Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

We did that too! I make virtually everything from scratch now-of course, it helps that I do not work outside the home. I can appreciate that it would be MUCH harder for a person who has to work all day and then prepare meals.

DH and I started with cutting out white bread-we eat whole grain breads and whole wheat bagels now. We used to eat potatoes, rice or pasta at every dinner-now we only eat our meat or fish and veggies.

This week, I started eating baby carrots with my lunch sandwiches instead of chips or pretzels. I have found that it was the "crunch" that I really needed, not the salt and it's been an eye-opener.

Well then sounds like you are ahead of me!

So what are you making for dinners? That is just my hardest thing right now.
We were making the "chicken breast" with veggies for 2 yrs and now we are soo bored to the point of not making dinner.

I have fallen into a bad bad bad pattern. I really need to plan menus and just make it. However nothing sounds good.:confused3

Nooo, they'd never stage a forgotten water bottle and happen to have Britta reusable bottles right there handy. Or highly recommend Cinnamon-Flavored Extra Sugar Free gum to help with those pesky cravings...on purpose! :sad2: OY.

Let me gaze into my Magic 8 Ball and see what may pop up in the future:

Bob, speaking to Orange team on treadmill: "Hey, did you guys forget to wear underwear!"

Team Orange, looking guilty: "Yeah, I guess we did".

Bob: "You guys! Well, come on over to the table we have up over here and grab a pair of Fruit of the Loon Mostly Cotton Sports Classic Style Briefs. Notice how well knitted these Fruit of the Loon Mostly Cotton Sports Classic Style Briefs are, with extra padding in strategic areas to catch excess sweat as you work out".

Term Orange (each holding a pair of briefs up): "Wow! These Fruit of the Loon Mostly Cotton Sports Classic Style Briefs are so creamy white and soft! Bob, we promise we will never again work out without Fruit of the Loon Mostly Cotton Sports Classic Style Briefs girding our loins!"

(camera fade out focusing on Bob nodding and grinning broadly)....

Wow...they only dated 4 months. That's pretty quick.
And he only knew her when she was skinny. After looking at the "Where are they now?" link posted on another thread I have to say that the chances of her staying skinny are pretty slim.

Just a question: Do you think Jerry had an advantage that he was weighed in at the hospital (after given fluids in the ambulance and probably at the hospital)? If he was weighed after pounds of fluids, his starting number would be greater, and the water weight would come off quickly. He just lost so much weight and they never showed him doing all that much. Just curious.

*I like the orange team - I think they were 19 or so.
good point

My DH and I dated about 6 months and married about 3 months after that. It's been 18 years. :) But I had not won $250,000 either.

I'm not that crazy about the silver team, either, but I thought it was really nice when one of them (which one was it?) hugged the pink (?) team member and said something like "don't feel bad - you lost more than I did."

First off, I was rooting for brown team dad, but I just know he won't keep it off, and when I saw that picture of his TWO sons who are both enormous, I couldn't help but thinking at what point wouldn't a parent say enough is enough? I'll bet those boys were both overweight even as little children, and that really upsets me.

My dd was getting really upset when they showed the clip of Jerry passing out - at least until he woke up and said "am I on the floor?" Sorry, but it just struck us as being so funny! I'm so glad he is okay - he looked ghastly when it was happening!!!
That was like the first season when everyone seemed to care. :cloud9:

It's still early in the season but I am already rooting for the orange team. I would LOVE to see a big transformation for that kid.

I am getting a little tired with all the product placement stuff. It's so contrived and staged...but I guess it pays off with the sponsors/advertisres otherwise they wouldn't do it. Admit it...you ALL want a green sports bottle, Extra gum and a membership to 24 hour fitness!

I know! Dinners are the hardest. Adding more fish has helped and we also do shellfish. Stir fry shrimp and veggies has gotten me through some boredom.

Oh you found me out. I really do want a green sports bottle, gum and gym membership. I have sooo many sports bottles and gum and we don't even have a 24 hour fitness here. :rotfl2:

What about the Fruit of the Loon Mostly Cotton Sports Classic Style Briefs? Don't you want them?

I shall now do the weight-loss dance for you:

Wait a minute! That banana isn't wearing Fruit of the Loon Mostly Cotton Sports Classic Style Briefs. Pssst ... that banana is naked.

Wow, you guys sure can fill the pages... I posted on around page 3, waited for the first show, watched.. Got busy with RL an now I have 20 some pages to catch up...

So, my favs are gonna be orange and brown. I didn't like that they sent home 9. Bob is getting testy in his old age:lmao:. And in the intro as I was scooping up our ice cream for the show, Bob and Jillian said we had to put it away!1:confused3 :confused3 How did they get the camera into our house...

Okay, I will catch up by the next show.

OK, so I am really late in posting this (I have strep throat  )

But I think this season's twist was MEAN!!!!!!!!!!! Kick them off after one week?! How did that help anyone???? I know it is a TV show, but I thought the goal was to help people get healthy?? :confused3

OK, off my soap box now and back to read all that I have missed (this sure is a chatty thread! :rotfl: )

Kristin

Isn't she the one who stayed at the ranch? How far in advance do they film?

ETA: I just noticed that she was one that was kicked off.

Well since Alli isn't showing much and she is due this month. They must have started taping this one right away after the other ones left the ranch which would have been August I think.

Exactly what I was thinking...

I liked Caroline Rhea better than Allie, BUT thought she could stand to lose a few pounds. (Although, I feel badly saying that because both hosts are/were very beautiful and normal-sized) :lovestruc

I would say the show needs a great new host, more medical information segments, and more usable tips.
