Hello Blue Team Members and Red Team members who are secretly Blue Teamers at heart! ;) Can you believe this is week 5? :earseek: we've been getting healthier for 4 weeks now - awesome job for hanging in there everyone!! I'd like to bring back our "just say no challenge" for the week, I need some help getting back on track. I said no to hash browns this morning, so there's 1... :earboy2: Our challenge that goes along with this is "just say yes" to a more active lifestyle...choosing the stairs instead of the elevator, parking farther away, choosing water instead of diet Coke ( ). Let's post some numbers and keep up our exercise challenge too! Last week we had 18 hours and 50 minutes - great job everyone!! What's your personal best for exercise? I challenge you to beat it by 1 hour this week - that's just 10 minutes a day - anyone up for it??

Week 4 and Total Losses!

Have I missed where it's announced which team - blue or red - wins each week? :confused3

Okay, I just stumbled across the week 3 totals for both teams. Guess I have my answer.

Okay everyone are you ready for this...as of 9:24 central time - last week we lost a total of 18. 6 pounds for a grand total of 72.9 pounds!! :earseek: :jumping1: That is awesome!! I was the biggest loser two weeks ago with 4.4 pounds...LauraJean has the current title with 2.5 pounds gone (for a grand total of a large newborn! :rotfl: )!

Helen - great job with the exercise and losing 2 pounds!

Robinb - welcome back! :goodvibes awesome job on 1.7 pounds - that's great use of your time at the Y.

K&K's Mommy - you've got to feel great about 1/2 pound gone after a weekend of scrapping! :earboy2: WTG!

QuiltTeddy - super job not gaining - I'm sure there will be a loss this week! :Pinkbounc

WDWFAN9 - 1 pound at your daughter's wedding is nothing - that'll be gone as quickly as it came on and your attitude is fantastic!

Let's keep posting and moving. Hey Terry - what's your loss for the week? We need to mix it up with the Red Team...any ideas? :smooth:

I meant to wear my pedometer at WDW but I forgot, I would have loved to have the numbers. Something a little more definitive than "alot." Sorry!

Oops! When is our weigh-in? I thought we had until today ...

That 1.7 pounds was for last week (week 4), not week 5. Can you add it to week 4 for me? I'll promise to weigh in on Tuesday next week. Never mind. I see it was the total for week 4. Not enough coffee this morning ;).

Can I make a suggestion? Can you "bump" the original Blue Team thread with the link to this week? It might remind some of our members to re-join (like me, *sigh*).

Woo Hoo Blue Team!!

Jennz - You'll get rid of that Disney weight in no time! Drink lots of water!

Today I got my walk in before my DH went to work. I even ran (okay, slow jog!) a little bit. I think it was about 35 minutes, but I forgot to look at the clock when I left.

Wow
What a great week for our team!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes
I was able to say no to doughnuts this morning, the people in my office just love to bring in dunkin doughnuts...it is hard to pass them up.
My goal for exercise this week is to walk for least an hour on the treadmill, every day. Maybe I will start doing my walk away the pounds tapes again, the treadmill can be a bit boring.
I feel so much better since starting this challenge, I am hoping to lose at least another 5 to 7 pounds by the time I go to WDW on 12/4, this way I can at least treat myself a bit :mickeybar

I stayed the same this week. I've been having stomach "issues" all week and haven't felt like exercising. Now that it is getting a little cooler here, DH said he'll start walking with me every night. That is a good thing because our neighborhood is very hilly and DH walks fast. I have to walk very fast to keep up with him. We walk 3 miles.

Congrats to all of the losers!!! :cool1:

Robin - good idea, I bumped the original Blue Team thread and put a link to this one :goodvibes

MinnieMouseMom - congrats on the .8 pounds (about 3 sticks of butter!) and on the TaeBo!!

K&K's Mommy - great job getting out this morning! I headed out w/my dogs :dog: :dog2: this morning, great weather for a walk. Thanks for the encouragement - I've been drinking lots of water today... :drinking1

Helen - great "no" on the doughnuts! I've said my no's to dd's candy she got trick or treating at WDW...I think I need to move it off the table.
I'm glad that you can tell a difference since the challenge started started - thanks for posting that - very motivational for me! An hour a day on the treadmill - WDW will be like some time off for you then! :rotfl:

Sheila - congrats on no weight gain! I'm seeing a pattern here...a week the same, lose a pound, a week the same, lose a pound, a week the same...so let's see what next week brings! Especially with 3 mile fast hilly walks!

Did you guys see Kelsie's new thread? Total loss for both teams to date is over 170 pounds!! :earseek: We are all winners! :cheer2:

Hi Jenn!

I posted on the other thread. Just 1 pound this week. Arrrrgh. It's paybacks for sneaking a peek at the scale on Sunday (I was down 2.5) but TOM has decided to come over. I guess he is hanging around for the Cardinal games.

I am going to challenge myself to drinking more WATER! No Dt Coke until I have had 3 24 oz. water bottles! :drinking: That should help!

WOW - 72.9 pounds in Four Weeks! That's amazing! WAY TO GO, BLUE TEAM!!!

Now to think of something diabolical for the Red Team.

I have been distracted by the Cardinals and some tests I am undergoing tomorrow.

Wow Terry what will power! :worship: I don't think I could go that long without a dc! I keep telling myself that I'll cut back, but of course that's AFTER I have my dc's for the day... :teeth: Next week will be a big week for you, plus I have a good feeling about the Blue Team's next weigh-in! Maybe we'll actually beat that "other" team... pirate: Drink lots of water! Good luck on your tests tomorrow... :wizard:

I'm hiding under my desk with my head hung low with shame.

I gained again this week 2 pounds, I am now right back where I started. You are all more than welcome to kick me off the challenge, I wouldn't blame you. I have done better today. I have stayed on program with my food, I have already drank all of my water for the day and I AM going to walk at least two miles as soon as I get off work.

Everyone else is doing such a wonderful job!!! I am in awe of all you :worship:

Keep up the great work!!! :cheer2: Go Blue :cheer2:

Nope sorry you can't get out of this! It's time to recommit - new week new start. You need to do this so you can have awesome stamina during your trip to Disney!! You can do it! Let's see a big loss this week.

Okay here's some Jillian "Stop thinking about what we think of you and think about what you think about yourself. Don't freakin' tell me what you can't do show me what you CAN do now get out there and give me those 2 miles at a fast pace! And take the stairs too!"

Now for Bob, "So you slipped up over the past two weeks - let's look at today. You're eating great and exercising and it's all about life changes you can live with. You're doing great!"

Now for me ( :) ) You can do this, you've already lost a lot and are well on your way to your goal. You know the steps you need to take and you just have to take control back - now get out there and walk! :cheer2:

:rotfl2: Thank you Jillian, Bob and Jennifer you all know just what to say!!

This IS a new week and I AM going to get back on track.

Have a great day!!!!

Well said, Jillian!

Hi Blue Team!

I exercised 50 minutes last night. Today is a day of rest!

Last night instead of walking on the treadmill, I did my 2 mile WATP tape, its just over 30 minutes of exercise but a great work out. I was hoping then to go on the treadmill afterward but my legs were like jello.
I think I will alternate one night treadmill, one night WATP this way I'll get a better overall workout.

Good morning, Blue Team!!!! :goodvibes

Wouldn't you know it, I stepped on the scales this morning and am down 1/2 lb. Now why couldn't it have showed up yesterday morning? LOL

Jennifer ~ I hope you're right....I lose 1 lb every other week. Losing an average 1/2 lb a week is fine with me. Thanks for always being so supportive to our team! You rock, girl! :rockband:

Helen ~ The WATP videos REALLY work!!! Great job!

Who was the biggest loser this week? I think I missed the post and I can't find it now. Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS to our Biggest Loser!!!

For those that slipped this week, just get right back on the horse. We all know you can do it! If I can, anybody can. ;)

helenk - I love the WATP videos, they are definitely a good workout.

I walked 2 miles for a total of 36 minutes after work yesterday. I was going to go for 3 miles but decided not to push it. I think I will add a mile next week.

Everyone keep up the great work!!

:cheer2: Go Blue!! :cheer2:
