Good Friday morning. I have to check where I am in terms of weight. I don't remember what I was at last week.

Don't forget the following from Joanne(JOANNEL)
Please report your weight using the number of pounds ie xxx pounds
If you would like to add your change for the week that is OK ie I lost 2 pounds. Remember weights can be reported in 1/10 of pound increments ie xxx.x pounds.

Please report by midnight Friday
If you are late report as soon as you remember. I know sometimes RL (real life) is more important.

Please PM or email your weekly report to Joanne (JOANNEL )

Good Luck everyone.

Now folks, help out a weight keeper here please!! Please report your weekly weight to Joanne by PM or email to jlabbe@sterlingresorts.com . Remember to report by midnight Friday and remember to report in pounds ie xxx pounds (not just I lost x pounds). PrettyPlease!!

I'm down .7 this week. Three pounds total for the 5 weeks. :upsidedow

My biggest summer adventure planned is to go to the Tom Petty concert July 12th. It's going to be a whole weekend excursion. If I lose 1 pound a week between now and then I will be at my lowest since I had my son 10 yrs ago. I want to wear shorts at the concert and I am very self conscious of my legs. So I think it will keep me focused on losing the weight.

I plan on keeping up with the fitness trainer 1 time a week, trying a spin class and one called Body Pump. I will be spending lots of time at the pool, and we bought a lawn mower (walk behind with bagger) this spring and that is one of my jobs for the summer.

I am looking into purchasing a business. If it goes through our lives will change a lot, hopefully for the better, by the end of the summer.

I have a lot going on to keep me focused on my health. I don't consider how I eat as dieting, more as a lifestyle change. I've been eating this way for a couple of months now and it's become the norm for me. It's taking less effort and planning. In fact, if I can't eat healthy, I will grab a protein bar before I eat something I really don't want.

Paying for the trainer in advance was a great idea. I know I would have given up already, but since it's paid for I'm still going.

This challenge has been a real good experience for me. Hope everybody has a great summer!

Does the challenge end today????

If so then I am down 6 pounds since the start...I am happy with that and wish to continue!!!

also no gain no loss. Down 15 for the 5 weeks, but still a long long way to go, and the cruise isnt getting any further away. :sad2: But hey, it's a start. :thumbsup2

Hello all.

HI all and happy Friday!!! :wave2:

I'm extremely exicted to say that I lost another 1.5lbs this past week :woohoo:

I loved doing this with you all :grouphug:

Have a good day, and a good holiday weekend

1 Go outside. (5 points for every 20 minutes you spend outside, whether it be walking the dog, playing with the kids, gardening, or just reading a book in the sunlight- max 20) Don’t forget the sunscreen!

I did some of this on Sunday when I was barbequing dinner. It was a lovely day. I finished the rest of the time yesterday. MY school was taking the students out to ride golf carts with funky glasses so that it would feel like they were drunk. I walked from station to station and watched the kids driving and hitting cones. then we went out to watch a car crash and then drop some cars to show the damage of cars at certain speeds. Unfortunately I did not need sunscreen since it was off and on rain. Then I went out to a local fair to watch ds2 play with his jazz band. THen it wasn't raining but it was freezing.

2 Drink 6 glasses of water each day this week (5 points for each successful day) Dehydration is not a good thing!
Easy Did this

3 What summer adventures are you planning? How does this affect your mind set on your weight loss journey? (Are you planning on maintaining, continuing to lose?)Discuss (10 points)
Trip to the Fl keys and then DW:woohoo: :woohoo: MY problem with this is ds2 who I could always share meals with is too big to do this anymore and dh doesn't like to share I will just have to watch my portions control.

4 How do you plan on surviving vacation? How will you maintain your eating and exercising? How will you keep your stress level down? Discuss (10 points)
I plan on getting up early to swim. I like to do yoga and then will probably walk a couple times a week.

5 Write down your goals for the summer, from fitness, weight loss and health, to reading that new novel, visiting with people you don’t get to see, staying on budget while away or just having more "me" time. Prioritize them and jot down ways to get them accomplished. (25 points) Review this list often over the summer.
My goals for the summer are:
1. Work on an exercise program so that it becomes second nature to me
2. Get my eating under control
3. CLEAN my sewing room so that I can be more creative.
4. FInish reading 1776 and read John Adams (I loved the miniseries)
5. Enjoy ds2 before he leaves for college.

Hi Everyone!

I hate to say that I dropped out of the race.:(

Week 4 was bust for me due to (sorry, TMI) a really hideous PMS. I gained 5 pounds in water weight and gave into my chocolate cravings.

Then early Friday morning (5/23), our dog of 13 years became suddenly ill and I had to rush him to the vet. A grim diagnosis and $2000 later we had to have him put down.:sad1: The last thing on my mind has been my diet.

So, I wanted to let you know that I didn't just disappear and I have been thinking of you all and continue to cheer you on. I'll check back in for the final results!

I'm hoping that a new challenge starts soon to help me get back on track!

Keep up the great work!

Hello

Where is everyone?

My plan for the summer is to continue on with my exercise program which includes running at least 4 to 5 days a week. I also plan on staying motivated with drinking lots of water and watching everything that goes into my mouth. Portion control is a big thing with me.

I am thankful for the Biggest Loser challenges going back to January and will be more than happy to join in again when the next one starts.
