Good morning everyone. I see someone has posted on the other thread. HOpefully they will find their way over to this one.

Let's start out with an appropriate quote for this morning.

I've been on this diet for two weeks now and all I have lost is 14 days.

Hopefully you don't feel that way as today is weigh in day.

I lost another 2 pounds

Since we started two weeks ago I have lost 3.5 pounds.

I could have lost nothing today because we are all very happy in my house today. Ds2 was informed yesterday that he has a scholarship to college. They will be giving him full tuition. We will be paying for fees and room and board. If he maintains a B average he could have all 4 years. It came out to be a lot of money over 4 years. He knew it was coming but he was still in shock when he saw the total amount.

Have to go and get the day going. Kids here for extra help

Hope it is a losing day for everyone.
 
Congratulations to you and your son, Dona. It must feel wonderful to not have to think about tuition for 4 years. :)

I weighed in this morning and I stayed the same as last week. I had some very bad food choices yesterday. So it's just like Julian said on last week's BL - The night before a weighin is not the time to give into temptation. But I know that I'll try harder next week.

Good morning everyone! I'm only down 1/2 pound from last week, but a loss is still a loss.

Dona - congrats on your sons scholarship!
 
Well, I'm making my way back back over here. I seem to just not have been able to get things together since the holidays and our trip.
However, I was able to stay on plan the whole day yesterday and feel really good about it this morning, so hopefully I'm on my "weigh":lmao:

Seriously though, I still haven't caught up on reading the last two threads, so I'm just jumping in to this one and hopefully I can keep up this week. I just hate posting when I haven't read everything that everyone else has already posted.

As for my weigh-in, I had gained a horribly large amount (almost ten pounds) from New Years Eve to getting back from my trip last week. 4 of that is now gone. So it is bittersweet. On the one hand, I'm glad that 4 is gone. On the other, I am sad that it is gone from the higher weight and not what I was two weeks ago.;)

And Dona - That is awesome about your son's scholarship! What type of scholarship and what University (if I may be so nosey.)

i'm disappointed that i have fluctuated back UP one pound this week. I started logging back into sparkpeople yesterday in hopes of being consistent enough to see consistent losses. i'm so tired of gaining and losing the same 5 lbs!

Good Morning everyone,

I can say it was a good week for me. I really need to excercise more consistently but I lost 5 Pounds this week. I am so happy!!! Annette and i will be doing alot of walking the today and tomorrow shopping in Chicago. We decided to take the train, so glad we did. We got snow last night and it would have been a bad drive. Congratulations for everyones dedication to getting healthy and staying op.

:sad2: Unfortunately I am up 5 lbs:scared1: We just got back yesterday from our cruise (which was wonderful BTW) and am retaining water and probably over indulged a bit(how many calories are in a 32 oz daiquiri anyway:laughing: ) But I ran this morning which felt good and am back on plan today. Now that the holidays and our trip are behind me (and a little in my behind as well:lmao: ) I am buckling down and getting this done.

I have not caught up with the threads, what with being gone for only 4 days and missing a lot on a bunch of threads. But I will try to catch up over the next few days.
 
congrats on losses, you can do it this week on gains or stay the sames, congrats on scholarships

I am HAPPY to announce a 1.4 loss, not much but moving in the right direction:)
 
Good morning everyone!

I lost 1 lb this week. Was hoping for more but it's in the right direction. I truly think that eating restaurants over the weekend did me in. I learned an important lesson.
 
Good morning everyone! I have gained again for the second week. I am up 0.2 of a lb. I really think it is due for a couple of reasons:
1 - It's that time of the month
2 - I have been lifting weights again and I usually build muscle faster than dropping the fat at first so it will come off
3 - The muscles are sore so that means there is a build up of the lactic acid and water going on.
4 - I have been climbing stairs like crazy at school. On Monday and Wednesdays I climb 59 stairs to the 3rd floor for class with 15lbs of books. I am going to count what I do on Tuesdays and Thursday's today. I have noticed though that I am getting less winded by the time I am at the top of the stairs so that is good.

Overall I am up .8 lbs over the 2 weeks and it sucks but it happens.

I have been doing really good with breakfasts though, eating everyday and getting my water in so I am happy with that.

I am down 1.6 this week. I'm hoping to keep a slow and downward pace this time around, and keep it off for good!!

This is a lifestyle change, and we all will have our ups, downs, stay the sames. So long as we don't give up we are making healthier choices for our bodies. Good luck!!

VernRDH-:hug: hugs on your gain, but I'm a little jealous of your cruise!! I would love a 32 oz margarita!! Could you walk afterwards? Sounds like you are right on track, and that will come right back off. Good luck!!

Good morning! I'm down .2, not really much but not bad considering I started late in the week! I'm hoping to see some big numbers next week.

acourtwdw and acourtwdw2, what plan are you following? You are doing so well! Is it hard to follow or stick with?

I am down 2.5. So that's 6.5 so far. I will take it. Slowly but surley. The boys are coming home this week end with friends so I will be cooking, hopefully having will power not to eat......

Amaanda & Annetee have fun at Oprah- I taped her show yesterday it was a good inspirational weight lose show.

Congrats on the scholarship, my kids have 75% tuition paid scholarships, but it's the room & board, books and just living expenses that will kill ya. But everything helps.
 
Congrats Dona you guys must be very happy. I'm hoping that DS gets something when he starts looking around next year.

I had a good week. I lost 5 which is good.

Go buddy! That's great. A loss is a loss. I stayed the same this week, but that is good because I really didn't buckle down until the weekend and I was at Disney World the beginning of last week. So, here's to another successful week!
 
Hi Everyone....

Dona - Congrats to you and your son on the scholarship... As someone who is still working to pay off the last of my student loans, that scholarship is HUGE!!!! Having a debt free education is truly a gift.

To everyone else - Congrats on the successes of the week. Even if they weren't pounds lost on the scale, the realization of what you did and knowing how to fix it for next week is still a success on the weight loss path.

As for me - I lost 1-1/2 pounds and am just thrilled... After weeks of flirting with the same pound, I am thrilled that I am losing again... My goals for this week are to stay on my plan and not cave to eating out because it is easy and to work out four days this week.
