Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

I must say I'm sick of lil miss perfect Tara always having such a negative attitude about her partner.......it's like she wants a pity party because she doesn't think her partner is working hard enough. I was glad Laura lost a pound more!!! She needs to quit obsessing about Laura and worry about herself.

:worship:

I think the camera people love to watch Tara throw up. I mean, come on

Just proves she's working hard. Didn't Jillian say (last season) that if you're not puking you're not working hard enough?:sad2:

Question: When Kristin weighed herself I thnk it said her starting weight was 301, but she gained 2 lbs last week which would have meant she had to be 299, which we know she wasn't in the 200s.
Did they use her lowest weight to start with instead of the 303 that I'm thinking she actually was last week?

I also think Tara needs to focus on herself and stop putting her partner down. She is doing very well and maybe she isn't as strong as Tara or fit, but she is working hard too. She worked harder than Tara this week.

I also thought it was funny tht they made Jillian look like it was hard for her to come up with routines without a gym, when a few seasons back her "surprise" black team worked out outside the whole time because everyone thought they were sent home. Also, earlier this season they were shown working out, outside.

Did anybody else notice Tara dropping an F bomb when she first reached the board with the keys? I actually rewound the DVR to listen again cuz I couldn't believe my ears!!!

YES! DH pointed it out and couldn't believe that passed the censors!

I was wondering why she was at 301 and not 303 too. Maybe there is something in the rules about gaining weight where you don't get credit for losing that again or something - makes sense because the numbers at the end wouldn't add up if they counted that 2 lb loss twice.

Last week Kristen went from 301 to 303. So I was also confused by the starting weight of 301 this week. Well until I plugged the numbers in. I think it's used a penalty of sorts. If they started her at 303 she would have lost 14 pounds this week instead of 12, and that would have made her teams % lost higher. I guess they're figuring she'd already lost the weight (2 lbs.) so they're not going to count it again.

That must be it - I was thoroughly confused by the 301 as well. Your explanation makes sense! :thumbsup2

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed the 301 thing (I watch too much Lost and 24 so i am always looking for conspiracies I guess! :rotfl2: )

Looking forward to next week's shake up! popcorn::

Is it me or was last night totally the "Tara and Ron" show? I like Tara, I like Ron, but it would be nice to see some more of everybody else. They've showed those pictures of Ron with his son as a small kid at least 15 times now.

That Blue team looks like they'd be alot of fun, I wish we could hear some more from them. Yellow so completely disappeared last night I totally forgot about them until the weigh in.

I don't think I've heard Dane say more than 20 words all season.

I definitely caught Tara's "bad word." I replayed it several times, and I'm sure I heard it correctly.

Did anyone else think that purple team's light changed from yellow to red VERY quickly. It seemed like the other teams had time to bring it back to green, but they didn't. I think that really ticked the daughter off, but she didn't come out and say it. The mom looked ill during the competition. What was with her 1 lb loss??? Wondering if she was trying to go home???

Brown dad seems sooo nice, but has such an odd shape to his chest. It's almost as though his extra weight expanded his rib cage, and it will never go down again. I don't know if that's even possible... Glad he lost the 7 lbs!!! Happy for his son, too. I really think the son is going to stick with this, even after the show.

My kids claim they didn't see the black team guy in the key challenge at all. I haven't had time to go back and look. Anyone know?

they didn't really show him until the very end. I don't think he ever went below green the whole time.

His chest is like that because it is extra skin from when he lost a lot of weight with his by pass surgery. It reminds me of women stomachs after they had multiple babies. The skin stretched but doesn't go back it hangs.

I was so happy for the brown team last night since they have been in the bottoms so many times. It was nice of Michael to go get his dad before he went back up the hill when they won the key challenge.

I don't think the pink team worked very hard in the gym , setting up that lounge so they don't have to walk back to the house....they need that extra walk to the house.

I didn't see Dane in the key challenge either....:confused3

Well that was an interesting show.:3dglasses

I think the camera people love to watch Tara throw up. I mean, come on.:scared:

I was certainly surprised at the weigh in. Brown pulled it out in the end. I was pretty proud of the dad.

The pink decision was weird. I did not expect their own team to keep the mom there. I really thought they were going to toss the mom. Oh well, the game play speech of Bob's was probably weighing in their minds and rightly so.

How about Bob and going off on his team for the Dane decision? I really do not care for Bob too much. Well normally I like him but he really seems burnt out lately on BL.

Jillian is always a crab and consistent but she seems more fair to me.:confused3 But what do I know from what they show us.

I have to say I was pretty pround of Jillian's team. I did not think that they were going to pull it off with all of the circa old style workout.

I missed the Bob blowout, but like I said in an earlier post....I've lost all respect for him the last few episodes.

I think the pink mom was being very selfish.

I loved the fact they showed somebody using the pool!!!

It wasn't as much of a blow out as it was a hissy fit. He was going on and on about don't ask me for advice if you aren't going to take it etc. I lost a little respect for him too after that :sad2:

Just re-watched the key challenge. Dane is in it...he's in the back of the pack as they start, then they showed him twice at the key board, then they showed him headed up the hill another time. He was pretty much walking, but definitely in it. They never showed him trying a key, though.

They seemed to be mostly focusing on Tara and Sione...and on how pretty much everybody tried to help out the Brown team dad.

They finally had Bob talking about having Ron in the pool!! And he lost 7 lbs!! That was great.

As for Shanon going home, she is a whiner and her mom is most likely glad to see her go home. Seriously, she was crying because she was scared to be there w/o her mom?? :confused3 What is there to be that scared about? I can see crying because she'd miss her mom and having to leave her new friends and the ranch but to freak because she's scared?

Tara is horrible!! But her partner did finally step it up.

Yellow team is driving me nuts with the whining

and Shanon was such a crybaby, but she looks so pretty now!! I never would have thought she was a roller derby chick.

that makes more sense for Bob, a hissy fit versus a blowout.
