Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

Kristen is full of it. her 2 pound weight gain is nonsense. She won immunity and "water loaded" before the weigh in to save herself NEXT week. Typical immunity holder tactic and a low blow as far as I am concerned. She couldn't even pull off being sad/mortified on the scale, which made her "If it wasn't for immunity I would be under the yellow line!" speech a tirade of nonsense and crocodile tears.

Good point..I didn't even think of that. But now that you brought that up...didn't Tara get a few immunities and her weight lose during those times were only like a pound or two and now all of a sudden she is putting up double digits??? I could be completely wrong though. :confused3

Ok, I had to be out last night and couldn't watch the show. What the heck happened? I though we still had teams; how did just one person get voted off? Please somebody, fill me in. Thanks!

At the weigh in, only 1 team fell below the line. They had to send 1 member of that team home. Black team fell below, and Blaine went home. Purple team had immunity, and the daughter gained weight--mom didn't lose much either. The loss numbers were all fairly low.

Actually it was the purple team that had immunity. Green came in 2nd in the immunity challenge.

Purple team won immunity...not green.

The only time I found water loading to be out of line was the season that Blue Team guy did it to sabotage the Black Team guy he'd been "tripled" with for weigh ins. He gained like 17lbs that week. He didn't just drink water, he drank about 2 or 3 gallons of water in order to put his group below the yellow line, knowing that they'd vote out the guy from the Black Team.

That was rude. But it's ALL a game.

I don't see the problem w/ the water thing either, but as others have said. Don't try to look surprised and disappointed at the weigh in.

Oops--I did know this. But thank you for the friendly :confused3 corrections.

It was a friendly correction. It was for the person who asked what happened. :confused3 Not to put you down.

I think kristen did water load but didn't mean to GAIN, she probably just wanted to break even or lose jusr a pound or two to make it look good, but went overboard.

Only on her first weigh-in after her first immunity.

Start: 294
Week1: 273
Week 2: 272 (Immunity)
Week 3: 264 (Immunity)
Week 4: 252 (Biggest Loser)
Week 5: 240 (Biggest Loser)
Week 6: 229

Yep. Now if they made it a rule that if you gained you lost your immunity, people would not water load.

Or better yet, if they really wanted to get rid of water loading, they would have the contestants do their official weigh-in before the immunity challenge and then have the televised weigh-in after. That would at least keep the contestants honest.

Next week, BL will be on for one hour on Tuesday, 2/24 and Wednesday, 2/25

Tuesday, 2/24

"The teams are re-organized, leaving many contestants without their original trainer; each team tries to bike as many miles as they can in a 24 hour period."

Wednesday, 2/25

The contestants adjust to their newly formed teams and take a quiz about aging and health; after a grueling workout, another contestant is eliminated.
