Can someone please tell unskilled Lisa how to do many quotes in one post, not ten!??!

And like Denzel Washington said, "Speak to me like a four year old" or whatever he said. :lmao: ;)

Do you just copy and paste each time? :confused3

Thanks in advance.

Ok, Lisa, you are cracking me up. :lmao:
at the bottom of the post next to the "quote" button is one that has a "+" sign on it. Every post you want to quote, hit that and then hit the "post" button at the bottom when you are ready. They will all show up. Does that make sense? I think I may even be confusing myself.

Way to go to all the losers and maintainers! To the gainers - keep on it! I know how it feels. Next week will be your week!:thumbsup2

As for my thoughts on Nicole's statement about eating "crap"...
I personally agree with pretty much everything Lisa said.:thumbsup2
I know I can't go the rest of my life eating only healthy food and no treats. I have to allow myself, or I will "fall off the wagon" and go overboard on eating whatever it was that I was trying to avoid.
Now, since I know I am an emotional eater, I do try to avoid having those items when I am eating out of frustration, sadness, stress, whatever. Because, as we've seen in the past couple of months, when that happens, I just can't seem to hold it at a reasonable amount and I will go overboard, sabatoging all previous efforts.
So yes, I continue to eat crap, but will just try to follow it up with healthy stuff and make sure it all falls within calorie target range. :)

Me too. Me too. Although I have done it during this challenge and thought oh well. :lmao: Chocolate for mad as heck. Whatever. Okay. Life goes on and on and on...:rotfl:

Oh thank goodness. Right there before my eyes. I won't even tell you what I was doing before. :lmao: :rotfl: Too funny. It was hurting my head trying to figure it out.

Heck after all the years I have been here i didn't even know that. I always just did it manually. Guess it is true that you learn something new everyday.

re: multiple quotes - I just figured it out completely by accident one day. I'm really not the brain I pretend to be.:rotfl: ;)

I am up 1.5 -- I'm thinking it's muscle and retention since I've been doing some tougher workouts. If I continue to do tough workouts will I eventually start to see a difference? It is hard for me to workout at a low heart rate -- I really like to sweat and feel the burn!!!

On the upside, I worked out and weighed myself last night and I was up 3. Went back this morning (school got cancelled!) and was only up 1.5. Whew! What a relief!!!

Way to go, losers and maintainers. Gainers, we'll get 'em next time, right?!

Keep smiling! Happy Tuesday!
Ashley

Busy, busy now - but Vija - just wanted to let you know that I just got your two emails today.

What is up with that!

Will try to post more later.

Way out of control right now and missed last two WW weigh ins.

Am going this week, no matter what!

Linda

KEWL!! I always wanted to know how to do that, but was afraid to ask. rofl

I'm so excited. I'm down again. And I passed below 210. Now to just get below that for my WW weigh in too. (For BL weigh in I do it in my birthday suit first thing Tuesday morning, but WW is in the evening Thursday, and for some reason they don't want me to do it in my birthday suit. :rotfl: )

Well SOMETHING is going on, because I am down 4.2 this week. that's like 14 pounds in 3 weeks--what's up with THAT? Don't get me wrong--I'm THRILLED! But why am I losing so fast all of a sudden? I'm not being crazy exercising, I'm getting in my calories, so what's different? Is my body finally starting to let go of all the fat all at one time? hey, whatever. works for me!

Best of all is that I'm UNDER 250 for the first time in years!!

Okay,

I should probably just shut up because Nicole is at goal and I'm not. But heck I will be just not as quckly.

Question [and this is not directed at you at all Mercobear (heck I don't even know your viewpoint anyway ;) )- it's for everyone - all of us]: Are you never going to eat crap in your life again? And what is crap? I read someone on the WISH talking about their "bad" food/treat that they might cut out was a banana and peanut butter. What? :confused3

As for crap. I for one am never going to cut out relative's baking, cookies, chocolate, ice cream, gyros:lmao: (oh I could go on) for the rest of my life. So my feeling is they have to be in your eating right now. So therefore they are not put back in and cause an unexpected weight gain because it's not easy at that point to fit them in or deal with them in moderation.

I eat relatively healthy. So I'm certainly not eating crap all the time. But it's there because I know it will always be there. It's just there in smaller ways.

I'm not preaching. (Oh maybe I am:rotfl: ;) ) And I don't want to sound like that. I really don't guys. I just think that Nicole, and other eat only "good" stuff weight loss winners, is facing a very different life than some of us here, not all of us of course, want for our lives. The rest of our lives.

EDIT: If you only want to eat healthy for the rest of your life. Well, that's fantastic. I'm certainly not putting that down. I'm just questioning whether that's what one wants for life.

I obviously didn't make this up myself. Many non-weight issue people eat whatever they want. And all are not without genetic predispostion or other stay slim barriers. And WW points is this exact mindset as well.

Okay, I'm shutting up now. :rotfl: :lmao: ;) Same old Lisa.

NEVER eat any goodies again? Yeah, right, on what planet? The day I vow to never eat chocolate, or bread and butter, or ice cream, or whatever, again, is the day I DIE! Ok, it's true, right now none of that is part of my reality, but that is becuase of my need to eliminate ALL dairy, egg, and wheat on a TEMPORARY basis. But once they say I can start having those things again in controlled amounts, I WILL have them. And that means I WILL eat chocolate again (ok, not by the pound, but I just KNOW that there's a little Hersheys Kiss out there with my name on it! And I just KNOW that a small serving of DQ vanilla soft serve will be calling my name one night in Cape May. And, do you REALLY think I'm going to spend 2 weeks in Scotland and NEVER eat any Scottish shortbread? Yeah, like that would ever happen!

No, my friends, I think we have to be realistic here. "Cheat foods", "bad foods", "trigger foods", whatever we want to call them, WILL eventually pass our lips. And the best way we can handle that is to PLAN for them. I remember when i'd given up chocolate for a long time. The first time I had it after that, I ate one Hershey kiss, letting it melt on my tongue slowly, and it was, I kid you not, better than sex! Talk about heavenly! And that day WILL come again, when the doctor says it's ok. There is only one food that is forbidden forever in my world, and that is crabmeat, and that is becuase if I eat one tiny little bite of it, I am dead. Yup, CPR, full blown anaphylaxis DEAD. And THAT, in my honest opinion, is the ONLY reason anyone should have a forbidden food. Trouble foods? Foods that we have to be careful with? Sure, that's human. But telling me "you can NEVER have xyz food" just makes me want it even more. And, if you get me really mad, i will eat it just for spite! (which, when you think about it is really really stupid, but I was SOOOOOO good about that at one point in my life...)

OK, now I'm gettng off MY soapbox! I wish I could say I was going to eat some chocolate now, but, well, maybe another month or so...

Ummm. I think I love you. :lmao: ;)

Me too. Me too. I'm very stubborn about it. I think that's how I get sick. I know my body needs a slower workout and I simply ignore and do intervals and my body says, "Hey! I'm in charge here!".

As much as I hate it I'm learning to take days off or slower days in between.

I am down 3 this week.. I am very excited Thanks to everyone

That's great. Well done. Congratulations to the other earlier BL buddy who posted high as well. That's really something at this point in our weight loss.

Well SOMETHING is going on, because I am down 4.2 this week.

Well Wendy that kind of smells like a possible #1. :lmao: :rotfl: I guess it's time to look at our issues bang on, eh?

But then again those 3 pound ladies could be tiny little ones. So who knows.

Geekerbell, you've created a monster. I'm multiple post happy.

As for crap.

Sorry, I just wanted to have that as my start...

Lisa, I really do agree with you. I know that I can't cut bad foods out of my life. That night after we got home I went for my stash of PB eggs that I have left over from easter. DH looks at me all seriously and says - Is it worth it? Well, YES! I think that one of them is!

Lisa, you are everywhere! Don't you have anything better to do than read and post on the DIS boards!!??:lmao: :rotfl:

 Laura

It's good to be loved -- it's also good to know that I have something in common with someone!!

Has anyone here ever kept track of their measurements over time? I took my first set of measurements today. They are smaller than the measurements that I had taken a month and a half ago at a bridesmaid dress fitting (and I didn't pull the tape too tight, because I read that you aren't supposed to do that). How often should I take new measurements? I know how to measure bust, etc., but when you measure your thighs, where do you measure? do you measure individual thighs, or do I make sure they're touching (not hard to do) and measure them that way? Anybody have any funny visuals in mind?? I feel like a total dork as I write this!

Anyway, I've been DISing all day -- it's been a long time since I've had this sort of luxury. I feel a little like Big Brother, though, just watching to see if anything is happening.

Keep posting, people, I'm getting bored!

I love the measurements! They are so boosting on maintain weeks. I take mine every couple of weeks, though others I know of do it once a month. I measure more than most probably - neck, chest, bust, hips, waist, arms, thighs, calves. For the thighs I just do the "largest" spot on one and double the measurement (too lazy to do each separately). Over your first few tries kind of zero in on a "spot" for each measurement and try to duplicate that location each time. It's really nice to go back and see how many inches overall I've lost. And when I'm seeing more maintains, the measurements often show a whole other area of progress.

Not today Laura. No call for work. I'm a supply teacher. A little bit down and to tell you the truth it's really helped to be on half the day...

or more....:rotfl: :lmao:

I should measure more. What a coincidence guys. Last night, I pulled it out and measured my waist. And at some point, I'm not sure in the last two years?, I've lost five inches off my waist. I was like, "what!".

So I should definitely measure more.

Okay, back to American Idol. Technology all around today.
