I had a good morning!!
Finally got around to pulling down the shorts bin from the loft. Out of 12 pairs, 2 were too small (the ones I didn't really like, so to Goodwill they go), 2 were a little snug (but with some hard work and dedication I can maybe wear them by the end of summer), and 8 fit nicely!!! And they ranged from 14-18. I don't have to buy shorts!!

and all of my sleeveless shirts look good too. I've just thrown in the towel about not showing my flabby arms, If you don't like it, don't look!! LOL
The kicker is 2 of the pairs, that are keepers, I haven't been able to wear since our first WDW trip in 2004. YEE HAW!!!!
WOOOHOO! THat is terrific! I've given up on not showing the arms too... oh well.
Today didn't go well and I'm in a really bad emotional funk right now. My new doctor looked over test results that my old gyno did in 2010. Turns out that just by looking at the tests results she strongly believes I have PCOS. I'm LIVID! The dr in TX that originally ran those tests basically told me, "Oh well the only thing I see that causes me concern is your high cholesterol. Everything else looks fine."
My dr's office is suppose to call me next week and give me the name of a fertility specalist. Then I talk to my mom about it and she tells me due to my history of blood clots that I won't be able to take hormone replacement therapy, it could kill me (much like birth control could kill me). I'm trying to stay positive and wait and see what the specialist tells me. However, as much as I want another child, its not worth dying over.
I'll keep everyone posted. I need to go for a walk or something. I have to get this off of my mind. My emotions are up and down. I've gone from being fuming pissed to crying my eyes out.
Prayers and hugs going out to you today and as you deal with this problem going forward.
4 out of my 5 classes are just waiting until the end of the year. Many of the trips have been postponed until last week and this week to avoid AP exams so I have not had a full class for the last week and I expect the same thing this week. Then throw in a full day junior event and senior cut day on Friday my classes were pretty empty.
My second year calc class are working on a mural on the wall outside my classroom. There is a classic calc problem involving a coffee pot (For those of you who don't know my last name is Coffey) that I teach my kids each year. THey want to do the coffee pot problem on the wall. So there is a table with a coffee pot on it with 21 mugs (one for each student they will be decorating) and then the problem on the wall. They should finish it next week and if I get a chance I will post a picture.
Off to get some people up so we can go mow some lawns.
Have a happy and healthy day.
Sounds like a fun mural! I love the idea of having a painted mural that involves a calculus problem. Can't wait to see pictures!
Pamela, forgot to say yesterday that your DD looked absolutely lovely!

I loved the dress and the beautiful colors.
Thank you.
Does anyone have any exciting plans for the week-end? Yummy healthy recipes for the grill?
Nothing particularly special, other than the good-bye party for DD's swim coach on Saturday.... which, btw, went just fine. Food was plentiful, decor looked fun and special, weather was perfect. Just wish that more people could have attended. Day started at 5am with DD's morning swim. From there DD and I went straight to the party location to start setting up. Then a dash home for a shower and quick change up, back into town to pick up the cake, and then back to party locale. All of this before noon. Party started at 1pm and it was done and cleaned up and I was home about 6pm. After unloading the car and all I just crashed!
Yesterday was just cleaning and such. I had to use my scrapping tables for the party, so I did a good cleaning before I put them back.
Nothing on the schedule for today.... probably more cleaning, maybe some yard work, and I know homework for the kids.

June 1st
Evening everyone..
Sorry, I've not been around much. I've been a pretty bad funk the last few days. After breaking the news to my mom about possibly having PCOS she drops a bombshell on me, "Oh yeah I had that also" GEE THANKS MOM!! If I would of known that 2 years ago maybe the quack gyno would of actually listened to me more and taken my worries seriously instead of blowing me off.
I spent most of Friday talking with friends (a few have PCOS). They told me that Metformin helps in the whole process and that although it has some side affects with time your body adjusts and the side effects go away. That was something my old gyno didn't tell me about so when I started getting nauseated and having intestinal issues I stopped taking it. If I would of known it takes awhile for your body to adjust I would of sucked it up and waited for my body to adjust properly.
I updated my friends on my widow support website and something one of my fellow widower friends said about his late wife made me think. He talked about how his wife didn't even know she was pregnant til her daughter starting kicking her. I had a similar issue. I had cycles like clockwork from the age of 10 thru adulthood.
Shortly after Josh and I got married I missed a period. I started taking OTC pregnancy tests and even a blood test at the military clinic, negative on everything. I finally decided I was going to make a gyno apt. Well military regs require you get a pregnancy test before they schedule a gyno apt. Well, long story short I wound up being pregnant after having a urine and blood test drawn. The nurse kind of chewed my butt out saying "How did you not know you were pregnant?" Um, maybe because every d*mn test I took came out negative?! I found out Sept 6 I was pregnant. I went into preterm labor on Oct 13. I spent 3 days in the naval hospital being given steriods through an IV. I went into full blown labor on the afternoon of Nov 14th. After trying everything to stop my labor, my water broke on its own and Maddie was born in the wee hours of Nov 15, 8 weeks early. She spent 7 weeks in NICU.
The further I researched symptoms of PCOS the more I realized I could have been suffering from this since a very young age. 2 side effects are facial hair and acne. I've suffered with both most of my life. I'm using Proactiv to clear my face up and go to the salon every few weeks to get waxed.
I know my dr wasn't completely sure that this is what I have. However, after all the research I've done in the past two days I can't believe this hasn't been determined before now. Now, I just wait to see what a fertility specialist tells me.
More hugs.

Happy Memorial Day to everyone!
As I mentioned above, nothing much on the schedule for today.
I did lots of laundry yesterday and will finish up a few loads today, so that is ready for the week. I ran the dishwasher this morning and will go empty that in a few minutes, and I already hung a load of kitchen towels on the line. I've already done lots of chore this morning, so I will give myself permission to sit and scrap for a few hours today. I had intended to yesterday, but DD asked me to help her create a motivational poster for her room. She had already done most of the work, finding the quotes, deciding on the layout, etc, but needed a bit of help just gluing it all down. It looks great! Wish I could share it with everyone here. Lots of super motivational quotes about exercising and never giving up! Maybe I'll take a photo of it later to show you all.
She was really disappointed to hear that the ONE chance that her relay had of making a Nationals cut this summer isn't going to happen. The youngest member of the relay team is having her Bat Mitzvah that weekend! The girls understand how important that is to their friend, but they are really disappointed. They are working with the coach to possibly find another time/date to do time trial. Unfortunately it needs to be in a regulation long course 50 meter pool and there aren't many of those around here.
Well. The guys are up now and I'm sure they are hungry. My belly is rumbling too, since I've been up for a few hours and have only had coffee!
Have a marvelous day! TTYL............................P
