I DON'T like the "boys' club" at all, and I hope one of them (Frado, Patrick, or Brendan) gets sent home soon.

Just found this thread and glad I did!

I was thinking after last weeks vote...if all three girls would've voted for Brenden (without discussing it with the boy alliance) it would've gotten rid of him, right? The men wouldn't have known what hit them.

If I'm wrong, sorry, it's been a whole week since the show and I'm old. :rotfl2:

You're right the girls could have done that but Ada is part of the alliance with Patrick, Brendan, and Frado so that would not happen.

It will be interesting to see what happens tonight because if enough people get tired of the game playing one of the game players may be going home.

At least they aren't teasing us with Marines now. :rolleyes1

Ok, thanks. I guess I forgot about that. :flower3: But I'd be willing to bet if push came to shove, Aida would be out on her bumm first before the boys. :upsidedow

DD (who is almost 11) keeps asking about the Marines. I have trained her well.;)

Brendan and Frado, well I really hope someone (read: Jillian) gives them a smack upside the head. At least they kept their word and didn't send Anna home. But I have no doubt that Brendan threw the weigh in. I think that Jillian was worried Frado would do it, but Brendan never promised her anything. (sin of omission??:confused3)

It was nice that black team members gave their letters from home to some of the blue team. I think that many of the players are friends, regardless of the teams and game, but yeah get rid of the "players" and

GIVE US THOSE MARINES

No promises -- but I just got my tvguide for next week and it says, "The Biggest Loser -- If cardio doesn't take off the pounds, maybe being yelled at will. The teams head to Camp Pendleton for a week of training with the Marines."

About time!

Maria :upsidedow

Finally got to watch yesterday. I found the bickering between the black team at the pop challenge interesting. The team challenge was okay, I thought that Brendan and Frado were crying sour grapes because they lost and the blue team celebrated. Like they wouldn't have done the same.

The person who got eliminated looked great(don't want to spoil it if people haven't watched yet) and would definately have been a big threat to others.

Next week, Marines, YEAH!!!

Finally the Marines! :goodvibes

I haven't seen the whole thing but I did look at the highlights on the website and know who went home.

Still not really feeling that into this group or season. :confused3

I am having the same issue this year- this group does nothing for me.No one I am especially rooting for.It seems to be a snooze, it has lost something but I don't know what.

Well I hope they all do well, it is an opportunity of a lifetime.

Linda

I have been more attached to the contestants when they were "couples" - either family members or friends.

I agree. This year I really don't have a favorite or feel anything for any of the contestants. Too much gameplay already.

Ah, the Marines. DD says they weren't all that cute, but I thought they were.

Oh the drama with Elizabeth. I understand that she has asthma, but sometimes I wonder if she doesn't bring it upon herself to get out of doing stuff.

Don't like Brendan's new look.

Looked like from the preview that they are back to individuals next week:confused3

I think the Marines were great - I loved how they really had the teams acting like teams, staying together, etc.

I could not believe that Frado gained so much and then someone else paid the price. That's the crummy part of teams, apparently.

My thoughts on Brandon's new look: Yes, he now resembles Humpty Dumpty, a bit, but anything is an improvement over that bad, bad beard and sticky-uppy hair, at least in my opinion!

There has been a lot less humanizing footage so far this season, I think. It's hard to get to like this group based on what we've seen, for sure.

Watched this weeks episode yesterday. I think perhaps BL has jumped the shark. This season just isn't right, there is just WAY to much gameplay. Brendan, Frado and Patrick really, really need a reality check.

I felt bad that Aaron and Jesse went home, but WOW did they look great. I really wish they could have stayed, I think they may have been two of the people who really were there for the right reasons.

In the preview for next week, I feel really bad for Ada, not getting a video from home. Her story has been one of the most heartbreaking I have heard, and how sad that her family does not support her in any way it seems.

Here's hoping things get better, though I doubt it.

I was home last Tuesday night, but I just didn't care enough to turn on the TV. I read Jillian's re-cap of the show the next day. I'm definitely losing interest in the show this season, and it's the only show I watch on TV!

I think perhaps you are right, Veronica! :lmao:

I'm guessing Brendan and Patrick will turn on Frado eventually.

I just watch it online now -- the commercials are shorter! ;)

And for anyone who is interested they have a bunch of photos of past contestants at the San Francisco triathalon on the Biggest Loser site. http://www.nbc.com/the-biggest-loser/photos/sneak-peek-where-are-they-now/6469

Wouldn't it be nice if Ada went on to be the BL?

Some of the former contestants still look great. Others...not so much. It's hard to keep the weight from returning!

Yes, it is hard to keep the weight from returning. I like to think I wouldn't ever gain it all back but I guess I'll lose it first before worrying about that! ;)

Makeover week finally! And a "Where are They Now?" special so finally something to look forward to this season.

I had no idea that Jessica like Jesse so much -- did I just not notice? :confused3

So, is anyone else still watching this. I watched the Marathon episode and they all did very well. As a group, the last couple of seasons marathon have been good. I wonder if Bob and Jillian have changed up their training to incorporate the now traditional Marathon.

Who does everyone want to see win? Right now, I don't have a clear cut favorite. If I had to pick, I'd say Patrick.
