Hey everybody. Hope everyone's having a good week!!
I went on a day trip Saturday and still am not back down to my last Fri weight. But I had a good time and less worried about the scale and more focused on staying focused

Besides, I tried a chocolate martini for the first time and it truley was worth a temporary setback.
I did the stress test and got a 38. I've had a lot of stress in my life and had to learn how to manage it better. My husband lost his leg in a hunting accident a week after we were married and we had just found out we were having a baby. Just remembering back 10 yrs ago makes me dizzy and nauseous. I still fall off the wagon but overall I have developed some tricks. One is to repeat "This too shall pass". Another one is to focus on just getting through the next 15 min if looking at the whole day would be too overwhelming. I also turn to prayer and a prayer partner if I feel I'm going over the proverbial cliff. Of course, I used to turn to food, carbs and chocolate to be more precise. Lately, I feel more in control for the most part. The idea of getting into a bathingsuit on Memorial weekend is what caused things to click for me this time.
I've had more "me" time lately as my DS9 loves to read, so we each read a separate book in his room before he goes to sleep. Normally I'd say goodnite and spend the evening doing the chores that never seem to end. I like reading better
I've also committed myself to going to the gym and playing my favorite music that I never had time to listen to while I do my cardio. I'm really enjoying it.
This challenge has made me take the time and write down my "list of things to do" that always seem to get moved down lower on the list when it really should just be crossed off already. It stresses me that they aren't done, so I will just do them!
1. Clean out my closet. Ugh!! Just the thought makes me want to go do something else.
2. Download more music to listen to at the gym. The time I could be doing that I am usually lurking on the community board!! I get mad at myself that I haven't priortized the time to do it. But it is pretty cool that I go to the gym often enough that I'm bored with the playlists I do have...
3. Organize the spare room. I just did it back in January and it's a mess again. It is the catchall room so the house stays somewhat neater. What did I ever do with all that crap when my older son lived here??
I work for myself and don't actually 'take a lunch' so to speak. I rearranged my days to give me gym time, so I won't get any points for #2 on the challenge.
Sorry for the long post. I needed to get caught up. I am loving this challenge. It really has helped me.
