Wednesday I walked for 45 minutes on the treadmill and tonight I did my 2 mile WATP tape, 30 minutes.
Thank you WeirdEyes for starting the thread, I had seen that jennz was going to be busy today, but I could not go through all the weight loss posts at work w/o getting noticed.
 

Hi everyone! Just checking in before I'm off for the day again...I have a busy week next week too but that's good, keeps me out of the kitchen! :) I am trying not to exercise today - ha ha ! but am going to make myself, I can squeeze 30 minutes in as long as I get off the computer! School's out at 11:40 today and then I'm taking dd and a friend to the Zoo Boo, a Halloween thing so I'll get lots of walking in there. It's chilly here - in the 40's and raining! I guess that's good for me though since my body will have to work to keep me warm! :goodvibes

I stayed even for the week, my extra Disney pounds are hanging around for a while. I'm still having a hard time with my eating, I need to restock the fridge and that will make a HUGE difference I'm sure! I'm staying off the scale because my ring is tight and I think it will be up so I'm not weighing until Tuesday when it will be down again! That's my plan and I'm sticking to it. :earboy2:

Christie (dopey4disney) is sick and wiped out, some flu or other nasty something. Hopefully she'll be feeling better soon!

My exercise for the week...So far just Wednesday, 40 minutes. I'm off to get today's in...

Keep posting everyone! Keep up the great work! :cheer2: We're in week 6 and this is the tough time to get through...it's been going on for a while and the initial excitement is gone. This is a lifestyle we're adjusting to and like all changes there are times we will want to dump it and go back to our old comfortable ways...but they're not really that comfortable are they? That's why we've all made the decision to take this challenge, to challenge ourselves to become the healthy strong energetic people we know we are... to borrow from a well known 12-step program - one day at a time, for me sometimes it's one meal at a time. It becomes overwhelming when I want to quit so I have to focus on the small things and yes my meals have become smaller! :teeth: Your posts have helped motivate me...thanks everyone!! :grouphug:
 
even though i havent been doing so great exercising and stuff, i still lost a pound--i think im losing inches, my pants are getting baggy!!
starting monday im going to start back up again..its just hard this weekend--bday stuff every day--what a pain :)
but im back and still going!
 
I was sooo proud of myself today, I drove to VA to get my daughter from college. I stopped at a rest stop on the PA turnpike, there was a Cinnabon counter there and OMG did they smell good. I actually got money out of my wallet and started to get in line, but I stopped myself, and then walked away.
I think it had to do with the fact that I was disappointed in not losing weight this past week and realized that eating a cinnabon was not going to help me for next weeks weigh in.
No exercise for me today though, after a 5 hour and 15 minute drive down (there was an accident which added time to my drive) and a 4 and 1/2 hour drive back, I am whipped!....but I am happy to see my DD, this is her first trip home. She went to college on 8/25

BlueEyes - I'm glad you can tell the difference in your clothes - how exciting for you!! :cool1: That's got to be motivating too, great job! :cheer2:

Helen - you passed up Cinnabon - :banana: :banana: awesome!! You have great reason to be proud - you made a super choice! That was probably a day's worth of calories in one, or maybe around 1/2 pound of calories. Whatever it was it's the thought behind passing it up that's awesome - nothing's going to get you off track! :cheer2:

I exercised 40 minutes last night, and walked 78 minutes today (4.5 miles). I hope everyone is having a great weekend, and keep up the good work!!

tomorrow starts my new exercise program thing....ever since i got home from disney ive been having a hard time, but decided im starting to eat better and exercise starting tomorrow-----probably not much at first, but well see how it goes!
 
Jen - I'm with you! Same thing, since we got back from Disney I've haven't done what I've wanted to and I'm tired of it, today is my new start! Let's do this!
 
Hi everyone!! My weekend was soooo hectic; I didn't have time to post! It was my birthday on Friday and let me tell you, I've eaten way too much! I'll probably have a gain this week. :guilty:

Helen ~ I BIG congrats on passing the Cinnabon! I know how hard that is. You go girl!!!

BlueEyes ~ Inches make a huge differences. Keep up the good work!

Sunday 50 minutes on the treadmill

I was able to exercise 40 minutes on Saturday, but I am sorry I did nothing but eat on Sunday! Yikes! Luckily for me, we have nothing on the calendar that can mess me up this coming weekend. Now I just have to get through two school Halloween parties this week! Hopefully, there won't be enough treats for adults.

Hello everyone! I'm proud to say I just finished 1 entire hour of exercise!! Now I'm going to have a grilled chicken salad for lunch. I "borrowed" this recipe from a salad that was brought in for teacher appreciation day...spinach leaves, dried apple slices, dried cranberries - she also added walnuts but I forgot to buy them, so some calories/fat saved! :) - and I added 2 oz of grilled chicken breast. Very very tasty! I'm going to try it tomorrow w/lettuce since I am limited to 2 servings of spinach/week (not that that's usually a problem!! :rotfl2: ). This salad is crunchy and sweet and satisfying.

Anyone have any other meal/snack ideas?

Helen - that's a great amount of exercise, you're very hard on yourself - you're doing awesome and you're consistently getting your exercise in - WTG!! :banana:

MinnieMouseMom - great job on you WATP!! So where are you walking them away to? :rotfl: I know you've got to be leaving them somewhere you're like helen and do a great job at getting your exercise in! :cheer2:

well i have to say i didnt do bad eating today--yogurt and peaches for lunch!! i got 20 min of exercise in , not great, but better than what i have been doing lately!!

Ha, I'm still walking, but they don't seem to be going very far. ;) They seem to like staying with me and my hips, my thighs, my belly, my arms, my........ :rolleyes:
