Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

Hello? Help? Have I been under a rock? How in the h e double hockey sticks did I miss the fact that Daniel and David are from NC? AND, not only that, but they are both from down the road and Daniel just 2-3 miles? How did I miss this? I had David's picture up and DH was walking by and said, "hey, I think he works at Food Lion." I must need a vitamin because these sorts of facts don't get past me.

I am only half way through tonights episode but I have to say THANK GOODNESS Dan won that challenge. David really needed someone to show him how to eat differently. That poor kid--he has no role model and no earthly idea how to eat right. Have you seen what I assume is his dad? They go out to eat and the dad just chuckles at the bad choices he makes.

I'm really sad Dan got voted off and it seems like it is essentially Dave's fault. However, Dan looks amazing- 101 lbs lost so far? Heck yes! I think he will be able to get the home prize.

I was also supremely impressed with Joelle this week and am no longer so pissed that she wasn't voted off. She really got her butt in gear. She proved this week that she deserved to be kept.

Man, I am disappointed that Daniel got voted off...However, I would not have liked to watch his whiney-baby friend any more... Because of that I am glad that the brown team stayed.

Well, either way, I think the elimination tonight was a shame...I liked both teams. I would have liked it much better if the green or silver team were voted off. Just in case, anyone wanted my opinion...:)

Attention- This just in- David is an idiot.

For future contestants please note- if you fall below the yellow line and you want to go home tell the ppl voting "Meh, it can be done here or at home".

Grrrr. Out of the four on the chopping block Dan NEEDED this the most IMO.

What was with the girl from the green team (can't remember her name) wigging out on David!?! She did have a point, but he's not ready to give it his all-as you can see in the update. You can't force someone to want it.

I am not liking this season at all.

I wonder if they would every just go to the person who loses the least goes home with no voting. Then everyone could be on the same team, and all help each other.

I was bummed to see Dan go home - but soooo happy he's doing so well! He definitely 'got it' when he was at the ranch. I think he will be a shoe in for the at home prize! I just really hope David 'get's it' and does weel before the end! I guess they did make the right choice in keeping the brown team. Anxious to see how they end up doing.

Well I don't know about you, but I found this episode to be very enlightening! I learned that I can substitute my booooooring oatmeal with a deeelicious cup of Fiber One™ Cereal, and kick my craving for something sweet by chewing a flavorful piece of Extra™ Sugar-Free Gum. Both of which are conveniently available at my neighborhood Walmart™. :rotfl2:

Should we start taking bets on what next week's exciting product placements will be? :happytv:

I would LOVE to see this happen!!!

As for the green girl (Tara?)... I don't like a lot of what comes out of her potty mouth, but I think she really hit the nail on the head about the other orange guy (David?). He doesn't have a CLUE. And I thought his comments about feeling trapped were a little ODD... I know I shouldn't try to read into things, but I felt like maybe he had an addiction (in addition to food) and that it was too hard for him to be tied to the ranch.

I think the other players (aside from missing their families) specifically LIKE being on the ranch because they are isolated, can stay focused, and are away from all the other temptations.

Sooo... apparently one of the show's advertising reps must have approached Quaker Oats about a sponsorship and were turned down. That'll teach 'em!!!

The problem with this is it would have to go on percentages, since women almost always lose weight at a slower pace then men....or perhaps they could do the women and men separate with a prize for the winnning woman and man. Also I would like to see them not vote someone off until like the 3rd week, let everyone get into a routine that will carry on at home, 1 week is just not enough.
It would also be a good way to stop the voting off of people that are a threat or they are not liked because of their personality.
I know there have been women who have won but it is defineately slower for women to lose the weight at the pace the men do. JMHO

I thought this weigh in was so bizzaro.

I do understand Blue voting off Orange. David did send a message that he did not want to be there.

In addition you HAVE TO throw in the game play. While I do understand Blue's "excuse" you have to understand that Orange is a HUGE threat to the grand prize.

My guess is that BLUE has alot of "game play" in them. We will have to see.

I was so annoyed with David last night. How can he say you can do it at home when everytime they showed him he was cheating and eating badly. Plus if you look at where they are now, he hasn't lost much since being home. I think Dan is going to pass him soon and weigh less. I'm so happy Dan is doing well.

I also was happy for Joelle. She seems to have turned around and has her head in the game. She certainly is no Vicki or Heba.

I'm still not sure why Jillian's team asked Bob's team how they wanted to handle last week's elimination and then go the other way. They had to know they would want Joelle off, so they should have just been upfront and said that is how they were voting...now they've caused friction with the other team and I'm sure it will come back to bite them in the butt at some point.

I say next week's product placement will be for a sports bra. One woman will be on the treadmill and saying how can I keep my ****s from bouncing so much and then Bob will say well I'm glad you asked, then bring all the girls over to a table of Nike sports bras. LOL

I was cheering her on!! David's attitude was the main reason that Dan had to leave. I think that was the point she's trying to make-that not only was his attitude bad for him, but it was also hurting his friend. You're right-you can't force someone to want it, but you can put a mirror up in front of them and force them to look at what they're doing. Dave was lying to himself, and Tara called him on it.

I was really happy for Joelle, and her story is similar. Last week she got a reality check from Bob and the team and she really made the changes she needed to so she could get healthy.

I think that I would have preferred the Brown team to go home. But, they voted by teams and I knew that Orange was going home. ALL of Bob's teams voted for Orange and ALL of Jillian's teams voted for Brown. There are more of Bob's teams than Jillian's teams so that is not a big surprise that Orange went home.

There's just something about the Brown team that bugs me. I think it's because Ron had bypass surgery and he ate right through it back to being morbidly obese. I KNOW that he obviously needs a lot of mental help with food if he was desperate enough to have bypass surgery and still fail in such epic proportions. It still bugs me.

I didn't like Dan much in the first two weeks but when he fell below the line it was a wake up call for him! He worked hard and kicked butt the last two weeks. It's sad when a TWELVE POUND weight loss put him below the line. As for David ... he was the one who really needed to be there. He was eating crappy at home. He said he could do it at home, but we all know that he was bragging. He wasn't able to do it when he returned home either. From a "fairness" standpoint I would have liked to have seen David back at the ranch for a least one more week.
