Mainly my son is my motivation. I want to be healthy, and teach him healthy lifestyles so I will be around for a long time. I want to be able to go hiking, and be able to breathe and keep up with him. I don't want kids to tease him because he has a fat mom.
What motivates you on your weight loss journey?
!
I am also motivated by my mom. She had diabetes, was overweight, was sedemtary and had smoked, so her health problems as she aged were mostly lifestyle related. I know there is some genetics involved too, but if I can live my life as healthy as possible, I hope I will be able to age into an active senior citizen, and take my grandkids to disneyworld.
I want to feel better too. When I am exercising regularly, I have so few aches and pains, and more energy to keep up with the boy.
Right now, I also want to have some control over my life. I've had a lot of loss lately, and I remember Pllja during the summer challenge telling me, that I can't control my mom's health problems, but I can control what I do for myself, and what I eat. I lost a friend on friday, and I have not comforted myself with food, and am not planning to. Getting up in the morning and doing some exercise really does make a difference in the rest of the day.
Great question shannon.
I got up this morning and took a 3 mile walk with a friend, and then went grocery shopping. I did not buy any junk! That is a big deal for me. I know I cannot have it in the house or I will eat it when I am feeling emotional.
Hope you all have a great monday.
