Good morning! I'm down .2, not really much but not bad considering I started late in the week! I'm hoping to see some big numbers next week.

acourtwdw and acourtwdw2, what plan are you following? You are doing so well! Is it hard to follow or stick with?

Both of us are following sparkpeople.com. You have 2 eating options with it
1. Follow their food plan
2. Stay within the guidelines they set on calories, fat, carbs and protein. This is the option we are doing because annette is a picky eater she only likes chicken and salmon.
Its like the biggest loser website but free.

Amanda

Way to go everyone!! Lots of great losses! And to those who gained, we've all been there and will be there again. Next week will be great for you!!

I am down 2 this week. I'm also really proud of myself because I've actually done my last 2 strength training days! I always seem to "forget" to do them. Of course, yesterday I tried a little too hard and now I'm a little sore (went for 20 instead of 12-15 each time), but this too shall pass. I'll just remember to keep on the suggested plan and let my body work up to it.

Keep it up everyone! You're looking great.

Dona - Many congrats to your son! That is so wonderful and an amazing relief to you all, I'm sure.

A&A (sorry, can't remember the names now) - Have a great time at Oprah and shopping the city. Sounds like a nice break!

I was hoping to recover by weigh in day - I was down three then up 2 then up another one 1 and down 1.... so the final.... down 1 this week! Total of 6 so far since we started. I am eating right and exercising - just a bad time of the month for me. Still just plugging along! I have figured out in the 2 weeks since we have started I have walked 15 miles on the treadmill! That is pretty great for me!

Congradulations to everyone for logging in and sticking with it- I really enjoy this group and encouragement! It's like everything you ever wanted to say during a weight watchers meeting but don't! :flower3:

Good Morning, everyone!

Well I am up 1 pound this week. I was really hoping for a loss :headache:

Congrats to everyone who loss and Dona on your son's scholarship!

For those of us who gained lets step it up and show a loss next week!

Have a great day!

Michele

Sad to report another gain this week. Another pound -- I'm up two pounds from the start. Possibly muscle or retaining water. Possibly the pizza that I ate before weighing in (my parents and brother planned dinner, and it was the only option. It tasted good, too!).

Anybody else in a similar boat?

Congratulations to all the losers -- I hope to be joining you next week!

Ashley

I am sorry but I reported a 3 pound loss but it was 2. I am stillhappy with a 2.

Ds has worked hard and is #12 in class. He got the scholarship on his SAT scores and his class rank. I am very proud of him because he has worked hard and has done it with only taking 2 honors courses . Usually they are in math and science which is his strong point. But he has kept his other classes in the 94 - 97 point range. His gpa so far is 96.6

Congrats to all the losers. :grouphug: for the samers and the gainer. You can do this.

Good morning everyone! I am so happy to report that I am down 2.5#!!!!!:cool1: I am now on my own "Disney Diet!" That has been so motivating for me! Just knowing that I will be at WDW again this year has me so energized. AND (please... no laughing..., OK, maybe a little ;) ) What is really motivating me is 2 words.... Astro Orbitor!:lmao: Why may you ask? Because since we first went as a family in 2001 I have been afraid to go on it because I heard it is a tight squeeze and never wanted to be embarassed if I didn't fit. So this year my goal is to get into Astro Orbitor!

I have been doing really good with no snacking, no fast food except for subway and no chips. As much as I am wanting them, I do realize that in order for me to loose weight, I need to stay away!!!

I've been on this diet for two weeks now and all I have lost is 14 days.
Totie Fields a comedian from the 60's

Hopefully you don't feel that way as today is weigh in day.

That is a great quote Dona! These past 2 weeks I have lost a total of 3#. BUT I have GAINED some self confidence! I was able to get into the push up position (on my knuckles - because I am preparing for TaeKwonDo classes) for at least 5 seconds. That may not seem like a lot to you, but when I first tried it, I couldn't get up at all! I also am learning to pay attention to my body (and as Oprah said.... ebrace hunger). Before I never let myself get even a little hungry, I was always "stuffed" or felt full. If I felt a twinge of hunger off to the fridge I went to eat and eat and eat. NOW I am paying attention to my body and realizing it is ok to not feel stuffed all the time. I am finally logging into sparkpeople daily and I love trying to keep my calories in the right range. Almost like a game. So I have really made some changes and look forward to the next 2 weeks!

dona, way to go on losing 2# and congrats on the scholorship, that is awesome!

Geekerbell! Welcome back!!!!:yay: Hope you had fun on your trip. And I am so excited that you lost 4#! You will loose all that you gained, and then you will rock it some more and keep losing! I know you can do it!

ohMom, Hang in there! I just recently found it and it is awesome! I know that you will loose those pesky 5# before this challenge is up!

VernRDH, Glad to hear the cruise was wonderful. Don't worry about the 5#, they will come off very soon!

SeaSpray, Way to go on the 1.5# loss! That is terrific! You are right, it is a loss and celebrate your success!

WDWLVR, Hey, congrats onthe 1/2 pound loss! It is great and you are heading onward and downward! Way to go!; .

MercoBear, temptation is so tough sometimes. Wouldn't it be nice to have a Jilian right here with us? Hang in there and I know you'll be a big loser next week!

acourtwdw2, WOOOOHOOOO!!!!! 5# is awesome! Way to go! Have fun in Chicago! I would love to hear about Oprah! We went way back in 1995 or 1996 (I can't remember the year) and back then we could wear jeans, is it true you can't wear jeans to her show anymore? Just curious! have fun!

rkandmjsmommy, Way to go on the 1.4# loss! That is awesome! I know you said that you don't think it is much, but think about it this way, it is way more than some of the ladies lost on the Biggest Loser show last week! You are doing a great job!

sherreis, way to go on the 1# loss! That is awesome! I have learned the same thing as you, restaurants are just not nice when you are trying to loose weight!

cobbler, hang in there! You will be losing very soon, all that muscle you are building is going to boost your metabolism and that is worth it! Look at some of your other results, not being winded as much is terrific. Can't wait to report that myself soon!

mikamah, Way to go on the 1.6# loss! Slow and steady will win the race!:thumbsup2

tinkamom, .2 is still a loss and like you said you started late in the week! I'll bet you will be a big loser next week!

JOANNEL, Wow, way to go! another 2.5! regarding the boys coming home... YES you have the power! Just remember your 6.5# loss so far and stay focused, you can do it!

simpilotswife, WOWZER! 5#.... ALLRIGHT! That is absolutely fantastic!

goofyfan, way to go on the 1 1/2 pounds! I am with you on not caving on the eating out. Our challenge to avoid fast food is done on Friday, and I don't want to cave either! We can do it!:thumbsup2

EDITED.... I posted a need for a buddy, and thanks to lisaviolet for stepping up and adding to her buddy list! announcing a new buddy pair...
tinkamom .......lisaviolet

I am a loser too this week. Down by 1/2 a pound - not as much as last week. But, oh, if weigh-in had only been a day or two ago...I would have lost a whole pound! I'm in awe of those of you who have lost 5.
And to everyone who didn't lose or who gained...DON'T GIVE UP. If you give up, you probably won't lose that weight anyway, right? So stick to it, exercise, drink plenty of water, GET ENOUGH SLEEP, eat sensibly.
YOU CAN DO IT, you WILL succeed :thumbsup2 .

agnes!

I'm in search of my body...just NOT the one I ate!

I'm down 2 pounds this week. I'm thrilled.

I didn't get to the gym yesterday, I wasn't feel well, bad enough for me not to bother. Okay, having to be about 4 feet from the bathroom all day was really what got me to stay home, I'd have probably gone anyway. :sad1:

I feel much better today, must have been something I ate, so I'm heading back in this morning in about 10 minutes.

Cyber High 5 to my buddy for posting a loss! You're doing awesome. You logged in more miles than me this past week, you're doing great! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm off to walk on the track now and then get a nice warm uninterrupted shower at the gym. My husband laughs that I'd rather take a shower at the gym, no kidding, at the gym no one is sticking their head in the shower saying "mom, I need..." or "honey, where is..." Actual privacy, now there's a concept. :lmao:

So I'm off to the gym and when I get home I have to book our vacation for June, we're going to surprise DD for her 4th birthday! :dance3: I can't wait!

Hi everyone,

I'm down another 3.4. I'm thrilled. Kudos to everyone.

I'm epecially inspired by those of you who posted a gain. Because that's my thing. I don't handle maintaining or gaining well. And it is a part of a normal weight loss journey. And often I just want to quit. I have to talk and talk to myself like a mad woman. And be rational. So really good for you guys and good luck next week.

Dona:

Fantastic news about your son. That's lovely.

Lisa

Chris I know how you feel about booking a trip.. Last week we booked our summer trip and yesterday I bought the airline tickets (Now I just have to pay for them). I felt like dancing last week when I got a ASMu suite for the family. This is the most room we have had on a family vacation.

Hi Everybody -

Congrats on all of the victories :cool1:

I'm down 2.2 this week (for a total of 5). Once again, this was through diet only, I haven't had a chance to exercise. Now that I'm getting settled in to this "work from home" environment, I will start to focus on adding in some activity into the plan.

Well after kind of an "off" week I'm up 1 pound this week. I'm not really surprised considering I really feel like I didn't do my best. That and it's that t.o.m. so I'm actually surprised that it's not worse than it already is. But today is a new day and I'm back on target already.

Have a great day everyone and I hope everyone yet to weigh in finds success at the scales!

Awesome week LOSERS!!! I'm so inspired by everyone's dedication!

I am down .5 this week....not a LOT, but a LOSS. I'm good with that. :thumbsup2

Do we need to email/pm our weights as well??

I am up a pound this week. I think it is because I had problems with my alarm clock last week (all fixed now) and I missed exercising for three days in a row because of it. Plus I ate something I thought was safe that wasn't this weekend (gluten-related) and that made me sick for three days, so I didn't get the water or exercise in that I should have those days. Here's hoping for a better week this week!

Congrats to all the losers!

Good Morning Everyone! Congratulations to everyone for still being here, still trying, and still caring about being healthy!!
I'm down .2, ie. stayed the same. But I feel proud of myself for being on program, eating right, drinking my wather, and going to the gym. Thanks for the inspirations everyone.

Go buddy! That's great. A loss is a loss. I stayed the same this week, but that is good because I really didn't buckle down until the weekend and I was at Disney World the beginning of last week. So, here's to another successful week!

Once you get a full week under your belt you will do great!
Thanks for the encouraging words Bud!

Down 4.1lbs HOOWOO!

Started a complete clean induction yesterday morning with DBF, so I'm sure next weeks loss will be close to the same.

I go to the Y tomorrow morning to set up my appointment with my personal trainer, and also get my grand tour...it's funny, I learned how to swim at this YMCA when I was 4 years old LOL... we use to live in that city, and now I'm about 20 minutes away, but it's the only Y around with such a wide range of activitites, much more than a health club or gym... plus I'm going to be teaching Guard classes for them, so my membership is only $50.00 every 6 months, and includes my girls too :)

Congrats to your son Dona

Happy thoughts for everyone this week, especially those with a plateau or gain! You can do it.

I'm sorta bummed by the challenge this week, the snacking one. I dont have a limit on how much I can eat with my plan, if I'm hungry, I eat......thats a benefit of Atkins...can't count those points because I never mindlessly snack....I snack when I'm hungry LOL
