Biggest Loser 9 Spring challenge -- Part 2! HERE WE ARE! :)

Just wanted to jump in for a minute and wish everyone luck with the weigh in tomorrow. Remember no matter what the scale says, we always have another week to work on ourselves!

I try to eat the minimum 1200 calories but I just don't have an appetite today. Just finished an apple with crunchy peanut butter. Now 186 calories to go. hmmmm...strawberries with angel food cake?
 
I recommend Marathoning for Mortals by John Bingham, it has a walking program in there for a 1/2, great book! Even though I've never actually walked one I've been tempted. He also has a great website, John Bingham

Hey you are the one that beckoned me back. The sassiness is part of the package!!

Besides, I love AKL, it was our very first Disney resort. The boys love it!! But it takes forever and 2 more days to get anywhere. I would stay there again if we planned to spend more time at the resort.
 

Just a minute to reply to the QOTD: Definitely the Grand Floridian, RPC. If I had to not splurge quite that much, I'd go with the Beach Club.

Back from soccer and the event at school. Not going to get the 10th mile in today but I'm going to do my crunches!

Going to do my 7 miles in the morning as my last chance workout. I was tempted to eat badly earlier as the kids were driving me crazy. I am happy to say I wasn't even tempted to have ice cream at the school.

Time for a little Survivor now and my other shows!
 
so Friday is weigh-in............ugh........i just joined today. I will weigh in and then next Friday....look out. Is there going to be a summer loser?

:cheer2: for you! It's a great feeling! We had cupcakes at school today, and I just walked on by. Didn't even tempt me. The mixed nuts mom had out on the end table.... had a handful or two!!!

The summer BL challenge will start on May 28, I think. I am pretty sure we have this week, and next week's weigh in will be the last of the Spring Challenge.

I am beat guys, getting up at 4am is starting to get to me. I did my ab workout and worked with the handweights a bit for my arms. I really should do another ab workout, but I need a better night's sleep, so off to bed I go. Got my pics from snapfish today, so we've been relieving memories from last year's WDW trip. :hippie:

You do not have to participate but it is there to help you build good habits. Each week we will have two to four habit suggestions for you to do. At the end of the week you report your points to me.

It has been said that if you do something for 30 days it will become a habit. We will start off easy with two habits that have been known to help weight loss. As the weeks go by we will add to these habits. We will never have more than 4 habits to work on each week since that seems to be the number that most people could do without a problem.

I'm up, reluctantly! Some strange alarm went off in our bedroom at 4am. Don't know if it was the BOSE radio or what. It was also flashing a green glow! WEIRD! Of course that kind of noise out of the blue gave me a headache. But I got up and did the 4 mile workout. Still got the 3 mile at 7:30 to do! Feeling really good about how hard I worked this week. Just need to make sure I don't blow it this weekend.

Going to be good today except for my Friday drink. Tomorrow we will be having pizza at the party for supper. I will be good earlier in the day. Sunday will be Chinese food so I will probably eat a moderate breakfast and then have Chinese food for lunch. I will get in workouts both days. I plan on doing the 4 miles first thing in the morning before DD2s soccer game. Don't know if I'll get anymore in though we are pretty much set for the party. TOnight we will be baking cookies and baking the cake. Hoping to grill a pork tenderloin for supper.

Gotta make DD1s lunch and get clothes out for DD2.

I'll be back on later with my results!

So since he doesn't care, I'll say the Grand Floridian. I would love to go in october. I thought we'd get to the first halloween party this laborday weekend, but they're starting later, so we won't, but i'd love to see the parks for halloween.

friday morning whine...

waking up most mornings with an allergy headache and hotflashes is really crushing my exercise plans. i thought food would be my downfall, not pollen and hormones!

I am down 3 for the week!!! :cool1: That makes 47 since January. I am feeling better about life this morning! I am going to try to rock it this week to push for 50 gone this year. And, I have decided to stop waffling and set a goal for the next challenge, instead of all this "well, I'll wait and see how it goes" junk.

Busy day, weekend. DD1 has her state gymnastics championships Sunday. I am really excited for her. Her vault especially has been kicking butt, I would love for her to place in state on vault! We'll leave tomorrow night, it's a 5 hr. drive to get there, and DH has to work tomorrow. She also has her state standardized testing for NCLB next week, so we're in study mode.

Off to retrieve a 45 lb. clippie! (Does it take anyone else forever to mess w/ their signature?)Happy Friday everyone! :dance3:

Good morning losers, maintainers and all of us that are still here!!!
This morning's weigh in was my best so far---of course that's cause when I got back earlier this week from 10 days of slacking (and gaining 8.5 lbs in those 10 days :scared1:) I am very happy to say that I've lost 7.5 lbs of that--I worked hard this week and was able to resist non-planned for treats. I'm still up 1 lb from where I was before that period of travel and stress but so very happy to be back almost to where I was :)

I want to thank Dona for the COWs this week - they helped me get it back on track--and there were a couple of days when I actually did some things I didn't want to cause I had to record them on my COW record. Thanks Dona!!!!!

Can't believe this is the last week of the challenge--what a challenge it has been! I'm in such a different place than I was in January--I mean - planning on walking a half marathon - me? are you kidding? Nope - that's me now :) setting physical goals that I will work the next 34 weeks to accomplish... and I will do all I can to get to the point where there is no chance of being swept in the half... I know I can do this - cause look at what I've done so far...

Anyway - hope that everyone has a great last week - and that this week's weigh in is peaceful and a motivator for you!! Let's finish strong - reach for those goals instead of the donuts ;) Have a magically disney day!!

Yeah for us, Dona - I know that more people participated this week! Thank you so very much for these COWs--they have been key in my success so far - I'm a check list kind of gal and these have helped keep me focused and more on track than I would have been without them.
I hope more of us participate in the COW this week--I know it will help us all finish this last week strong and having done all we could do to get to that 1250 lb total goal and our individual goals as well.

After weeks and weeks of numbers going the wrong direction on my scale, I had a GREAT number this morning. :cool1:

I know my success is due to many factors, but accountability in this challenge has been a big factor. I also love the pick-me-ups I can get any time I need them by just checking in on the discussion thread. Thank you all.

It has been a crazy few months and I am determined to push hard through this last week of the challenge.

I weighed in today and I lost 4.6 pounds. I am pretty happy. I have lost 21 pounds and have only a little over 8 pounds to lose before I go on my trip. Its amazing how much these boards help! I have never hit a goal before and I feel I am pretty close to hitting this one. My next goal (after this 30 pounds) will be to lose 20 pounds. I kept thinking today, that if that was my goal this go around, I would have already hit it!

Tonight is my splurge night. I will have pizza and a diet soda. Last week I stuck to just one splurge day, so I know I can do that again.

I hope the scale treats you all right today. As this is our last week, lets PUSH IT!!!!!! :goodvibes

That's funny about Michael wanting to stay at Pop!!


Well I feel a bloated pig today!!!! I am up 2 pounds and feel horrible...like a Midol commercial! That's about all I have to say...;)
 
WOOHOO! Down 2.6 for the week! Another new low!!!!! Of course the Wii Fit said I had gained 2 pounds since I was on it last time. Glad I don't use that as my scale.

Discovered what the noise was at 4AM. It was a car emergency light that also had an alarm in it. The girls must have bumped it and the switch was kind of on and it clicked on and then the battery ran out. I knew I recognized the sound but couldn't place it. I happened to look under the bed before I left the house and discovered it.

Did my 7 miles. Had my usual for breakfast running out the door. Just fixed myself a cup of tea as I still have a bit of a headache. At work now holding down the fort while the others do nails. I have to come back to give a chair massage at 3. Hope to be able to go home for awhile before that.
