Good morning How is everyone doing on weigh in day. I am up 1 pound but that is just a blip and I will be down next week. I will check in later.

Don't forget the following from Brenda (dare2dream)
Please report your weight using the number of pounds ie xxx pounds
If you would like to add your change for the week that is OK ie I lost 2 pounds. Remember weights can be reported in 1/10 of pound increments ie xxx.x pounds.

Please report by midnight Tuesday
If you are late report as soon as you remember. I know sometimes RL (real life) is more important.

Please PM or email your weekly report to Brenda (dare2dream) I am not much of a contributor on our weekly thread but I do read every post. I think Tuesdays are great when everyone checks in to report their weekly progress. It helps to keep us all accountable and it's fun to share your success. Last week I noticed several reports from people I never got a PM or email from. I went through the entire thread and checked. 8 people reported their progress here but never reported to me.

Now folks, help out a weight keeper here please!! Please report your weekly weight to Brenda by PM or email to brenda@kbelectric.biz. Remember to report by midnight Tuesday and remember to report in pounds ie xxx pounds (not just I lost x pounds). PrettyPlease!!

Good morning everyone :sunny:

I just PMed my weigh in to Brenda, so at least I won't have to worry about forgetting or getting too busy later!

I'm happy to report that I'm down 1.5 pounds since my last weigh-in (2 weeks ago). It's not a huge loss, but it's going in the right direction.

I hope everyone is doing well! I've been dealing with a few health issues, so I haven't had as much time to "chat" online. I'm also planning our trip to WDW for this May, so I've been trying to distract myself from the pain I've been experiencing (TMJ, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and plantar fasciitis, all flaring up together; how nice of them. lol) by researching which restaurants we'll dine at, the itinerary, etc.

Bye for now :grouphug:

Terry - sorry to hear you are going through so much.

I just pm'd my weight in as well. I'm down 1 pound. Was hoping it was more. I've been doing great with exercise but not so great with food choices. Still it is a loss and I'm happy with it and feeling good.

Not doing too great on this weeks challenge but still being good to myself.

Have a great day everyone!

OK, so I am not only bummed, but totally confused.:confused3 Somehow I managed to GAIN 2.5 pounds this week. I have no idea why--I've done everything by the book. Water. Food. Exercise. Supplements. It makes NO sense. It can't be TOM--I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago. Is it possible the nutritionist has me eating too much? Should I back down some?

I'm trying really hard not to get depressed over this, but it's very hard. I just don't get it. It makes no sense. And I'm trying so hard.

WHY?????:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I am down .4, its that time of month so I will take it!

Try not to give up. It is so frustrating to have a gain after being so good, but the body definitely can do funny things. I would bet you are retaining some fluid, and if you hang in there and keep up the good work, you will see a loss next week, hopefully all you gained and more. Will you be seeing your nutritionist this week, or can you talk to her and ask her her take on cutting down. Hang in there. Next week will be better.

Hey guys, I am so extremely happpy to report that I am down 5#!!!!!!

:woohoo:  :cool1: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :woohoo: :hyper: party: :jumping1: :dogdance: :flower1:

I am soooo excited. Last week I was weighing myself daily and the scale just didn't seem to be budging, and over the past couple of days it flew, I am so glad I didn't give up, because I really felt frustrated. Now I have to NOT weigh in until next week Tuesday, so I am making that commitment right now, that I will not step on that scale until next week.

Last week I could have claimed the 5# clippie loss, but I just hadn't gotten around to it yet, so now I get to skip the 5# clippie and go right to the 10# loss! Since the challenge started I am down 11#:woohoo:

donac, you are right, it is just a blip on the screen and next week you will put up some big numbers!

Seasray, so sorry you are struggling right now with health issues. Sending hugs that all the painful stuff will go away! And congrats on the 1.5# loss!!!:thumbsup2

WDWLVR, congrats on the 1# loss. I understand the frustration when you think your loss should be more. Hang in there and the scale might surprise you next week!

whgrn, hugs to you! I don't know really what to tell you except don't give up! How often do you see your nutritionist? Are you writing down everything? Are you measuring everything? The only thing that I can think of is maybe there are hidden calories or sodium that is surprising you. When you cook foods are you using nonstick sprays, etc, or butter? those could send in some unwanted calories. The other thing is that my friend had a hysterectomy as well, but she didn't have her ovaries taken out, so her body still goes through hormonal changes each month that does make her weight fluctuate and retain water. Can you share what your plan is with us, maybe we can help? Some more hugs!:flower3:

rkandmjsmommy, congrats on the loss! A loss is a loss and step by step you will get there!

I am down 2.8 this week after a 1.4 gain last week, so I am very happy. Now, just to stay on track and keep up the downward trend.

Congratulations to everyone who has lost and will be seeing a loss when they step on that scale this morning. Hang in there if you maintain or see a gain this week, and you'll see it gone next week.

Have a great day everyone!!

I have a question about task number 4:
but I was wondering if I could substitute something like "put together a puzzle" which is something I have wanted to do and put of for like a year?

foxfiregrrl -- sorry this was overlooked, i'm glad you mentioned it again b/c that's how i caught it! the goal behind the library task is to go somewhere for yourself that maybe you don't normally indulge in, and at the same time pick up something to enjoy and/or busy yourself that is not eating-related....so as much as i love puzzles i'm don't think it's a even substitute. however, you may see that fabulous suggestion in the future :teeth: now as far as going to the bookstore as you don't have a library available, that is fine b/c the same goals will be met.

if anyone else has questions could you please re-post on this weeks thread :flower3:

now for me, i'm thrilled that i'm down the 2 lbs i regained - so whgrn i feel your pain. it's still frustrating to think that with all the effort and work i have put out this past month i'm still right where i started. i have learned more as i too visisted the nutrionist and i think faithfully logging into sparkpeople is going to be key for me.

whgrn -- do you normally fluctuate? i can fluctuate within 4 lbs. when you think that is take 3500 calories burned/not eaten to lose one pound, wouldn't it be true that it takes the same to gain. that means you would have had to eaten 8750 extra calories last week to have a true weight gain of 2.5 lbs. i know it's frustrating, i do honestly, but i find i just have to pout, scream and kick and then pick myself up and stay the course of the plan. i don't know that i'd readjust the caloric intake calculated by a professional without talking it out with her/him first. maybe your body is just readjusting to your healthy lifestyle and hasn't figured it out yet? i have been there

CYBER HIGH FIVE to the losers this week!!! :grouphug: to those still facing the yo-yo-dom.....we will conquer!! onward and downward!!!!

Hi Everyone.

I'm up .4 lbs this week. Oh well. Today's a new day and I will get rid of that .4 and more this week.

Good Luck everyone.

Sabrina

Good Morning everyone....

I am so excited because I am down 3.7 pounds this week...

The really cool part is that this week's loss pushed me over the 30#'s lost mark since I started my program back in October......

I'll PM my weight to Brenda shortly...

Have a great day everyone...
Goof

Good Morning everyone!

I haven't been very active on the thread. I just realized I haven't posted here in a while.

Congrats and good luck to all. I know how hard it can be. I lost a lot in the beginning and then tapered off. But this week I lost 11 lbs. so now I am down 25 since starting. I am so excited. Sunday will be hard- it's my birthday and Super Bowl. GO PATS! (Big Tom Brady fan- he went to U of M)

Have a great day!

Annette :)

Good job Vija & Annette those numbers are amazing.

I am down 1.5 from last week but not from the week before so I don't know how this works. But I will take it since I haven't exercised since last Wednesday because of my knee and now this cold. I am going to try tonight. I was asleep by 8 last night so hopefully I am done with this.

Good luck every one and hang in there......

Good morning everyone!! Congratulations to all the "losers" and for any who maintained or gained - Don't give up!!! You all can do it. And the body can do some really funky things - even when you are doing everything right it can not do what you expect. My DH lost 1 pound this week. He has worked out and eaten right, etc and I lost more than him - that never happens so I know it's just his body doing something funky. I am down 3 pounds this week and am very happy with that. Good Luck to everyone this upcoming week.
Amanda

Well, I managed to just maintain this week. No down, but no up either so I'll take it. I'm not surprised though as last week's 5#s was totally unexpected. Plus, it seems that its TOM so I'm sure that has its part. The good news though, is that I am down 4 inches in the last two weeks! How nice to see a whole inch off of my hips and .5-.75 from waist, bust, etc.

Vija - from your question on the last thread. I tend to eat similar things from breakfast and lunch so I don't usually pre-plan those. I will enter my dinner early at times, though, it see if I have room for any "extras". I also pre-plan if we're going out. A couple of weeks ago, we went to a pizza buffet with my sister and her kids. I entered the types of slices I like and calculated how many pieces I could have and what my best choices were.

Way to go to all of the losers!

For those of us up or staying the same...it's a new day and a new week. Just keep swimming and you'll make it in the end!

whgrn- Don't give up! It sounds like at least some water retention to me. Just keep plugging along and I'll bet it comes off next week. TOM isn't the only reason that our bodies do that. If you're really concerned that your intake is too high, I'd give the nutrionist a call and discuss it with her. Maybe she missed something or has some words of wisdom for you. :grouphug:

WOW - congradulations to all you losers!! Those are some really great numbers going into our 4th week! You guys are very motivating to all of us!

I am happy to say I am down 2 pounds this week :cheer2: 12 total so far - 63more to go! Keep up the good work everybody and keep on going!

I am down 6.4 pounds this week! My blood sugar levels are down, too, which is great news! I am super excited by the success - going to do my best to see it continues!

Congrats to all the losers this week!

Susan
