Is there a thread for this yet? Did anyone watch last night? What did you think of the new trainers?

I think I'm gonna like Dolvett (sp?). Anna seems kinda soft so far, she needs to let loose and get tough.

I think it is going to be a great season. I love the new trainers, but what happened to Jillian? I kind of miss her, and yes I think Anna was a little soft but in a good way also.

But is it me or were they all a bunch of cry babies? Good grief!! I just couldn't get over all the crying. BUCK IT UP people.

I am excited to watch next week.

I like the new trainers. Dolvett seems like a good trainer and how could you not love Anna? She still looks as good as she did when she was playing tennis and posing in Maxim. I would watch a show called Anna Kournikova punches infants staring the children in my immediate family.

She doesn't yell but she also has the older group and I think you train older people differently. I hope she succeeds because I already like her better than Jillian. It usually takes me a couple of weeks to get into the show and the current crop of contestants. I have to see which ones are taking it seriously and which whine and complain or are just in it for the money.

I'm very glad Debbie is gone. I realize it could have been editing but she just wanted to quit or go slow the whole time. The stuff she said just before the vote to Bonnie was odd and it seemed like she did it just to make sure she was the one that left.

My favorite show! I'm not wild about the new format yet, hopefully it just needs some getting used to. I also watch Biggest Loser Australia online and it's fantastic....just finished a season so maybe that makes the new U.S. format even more jarring for me. Especially weird: not starting off with a weigh-in.

That said, I do think I'm going to like the new trainers. Figured I'd like Dolvett, you could tell he wasn't going to take excuses. And Anna....I'm sure she's wonderful but in show one at least it was hard to tell, when she was onscreen I couldn't think about anything but how pretty she is. No wonder she was the last trainer picked. They were afraid they'd sit around staring at her and not get any work done. LOL

I have never watched it but want to because of Dolvett. I'll check it out on On Demand. He is amazing.

I love the new twist where everyone comes back at the end for the marathon and whoever wins is an automatic finalist.

Why didn't they bring back Kara and Brett? I really liked them. I'm not a fan of two seasons in a row of new trainers.

Its obvious Bob knows how to push his team hence their huge weight losses.

Not sure how I like the 3 team format they got going on but I do LOVE Dolvett, he is hot!! No fave contestants so far though.

I do prefer when they use couples, people who already know each other. You seem to get to know the contestants faster through that interaction.

I don't know why Kara and Brett didn't come back. I'm guessing Anna was available and they wanted that big name since Jillian was leaving. Jillian is on The Doctors now, she said she wanted to cut back and start a family. I also heard that she was hoping for a talk show of her own once Oprah left the air. Don't know which story is true.

::yes:: Totally felt the same way. Lotta whiner's,really miss Jill though.

You can watch full episodes on hulu dot com. You just have to put up with commercial breaks but believe it, they're NOTHING like regular tv commerical breaks when the show is actually airing.

I like the new trainers but wonder what happened with the two that were on last season. I guess the season didn't do as well in the rating so they're blaming the trainers?!? We'll probably never know.

And I think the problem with Bobbie (the lady who got voted off. Maybe I have her name wrong?) was in the editing. Those comments didn't come from nowhere so maybe the "complainer" really was whining throughout the week and Bobbie just called her on it. Again, we'll never know unless we were there.

I do feel the show inspires a lot of people out there. Just wish they'd tell you how long the "week" really is so at home weight loss becomes more realistic. I dont' know anyone capable of losing 30+ pounds in one week. It had to have been more time than that.

Until next week and hulu!

But she just happened to call her on it when they were both up to be voted off. Made her look petty and desperate. Also, if you are a widow, lost your home to Katrina and had other tragedies, is it necessarily whining to talk about it? Isn't that pretty much what the show wants to get out of people, the things in their lives that led to them becoming overweight?

Is this man a God or what?

I really like the new format, and like the two new trainers a hundred times more than Jillian. I think Anna is really sincere, a good hearted person. And Dolvett, well, see comments above....

I agree that Debbie should have been the one to go home if what we saw from edits is the way it really played out. She also tried to throw the other older lady under the bus. Not nice.

Both are true. Basically Jillian's passion is to teach and educate her audience, whereas Biggest Loser was more for entertainment; hence when she was given the opportunity to appear on the Doctors she jumped on it as she feels daytime gives her more opportunity to do that. She was considering her own talk show, but Suze Orman told her she's not ready for that. Also, there was a lot of bad blood between her and NBC related to "Losing It With Jillian." I get the sense that the show was supposed to be 2 hours but they cut it to an hour long show. She is in the process of adopting a child.

She does a free weekly podcast that I generally enjoy:

I love the new format. It changes things up a bit but I wonder if the older group is going to be at a disadvantage. I am from the south and the lady from Picayune, MS (older lady that was about to be sent home with the bad knee) is not far from where I live. Also have a connection with one other contestant in that we work for the same company just different locations. My husband and son will be watching this year just to see Anna Cornicova.

Of course there's no way to know what is and isn't true in the entertainment world. It might be that Jillian decided she wasn't ready for a talk show. It might be that no one was interested in her. And I say that as a huge fan of Jillian's abs - er, Jillian. ;)

"Losing It" would definitely have benefited from another hour, it felt really rushed. An entire family's lifestyle is completely changed and we only see an hour of it?

Thank you both for letting me know. I guess I wasn't in the loop. I had no idea what happen to her.

Some people don't like her but I do. I've particularly noticed that fans in other countries aren't wild about her style. But her record stands for itself. Her contestants win.

Dolvett needs to take his shirt off. I liked Anna. I thought she pushed her "old people" enough. I only miss Jillian for her yelling. But there was way too much crying in this episode and it kind of felt disjointed...
