~ BIGGEST LOSER ~ 9 ~ COUPLES ~ SPOILERS welcome!!!

I know! I was really frustrated by that promo. As I've said before, I wish they would offer some real advice on nutrition (and cravings). Gum can work once in awhile, but I was hoping he'd suggest some sugar free pudding or something at least kind of a dessert.

Agree with your take on Melissa - I know lots of people hate her, but I don't mind her when I compare her to Tracy last season who I couldn't stand.I was surprised about Daris/Orange - I had no idea he was doing so well in his weight loss!
It was indeed the dumbest gum promo. Usually I can spot a promo spot a mile away on this show, but it never entered my mind that Bob would offer gum, when Stephanie was staring at cakes!

I don't know why but I hope the black team dad stays (Darrel?). I found myself pulling for him in the elimination challenge.

Yeah, to me Melissa is mild compared to Tracy, let alone Vickey and Heba. I have no idea if she threw those weigh in's. At first I thought she had, then she swore on the life of her own children she had not. So who knows. And for sure she has done well at home, but we don't know the weekly breakdown of how she has lost that weight, for all we know, she's had that same sort of pattern (big loss, small gain and so on) at home.

I really like Daris and am thrilled he's doing so well. And I was also pulling for Darrel. I like Orange mom a lot, but there is something about that dad I just really like.

For some reason, O'Neal was on my last nerve last night. No idea why, maybe because I like Darrel so much and was just bummed he lost that challenge.

Mostly, I was just relieved Stephanie didn't fall below. I really like her so much!

I think when I go to the bakery in Frace at Epcot next month, I'll just stand outside the door offering people Extra Sugar Free Gum and see how far I get.;)

Melissa is gone! :woohoo::woohoo::cheer2::cheer2:

I can NOT believed she gained a pound....TWICE. :confused3 I don't know how that happens.

And I love Cheryl! She is so cute, but her torch looked so crooked and I hope she stays. I like Derryl too. I hate to see either of them go home ):

I can't believe both the pink team girls are still here though! I don't think they do so well, especially in the challenges. :confused3

I was really please to have a challenge instead of the usual voting to decide who's going home. I hate the drama, the seemingly nice "X needs to stay here more", while everyone is mostly looking out for themselves! However, that's cruel, making us wait 3 weeks for the result. :scared:

Dh and I both high fived and sang "Ding Dong the witch is dead" at the end of the weigh in. However after much reflection, our feeling (shared by a few here) is that she knew she wasn't going to win, knew people were gunning for her, and she threw in the towel on purpose.

I just read an interview (on Reality TV World) with Melissa who said that Dr H told her that she was the only contestant to have gained muscle and "everyone knows muscle weighs more than fat".

Hmm...5 lbs of muscle = 5 lbs of fat = 5 lbs of butter = 5 lbs of ANYTHING !!! And she's a lawyer???

She is still trying to convince herself that she didn't throw the weigh-ins. Too bad no one believes her. I think she just fattened up to get her husband on the show and then she started messing around to get home. Glad she's gone.

I honestly don't have enough evidence either way to prove that she either threw or didn't throw the weigh-ins. I don't like judging people based off of circumstantial evidence, so I will reserve my judgement with respect to Melissa. I didn't like or dislike her, so I didn't care when she was eliminated.

I honestly don't care if Melissa threw the weigh-ins or not I'm just glad she's gone! lol I couldn't stand her, it'll be interesting to see how Lance does now. I think she just did whatever she could to keep Lance there longer because he needed it more than her.

My faves now are definitely the grey team, I love Sam and Koli!

i think she wanted to go home. that speech seemed to have been thought out. probably a far fetched idea, but i think that she has manipulated her entire stay. she seems to have lost relatively well at home, without mysterious gains. i think i am becoming cynical.

I totally agree....when she was going on and on and on, I just wanted to yell "SHUT UP!" She drove me crazy. Lance isn't one of my favorites either, so hopefully he'll follow her soon.

Don't know what to make of Melissa. When she started talking about how other people should be there because of health reasons, it sounded to me like she wanted to go home. She is looking great at home, so obviously she is not having problems losing there.

Finally watched! Wow that was a pretty good show.:woohoo:

I agree with the others that Melissa's "speech" was rehearsed. She wanted to go home. She said in her speech, that she could not compete with the others.

As far as the rest of the show, I loved listening to the Olympic stories. That was sooooo cool!!!!

I'm glad Melissa is gone too, and I agree that she threw herself under the bus this week for Lance. (Doesn't he have to be under 250 to go back to work?)

What about Miggy? She was beautiful with her hair down and she seems to have relaxed a bit. I really like her (as well as all the remaining contestants).

I agree that the challenge between Cheryl and Darryl instead of the voting is much more enjoyable to watch. I can't believe they are making us wait!

This season's group (now that Melissa is gone) really don't seem to be too interested in game play, but that'll probably all come to an end with the blue vs black teams. We'll see.

Her speech was the biggest sob story EVER. I have never heard such a long, rehearsed, good bye speech ever on that show. I thought what she said was kind of rude too :confused3
And I have no doubt that Lance will be gone soon. Him and Melissa did everything together, and I don't think he will do as well with out her nagging him the whole time.

And I have mixed feelings about Miggy! When that whole thing when they had to vote between her and her daughter drama I didn't like her attitude very much. But now she's kind of chillin a little more. And I do like her new hair style.

Miggy hasn't stopped smiling since her daughter has been gone. Maybe it WAS Migdalia who was the one dragging them down? Maybe she was so miserable about her husband leaving? Anyhoo, Miggy has looked fantastic the last two episodes. She is positively PRETTY when she smiles, and with her hair doen she looked half her age last night.

She's growing on me.

I also think they should do a two person competition to determine who goes home, ALL THE TIME. enough of this "voting people off" stuff.

EXCEPT I don't like the part where we have to wait 3 weeks to find out who is going home :scared:

And ya, the voting gets on my nerves. The schpeels are always the same..."we voted for blahblahblah because we felt they really don't want to be here..." and the COMMERCIALS. The commercials would always come on at the worst times.

I agree. She made it sound like: "These people are all SO much fatter and less in shape than me! I'm not as fat and lazy as they have been" Well, sweetie-just who did you think was going to be on this show with you?? Athletes??

Didn't like her gameplaying, didn't like her attitude, will not miss her. I also think she'll put all the weight right back on after the final episode.

That is what I said right off the bat. The issue was with mother/daughter. I got that vibe instantly.

They kept their traps shut because it would NOT look good on TV to speak of it.

I have to give them a lot of street smarts.:thumbsup2

Plus the women needed her appendix out, she had to feel like absolute crap.

I felt like what she said was a huge slap in the face. They know they're overweight and don't want to hear it from a fellow teammate :confused3 Well, personally I know I wouldn't want to hear it from someone else in the same boat as me. :confused3

It was all game-play for her, and she dragged everything out and made it as dramatic as possible. A couple episodes where she "threw" the weigh ins, Bob was willing to let everything go, but I feel like Melissa kept arguing and arguing with him! Bob was willing to let bygones be bygones...but she just kept dragging it out and I lost a lot of respect for her. Not that I liked her very much to begin with. And I don't like Lance either. Lance is just silly putty in Melissa's hands and will do anything she tells him to do. It was like he had no independence :confused3

Yeah, even though I have taken up for Melissa sometimes, (why I don't know, guess I am always for the underdog!) I thought her comments about how everyone else needed to lose weight more because they were so unhealthy was just wrong. She is not the skinniest person on that ranch, I don't have the exact stats off hand, but it appears to me that Miggy, Stephanie, Sheryl and Pink mom all weight about the same or less. That last speech she made really turned me off. It was too long, too fakey sad and insulting to the others. And I had to laugh at Miggy's stoneface when Melissa said her goodbye's. You know that even though the drama between those two has seemed to subside there is no question that Miggy is thrilled to see her go!

I am just not sure Lance can go the distance without his wife/mama/puppetmaster there to help him figure out the game.
And regardless of who loses that challenge, I do think either one of the kids on Black and Orange would be fine without their parent there. Daris in particular.

I agree that Miggy looked better with her hair down, she seems to have relaxed a bit, I like it! I was loving the karma during the challenge, Alison was commenting that it was between Sam and Melissa as they were neck and neck. Melissa turns her head a bit and yells "don't fall Sam!" or something to that effect, something to throw him off his stride and not too long after that...she fell on her butt herself! Loved it! lol
