Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

To me they are all trying to get to the end one way or another. And now that they see the end they want it more.

Why they were shocked that Mike said he was going to win is beyond me, if they asked Tara she would have said the same thing. Ron he would not but we knew from the beginning he was there to get his son as far as possible. No surprise that he got Mike to vote out Kristen, so why is everyone so mad at Ron. It was so predictable. :confused3 After all it is still a game with lots of competition.

Only you can keep your self above the yellow line. I agree with the poster that said Kristen didn't eat enough that is why she gained. But why is Bob looking at what they eat so late in the game....:confused3

Master Ron is at it...but let's remember how the prior seasons' "godfathers" fared. Season 1 Kevin and Season ? Erik are just as big as when they started. When they see it as too much of a "game" they pile it back on as soon as the finale is over and the $$$ has been distributed.

I would hold a contest with the same amount of prize money 1 year later...I'd be curious to see who would win that!

I agree!! I never watched until the season Ali won, but I am suprised that the previous winners seem to have gained most of it back...

I especially fear for the ladies who came on the show to lose weight to be able to start a family (Heba last season and Kristin this season) I, myself, gained over 60 pounds when I was pregnant (and I was thin prior). It took A LOT of will power and discipline to lose that weight and get back to pre-pregnancy size. I hope those ladies don't gain a lot and keep it after all their hard work...

And I was thinking she probably gained weight BECAUSE she only at 1000 calories. I think her metabolism went into starvation mode because she was eating so little but exercsing so much.
That's what I meant. Sorry of it didn't come out that way. I thought that Kristen gained weight because she wasn't eating enough to keep her metabolism up.

I think it was a commercial for the protein drink and complete baloney all the way!!!
Bob's "frustration" was staged as well as the contestants meals.:headache:

Oh okay...that makes sense. I was thinking "how could these people have been here 16 weeks and not KNOW any of this?!?!?!"

I was telling DS14 about the pop challenge and asked which "fat" he thought was healthiest and he chose olive oil - and he knows very little about food/nutrition. Still can't believe Ron chose trans-fat-free margarine (which is not really trans fat free!).

I have been wondering about Kristin and her lack of weight loss. I don't remember the woman's name, but a couple of seasons ago, she was on the show, she had had a bariatric procedure and then they discovered she had a thyroid problem. They haven't said anything like that this season, but it is something that sticks in my mind. Just wild speculation on my part.

:cheer2:Loved Jillian's speech to Tara!! Everything I said last week! ;), Thanks Jill! Let's see, it wasn't SAFE for Laura to stay and stop being so SELFISH Tara!!! Hmm, I wonder if Jillian bought into Ron's BS too?:lmao: Jillian even told Mike to vote for Laura:thumbsup2

I also knew something wasn't right about Ron's wife, that she probably had been overweight too. I wish Helen had been voted off, I felt bad for Kristen. I liked her. After she left the show she followed through with trying to help other overweight people, just not something I see Tara doing. I hope I'm wrong about that though, cause if Tara wins, she could help inspire a lot of people.

Kristen annoyed me today so much! Hello, if you would have lost some weight you wouldn't be under the yellow line and you would still be in the game.

It was her own fault she is gone. Not Mike's, not Ron's (Although he is the biggest game player there!), not Helen's fault. She needs to own her failure.

She was horrid last night!!

But Don Ron was in all his glory last night. I wanted Mike to let him have it more than he did.

I agree with everything you said. Kristen's body was in starvation mode I am certain. I can't believe Bob didn't know what they were eating.

That's what I was wonderering. They've been there for 16 weeks and he's finding out now?? :confused3

I remember one of the previous seasons one of Jill's contestants wasn't losing as much as expected nd she went through his diet to find out he wasn't eating enough.

When he said, I can't watch them 24/7, I had to laugh a bit. Isn't that his job right now, to be at the ranch, at least during the day:confused3

I'm very curious to know how many hours/days a week the trainers are there with them?

I believe Kristin lives the Biggest Loser. It was and is her inspiration. I feel she really wasn't playing the game. I feel this way because she always referenced previous seasons and said how she wanted to change her life.
Did anyone else thing it was weird last week when Laura said her guest was her best friend? I don't believe Tara and Laura are really great friends. If they were such good friends Tara would have been okay with her leaving and would have never made the comments about Laura that she had previously made.

Oh okay...that makes sense. I was thinking "how could these people have been here 16 weeks and not KNOW any of this?!?!?!"

The reason I say that it was all staged was #1, when they made the fish for dinner they split it between the 3 of them.

Now there is no way that they would actually do that. I call "baloney".

And they also use the computer for their "body bug", right?

(3) Did anyone else think that Bob's "video lesson" was to eat more (nice advice, Bob ... why don't you take it?) and then Kristen gained weight? OMG! She was eating NOTHING that day. I wonder if she spent the whole week eating less than 1000 calories a day. No wonder she gained weight!

His lesson WAS to eat more. I've lost 40lbs following exactly what the Biggest Loser books say (the original along with several cookbooks), and the idea is that if you don't have the proper calorie intake for your size, your body will react negetively. I started the program having to eat a whopping 1640 calories a day. Each week you weigh yourself and reduce your calories accordingly. I'm now down to 1240 calories a day. In their videos, they weren't eating anywhere near enough calories or protien. For anyone who's read the books, it COMPLETELY makes sense why they weren't losing as much as Jillian's team.eventually they'll be able to go on 1000-1100 calories a day, but they simply aren't small enough yet.

I noticed that too/. I thought Tara was her best friend. And Laura and Tara live in different parts of the country. My guess is that when the ywere both modles they were friends, but I bet they were never best friends.
