I measure & I encourage everyone else to as well! If there's no loss on the scale, there's usually a loss on the meausring tape. You wouldn't believe the inches I have lost and after 35 lbs. I fit in some jeans I couldn't wear before, but they're the same size as my old ones that still fit, just a little loose. I have to wonder if my size will ever change from an 18.

I totall 2nd the measuring! The weeks I maintained i still saw several inches gone over all. The total inches lost since I started 34lb ago is amazing!

I am down 1lb again this week. Not bad considering the cake extraveganza going on around here with Valentines day and 2 birthday parties this weekend. I'm back on track though and the cake is gone gone gone so we're off on another week.

reminder that today is last day of this challenge i'm glad to hear it gave some LOSERS a friendly kick to get moving :cheer2:

challenge points are sent to PRINCESS VIJA -- details in the link above

QOTD -- definately when my clothes fit better boosts me...that and how great i feel when i eat right vs. junk foods. I haven't lost much yet, but i can tell my tummy pouch is getting smaller and that definately gets me going!!

Hi, all! I'm down one pound this week. Not nearly as much as last week, but I think it's because I'm on school vacation and not running around like a madwoman. LOL! I'm down a total of 9 pounds thus far. Just over 30 left to go. My "goal swimsuit" is in my bedroom. I tried to try it on yesterday, but I still have a WAYS to go. :rotfl2:

Good luck, everybody!!!

Well i am up again this week. I am on a roller coaster so far this year. My downfall was Valentines. I made peanut brittle (for the kids) and apparently I was the only one who actually liked it. So I ate some and ate some more. But now it is gone and I won't be making any treats for awhile.

I am down 2 pounds this week. I am surprised, since I was sick for most of the week and did not exercise or pay close attention to my diet. Oh, well, I'll take it!

Congrats to everyone who lost and stayed the same this week!

I'm down 1.6 this week. Dona, great QOTD. I was going to come on here and post that the # isn't as exciting as the changes that I'm seeing. So I smiled when I saw your question.

And I read how you maintained and yet see a big difference. I find that very common, where the scale doesn't match the roominess in my clothes or sometimes vice versa. I think there was one week, maybe two weeks ago, on here that I lost over 3 pounds and yet didn't see much of a body change at all that week. So it goes both ways for me and probably everyone of course. I find it all very interesting when I'm in a good mood and very frustrating when I'm in a crappy one!:lmao:

Debi! You do Dance Revolution. Fun! I want to do that. I don't have any systems though. What is the cheapest way of getting a program like that? Is there one that would hook right up to a TV without buying a system? Probably dreaming on that but if anyone knows.....

DD has playstation 2, she's had it for a while but I don't think it was too expensive, maybe $99? I don't think there are any versions that would hook right up to the TV but I could be wrong!

:cheer2: :woohoo: :cool1:  I lost 4.9 this week!!!! WOOOOOHOOO!!! So, minus the 2.5 I gained last week, that means I've lost 2.4 in the past 2 weeks. Not alot, but I'll take it. Overall, it seems I've averaged about 1.5 pounds per week since we started. Not bad, not bad at all!!

To those who gained and maintained, just climb back on the wagon and keep rolling! And congrats to all the losers!:thumbsup2

This woman's story was on our local news last week. Just goes to show that the support of friends can really make a difference.

Thanks for all of your support fellow losers! It really does help.

What an amazing story. VERY brave of her! The day I publish my weight to all my friends and family is the day H**L freezes over!!! It's different with you guys--I can say "OK, today I weighed 264.9# and I'm so excited". But other than my Mom and my sister, forget it! (Well, OK, and that one neighbor who knew when I was 275...)

But I echo tmfranlk's comment--THANKS for all your support! It really DOES help!

This week I'm down 1lb, which finally makes three weeks in a row with a loss.

If you stay the same for a week do you feel your weight loss in other ways?
My changes from one week to the next are so little that the weekly number has so little meaning, be it down, up or same. I have to look at the overall trend. I'm not even sure I really feel the total weight I've lost, even though overall it has been 35lbs and two clothes sizes. I just plugging away and I know it will sink in eventually.:goodvibes

I know what you mean about the small changes every week. You have already lost 35lbs ... WOW, that's wonderful. I originally only had 30lbs to lose, and when I reached that goal, even though I was a smaller size, I didn't really feel the difference in weighing less, until we went on a favorite hike. We had done the same hike the year before, but this time I just bounded up those hills. I can still remember the feeling of freedom I felt .. not only did my body feel lighter, but my heart felt lighter too.

I'm not sure that I can feel a difference week to week. But I can sure tell a difference between when the 1st of the year and now. This might inspire me to get out the tape measure though. And I want to start taking a picture every weigh-in day. That way I can see the results in something besides numbers.

Question of the Day

If you stay the same for a week do you feel your weight loss in other ways?

I don't know if I have. I guess it ends up in my head that I didn't lose and so I feel fatter. I keep trying on these jeans that I used to fit into and I was able to zip them up today! I won't wear them though seeing as I'd like to be able to feel my legs. :rotfl: But I could'nt even get them up enough to zip them! So that helps me feel like it's working because I look in the mirror and don't see anything different. I know that when I finally reach my goal, I will have a whole new wardrobe because of all the clothes in my closet that don't fit me yet.

Good job everyone!!!:thumbsup2 I am down 2 more LBS this week!:dogdance: I really didn't do a lot of working out though so it's mainly diet. But hey who cares, at least I lost this time around. I guess I would be glad even not gaining but not losing.

Oh well I already lost the first one. I work 2 jobs and get up at 7 am with my DD12. I work two 16 hour shifts on the weekend and then mon, tues, thurs, fri from 3:30p-12a I won't get 8 hours until my daughter is grown or I don't need the second job during the week. :faint:

:cheer2: Yay buddy!!

I had a slight loss this week which is okay. As long as I am going down I don't mind taking a while to get there.

QOTD-yes I do feel the weight loss in other ways.

You go girl! Slow and steady wins the race...I keep reminding myself of that and the holiday trick from a few weeks ago!:goodvibes
