Today completly finished

WOW!! I think it was totally worth the wait :) I am so jealous of the counter tops!! I'm stopping at Home Depot on the way home to drool over the displays....lol!

Another busy day at work. I thought I was going to be able to leave on time, but I ended up staying for an extra 1/2 hour. I had a few things I had to finish. We are suposed to always leave on time on Friday, but you never know. I'll be going to the gym no matter when I leave work tomorrow. I was planning to go today, but I didn't. And, I'm not sure why. :confused3
QOTD: Honestly, I'd love to fit into a C cup again.

CC I am with you!! The best of intentions about the gym get lost on my way home. All I can think of is the mountain of things I should be doing at home instead of heading to the gym. TODAY!! I'm going outside for a walk/run no matter what....I said this yesterday and we had a tornado scare :scared1: OOPS!
Oh, and yes, a C cup would be nice.....someday I will wear a sun dress with little straps...sigh

Evening friends!

I am still feeling pretty crappy and hope to kick this bug soon because I have a half marathon to run on sunday.

I am considering taking tomorrow off too. I dont want to spread my illness to my employees and plus I just feel horrible.

I will either way be getting up very early to watch the royal wedding coverage. I cant wait to see what kate's gown looks like. Imagine becoming a real life princess.princess:

It was a pleasure coaching this week and actually got me motivated to get back on plan. I am now passing the torch to Mikamah aka Kathy. Thanks for being our coach this week Kathy:thumbsup2
Sending you :goodvibes that you are feeling better really soon!

What does it mean when I have the urge to purge everything in my darn house.

Do you remember last "season" of our BL challenge when I talked about unzipping the fat suit? I want to do that with everything. I have purged about 1/2 of my clothes, 1/2 the pencils, pens, and notepads in the house. ETA: I feel like I'm being suffocated with stuff, junk, fat.....
I really want to rip apart the kitchen but it's so darn dirty I don't know where to start. But I know if I start pitching stuff now I won't stop and I will regret tossing some stuff. So I sit here and lament about it.

Today is trash day and the can is full. LOL
And there is yet another huge pile for goodwill.

This weekends job is to finish purging the kids clothes.

UGH!!! I need a dumpster!!!
Talk about spring cleaning!! Sometimes I just want to spring clean my life!! Today I will clean out the car...pollen in the air gives it the beautiful yellowish/green tint...YUCK! Over the weekend I want to tackle the linen closet....scary old sheets and towel must go!

************ Evening friends~! Sucking down one more cup of decaf green tea to get out those last few calories and toxins before tomorrow's weigh-in. I don't feel much different, but I'm hoping for at least a 1 pound loss. I didn't go nuts on Easter and I've been very good with calories/carbs since then and doing plenty of exercise (including 45 minutes on Easter morning)... no reason I shouldn't have a decent loss, but heaven knows I've said that before and had a lousy weigh-in.

Gonna call in the morning to make a room request for our stay at All-Star Sports next week. We aren't sports fans AT ALL, but the best price was there, so that is where we will stay. DD is really hoping we can stay in "Surf's Up" (closest thing to swimming), but I've been reading and it looks like those are "preferred location" rooms and I refuse to pay any more.... so we'll see. If they can't give us rooms in "Surf's Up" without an additional charge, I might ask if they can change us to ASMu or ASMo for the same price.

We are starting to introduce carbs again tomorrow. I can't WAIT! I'm gonna have a pear and maybe some FiberOne cereal!! We want to have a more "normal" amount of carbs back in our diets before Disney so we don't end up feeling sick when we eat treats at Disney. But we will stick with healthy whole grain carbs and fruit..... nothing crazy. We've worked too hard to lose these pounds to blow it now. Never thought I'd be so excited to eat FiberOne!!

LOVING the evening breeze blowing in right now. Hope it keeps up for the night.... I am so tired of waking up all sweaty from these stupid hot flashes and night sweats! This breeze will feel great if it stays.

Gotta wash my face and get to bed! Busy day tomorrow. I'll try to pop on in the morning to chat and check on everyone's weigh-in! Good night!.......P
Best of luck with your room request!! Surf's Up looks like a fun section to be in! I give you so much credit for taking out the carbs to begin with! My doctor had me do a carb free cleanse and it worked really well. I missed one thing....fruit...oh how I love fruit! Good luck with the reintroduction!

Good Friday morning Teams

Sorry I haven't been on this week. It is the last week for my student teacher and I have only 5 days until my students take their AP test so it is a crazy week.

I am feeling better but with so much pollen in the air I am still sneezing.

Good luck everyone with their weigh in today.

Have a happy and healthy day.
Dona, I think AP prep is worse than the actual test! We have been doing simulations here for the past week and it has either scared the kids to death or made them feel more comfortable...nothing in between!! Best of luck in the coming AP weeks!

Friday 4/29 qotd- With the royal wedding today I was wondering what would it be like to be there, and a part of it all. Then thinking about us all here, pluggin away with our day to day average lives, somedays just making it through day. If you could have one day to live the life of anyone else on earth, who would you choose? Or would you choose to stay yourself, in which case you could go anywhere, do anything on earth, what would you choose to do?

Kathy, such a great question! I would be Oprah for a day...as long as it was one of the days she was in Australia! That trip looked so exciting and fun :)

We had quiche, ballinis, and mimosas. Looking forward to seeing them on the balcony! Glad the weather stayed nice for them!
MMMMMM....mimosas!

So to answer the QOTD- I would love to be the princess today.:thumbsup2 I cant think of anyone else I would rather be right now.

I have to admit on my wedding day I felt like a princess. I even made sure I had the tiara too.;)

Here I am.
Lindsay, you looked absolutely like a princess on your wedding day!! Your dress is stunning!

Hope everyone is doing well! We really got lucky Wednesday night and just had more rain. Those storms south of us were horrible. We went to the baseball game last night and two more thunderstorms came through. At one point there was a double rainbow--I said, does that mean we don't have to build the arc?:rotfl: It is so wet here. The rivers and creeks are spilling out of their banks. Lots of flooding. What a mess. We are supposed to have two days without rain, so fingers crossed!
I hope the rains stay away long enough for things to begin to dry out :beach: There was major flooding here too but it looks like we will have three whole days of sun before the rain returns...crazy weather!!

*****
I think I need a pat on the back for making it through this week. I have had ZERO motivation to do anything....including sticking to my eating plan and exercise plan. I'm not sure if it's just the TOM thing boomaranging back on me from the beginning of the week or the crap I have been eating disrupting my mood
Sooooo, it's back to square one. I'm afraid to get on the scale and even more fearful of attempting the 5K tomorrow. Brian will be running it and has assured me that there will be plenty of people walking it (since it's a fundraiser for a school) but I am still nervous since I had such a crappy week. I need a plan....

I'm considering going back on the cleanse from my doctor just to get the toxins out of my system. I can't stand the sluggishness I feel. AND back to the gym/outside exercise. I need to find a good walking route with fewer cars and hills. I set out my exercise stuff on the bed before I left this morning (it's a start) so I will go when I get home. I will be 38 in July and I don't want to spend another birthday feeling crappy about myself.

Back on the wagon....for what feels like the 20 millionth time!!

Nancy,

We flew to Hawaii from Michigan when my youngest was 3. She slept most of the way the first leg. My older 2 were awake. The youngest was then awake from CA while the older 2 slept! I was exhausted. Then we were waiting for the restaurant to open in the morning to eat becuase we were up so early due to the time change!

Anyway, one thing I did was wrap every little thing I bought. That way it took them a little more time to go through things. I know when I buy little stuff they look at it in the airport and maybe never again! THis way they cant look at it til they are on the plane!

Also, if your child has taken benedryl before and you know how he reacts (sleeps). I for one would be sure I had it in my bag!! You know just in case!!! flame away!

Have wonderful trips!!!!!
the other Nancy

i think you should be "first nancy" since you were here first. i can be "back-up nancy" or something ;)

i like the idea of wrapping everything! anything to pass the time will help!

Now, I'm just in the process of putting everything away and getting it organized the way I want it. I never realized how much stuff we had in our kitchen til I started doing this. HOLY MOLY! :lmao:

i love your kitchen. also, i'm very jealous because your kitchen is basically the size of my house. no, i'm not kidding. i love it!

What did they say about the benadryl?????

Have fun in DC!!! try not to worry to much it may be awhile to you have mommy and daddy time again. ENJOY IT!!!

omg people on the dis were crucifying the poor mother who wondered about giving the kid benadryl. a couple months ago i was at my doctor and told him we were going away and he said, "you should give your kid a dose of benadryl". so, i decided to google it and maaaaan, some people on the dis are SO judgmental. some were insinuating that this mother was basically abusing her child because she was "drugging" the child. sheesh. i mean, i guess on an internet form if you ask a question you are opening yourself up to answers that you may not like. but still!

good luck with the half marathon! you will do great! can't wait to hear all about it!

Good Friday morning Teams

Sorry I haven't been on this week. It is the last week for my student teacher and I have only 5 days until my students take their AP test so it is a crazy week.

good luck to the kids! i'm sure they will all get 5's!! (it still goes up to 5, right?)

Good friday morning everyone!! I'm excited to start coaching today, and hoping it will help me to keep my focus for more than half a day at a time. Though I think it was LTS who said as long as your on track some of the time, you're doing something good.

Are you all watching the royal wedding? I got up at 6 and was just in time to catch Kate arriving and the ceremony. It is just amazing. They look so happy when they smile at each other, and I hope they will be very happy.

Or would you choose to stay yourself, in which case you could go anywhere, do anything on earth, what would you choose to do?

that's a really interesting question! gosh, sometimes when i'm on park ave going to my doctor and see all the fancy parents with their fancy nannies and their sharp dressed kids i sometimes think it would be nice to see how the other half lives. but then i remember that i really adore my family, my neighborhood, and the fact that here in the bronx we really are salt of the earth type people and that's totally ok with me! i guess it would be nice to have one day to know what it's like to not have to worry about bills or the mortgage or college or any of that. but really, would that help me the day after when it's back to normal??? lol!

Have a wonderful weekend with dh. I know Thomas will be absolutely fine this weekend, and I hope you enjoy every minute of your couple time. I agree, if ds has had benadryl before, it's not a bad thing to have handy. Michael was 4 the first flight we did, and I did give him some because he was so active, and it does calm him down a bit. If he hasn't had it before, I wouldn't do it, because it can make some kids hyper.

:rolleyes1 i may or may not have given a little dose to thomas a few minutes ago to see how he reacts to the stuff. so far he seems exactly the same! lol! but hey, maybe he will take a nice nap.

i know how you feel sometimes about wanting a medal just for making it through a week. we didn't have mommy and me all week and the weather wasn't that great so i felt like i was fighting for every hour here at home. i'm looking forward to a break.

good luck at the 5k. you'll do great. every 5k i've done there have been a ton of walkers!! try not to worry too much about it.
********************

i couldn't sleep so i decided to tune into the royal wedding. for someone who was really uninterested i must say i got really into it. kate's dress? awesome. she is really beautiful. i love her hair. i also love that she's not a "typical" beauty aka some blond bombshell. she also seems pretty smart. good for her. i guess i'm a little jealous of her - but mostly because i wish i was that tall! lol!

it's only 11:15 now though and i'm EXHAUSTED! and i need to drive to DC tonight with DH. it's going to be a long day! maybe i can lay down for a few if thomas naps. we'll see.

have a great day everyone and if i'm not back on, have a great weekend!

Back on the wagon....for what feels like the 20 millionth time!!

I am going to quote Rose here. "the journey is not a sprint its a marathon".....I think thats how rose puts it. I think I have been on/off the wagon a bunch of times since starting but give yourself credit for not hopping off and letting it drive away. You are still here and trying to get back on track. What better way than to do your 5K this wkend. You will be so proud of yourself once you do!

omg people on the dis were crucifying the poor mother who wondered about giving the kid benadryl. a couple months ago i was at my doctor and told him we were going away and he said, "you should give your kid a dose of benadryl". so, i decided to google it and maaaaan, some people on the dis are SO judgmental. some were insinuating that this mother was basically abusing her child because she was "drugging" the child. sheesh. i mean, i guess on an internet form if you ask a question you are opening yourself up to answers that you may not like. but still!

1. I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion but as a former nurse advice giver at the peds office I have to say if parents called to ask what to do with their younger child on a plan I would always recommend benadryl if they have already tried it at home and made them sleepy. I have to tell you the doctor would sometimes recommend it at night for kids who were really bad sleepers.:lmao: OMG if people on those boards heard that we would probably get hate mail at the office. There are reasons other than drowsiness to give benadryl to kids on a plane. It is actually an anti-motion sickness drug too. Most people do not know that.

2. ahhh the royal wedding. I have to admit I wasnt interested either until late last wk I watched the william and kate story on TLC. I got hooked by there love story. I also loved the fact that she drove in as a commoner and left in a carriage as royalty. She is naturally beautiful and makes a gorgeous princess.:lovestruc

3. I hope you got some rest and have fun this wkend.

I do feel like if my house is out of control my life is out of control. Especially if the kitchen it bad.

me too it drives me crazy when it is all unorganized and messy. It makes me not want to cook which in turn I make bad food choices and it just is such an out of control feeling.

Glad to hear other than rain no damaging weather for you. I hope you have some rain free days.

Thanks ladies for the nice comments about my pic. I hope to look like that again someday....well minus the dress and tiara (I hope to only be married once):lmao:

****************************************************
I am starting to feel a bit better.:yay: I am just taking it easy and trying to tidy up here and there. It is suppose to be nice and sunny this weekend with the highs in the low 70's so the race will be warm. I know they do not have hydrating stations like disney did so I am considering carrying my own. I am trying to drink up now to make sure I am hydrated before i even start.

Can I time travel? Or can I choose to spend a day as someone who has already passed?? I would love to spend a day AS or WITH Laura Ingalls Wildler. She is truly my hero. DD is named for her.

Travel ANYWHERE? Too tough to decide. I think I would choose to see the Egyptian pyramids. Not necessarily #1 on my bucket list, but with all of the constant unrest in the middle East, I'm not sure it would ever be truly SAFE to travel there.

LOVED THE WEDDING!!! Catherine looked AMAZING and Prince William didn't look too bad himself! I hope they have a very happy marriage!

We had quiche, ballinis, and mimosas. Looking forward to seeing them on the balcony! Glad the weather stayed nice for them!

I thought of you and mentioned you so many times this morning. I hope you had a great time and enjoyed your morning. I had no actual intention of getting up early, but DD woke me at about 5:45 am and it ended up being perfect timing. We watched until about 8 am, then caught a few of the highlight reels. It was beautiful.

It brought back such beautiful memories of 1981 despite the final outcome! I was very teary seeing Catherine and thought her dress was PERFECT!!!

I'll be taking a walk to the wellness center later this morning. Taking a day for myself the rest of the day. Looking forward to watching all the highlight footage the rest of the day! Also can't wait for the special edition magazines to come out. Ash wants to collect stuff like I did for Charles and Diana's.

TTFN :tigger:

Have fun collecting all of the clippings with DD! I had a few Charles and Di collectibles, but I either tossed them or sold them on Ebay in the last few years. Wish I had saved them... probably could sell for a premium right now!

So exciting!! Is it monday you leave? I hardly ever iron and hate it, I think michael's first communion last spring was the last time. Have you ever tried Downy wrinkle release? You spray it on the clothes and then press the wrinkles out. One bottle lasts a long time.

We leave next Thursday, but I don't know how much I will be working this coming week, so I'd like to be packed early. I hate ironing but I do it daily. In fact, I ironed my Mickey t-shirt I'm wearing to the scrap convention today! I always iron all of the outfits before I pack them. I am an uber-organized packer. Can't help it. Clothes are ironed and outfits are put together (everything.... top, bottom, undies, sox) and very neatly placed in an oversized ziptop bag with a tag as to what day it is to be worn. Each person on the trip gets one bag per day, plus an extra ziptop bag with extra undies and sox, plus one extra top, in case of sloppiness. DD and I will be wearing matching t-shirts most days, but when we travel as a family I just try be sure that the colors go together well..... like we might all wear black, white, and grey (usually to MK) or khaki and shades of green (usually to AK). See..... told you I was a bit over the top!!

And this is why you are my idol. I can feel how excited you are about a pear and fiberone cereal. You have completely made this a healthy lifestyle, and I am so impressed.

Oh stop..... I ended up with steel cut oats for breakfast and a pear with my salad for lunch. Wish the pear was a bit more ripe, but it was still very good. Probably no more carbs today for me though.

I have a dress I bought to wear for Easter last year, knowing it probably wouldn't fit. I didn't even try it this year -- I think I probably could have squeezed into it, but I wouldn't have liked how it looked. I'm now hoping to wear it for our pastor's retirement party in the middle of June. If I'm diligent, it should look really cute! ::yes::

You will wear it and you will look adorable!! Be prepared to share pictures!!

:yay: for Suitcase Day! I'm glad you decided to do the scrapping event, I think it will be a nice break from all that cleaning! I did indeed do the full 2M, and 3M when I got up yesterday. I just couldn't bring myself to get on the TM this morning, though, so no 4M today so far. I've run 4 days in a row. I was hoping for 6, but my body doesn't seem to like that idea. I plan to run 5M tomorrow. If I find out later in the day that won't be possible, I'll suck it up and do 5M at a slower pace late this afternoon.

You are doing great. Four days in a row is great. Consider your day off as a "rebuilding" day and think about how much stronger you will be on your next run.

Ok, gotta quit posting and get out the door to a meeting. I was out so late last night -- we met with our financial planner from 6:30-8, and I didn't eat dinner until 9. I'm dragging a little this morning, since I'm usually in bed by then. Hopefully I'll get energized as the day goes on...still tracking everything I'm eating and hoping for a loss tomorrow morning at my WW weigh in...

Maria :upsidedow

Hope you get caught up on your sleep and fingers crossed for your weigh-in!

Kathy- I just realized that Ash is the exact same age as I was for Charles and Diana's wedding give a day or two! I pulled out all of my old scrapbooks and memorabilia from Charles and Diana's wedding and books of William and Harry when they were growing up. Ashleigh says she wants to make a scrapbook like I made. I guess I'll be going to the convenience store first thing in the morning to pick up the papers!

Have a lovely day! I think I need a nap since I've been awake since 3am!

TTFN :tigger:

Hope you got your nap!

I I have to admit on my wedding day I felt like a princess. I even made sure I had the tiara too.;)

Here I am.

Absolutely STUNNING! I thought it was a photo from an advertisement for a moment!! Thanks for sharing it!

Hope everyone is doing well! We really got lucky Wednesday night and just had more rain. Those storms south of us were horrible. Have a great day!

Been thinking of you a lot with all of this crazy weather. Glad to hear you are doing well and are safe. I need your address cause I have something to send you, but I keep forgetting to send you a PM! If you think of it, please PM me with your mailing address. I'll try to remember to PM you later.

Rose, I can definitely help with that. I have a few organizational articles that do a room a month (broken down into segments) and one that does a different task each day.

Personally I prefer the room a month as it has a small reward system for the room. That motivates people in the weight loss so it should motivate people in the organization too.

I do feel like if my house is out of control my life is out of control. Especially if the kitchen it bad.

Ditto to the underlined part!! That is why I get so crazy doing housework sometimes when it might seem unnecessary to others. I just can't THINK when the house is a mess!

Forgot to call this morning with all of the wedding excitement. Will do that as soon as I am done typing here!! Thanks for the reminder!

How about a hug instead?? You made it through the week and you WILL make it through the 5K.... even if you don't make a best time. Don't be nervous. Don't worry about what others are thinking. Just get out there and run (or walk) it the best you can! Race adrenaline should help a lot.

But what is MOST important is that you ARE climbing back on the wagon! You aren't giving up!!! We will slow down the wagon for you so you can hop right on TODAY!!!

:rolleyes1 i may or may not have given a little dose to thomas a few minutes ago to see how he reacts to the stuff. so far he seems exactly the same! lol! but hey, maybe he will take a nice nap.

Don't worry too much about it. You do what YOU need to do for yourself and your family. BTW, DS's dermatologist actually prescribed an allergy medicine that has a strong sedating affect so that he would not scratch his skin in his sleep. Honestly, I never gave it to him, but just letting you know that it isn't that unusual for doctors to suggest such things.

Good idea to keep yourself super hydrated before the event! Good luck!

***********Good afternoon folks!! I saw something today that I thought I would never ever see in my lifetime. Can you guess what it was? Nope, not a royal wedding. Nope, not that. I saw a TWO in the tens place on the scale this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually took a picture of the scale. I didn't lose the full pound that I was hoping for, but enough to see that "2"!!!!! I can honestly say I have never, ever, ever been this slim in my entire adult life. Kind of exciting, but it probably won't last long after a Mickey bar and Dole Whip next week!!:rotfl: But exciting to be there for now.... especially right after Easter weekend!

If the "potty fairy" is kind enough to visit today (sorry if that is TMI), I may even try another peek at the scale tomorrow morning to see if I can make that full 1 pound mark, but I'm happy, regardless. I am officially 1.7 pounds away from my final goal weight and I LOVE it here!!

I did a 30 minute workout of circuit training while watching the wedding this morning.... wasn't a huge workout, but legs were a bit stiff this morning and I won't make it to the Y tonight, so I'm calling it good enough for now. I may end up taking a walk in town tonight if I have some time to kill before the crop starts.

Well.... I'm showered and partially dressed, but I need to finish packing up my scrapping totes. And DD is sitting here waiting to talk about clothes for WDW, so I think I will get moving. Gotta PM Rose and call All Star Sports too!................P

Had a short nap and then woke up and rewound the TIVO to see Wills and Catherine leave the palace in the convertible. That was just an incredible thing they did! It was soooo cool!

Just laid around the rest of the afternoon watching recaps and some of my recordings from last night and earlier today.

Got a headache but I know it's from lack of sleep. Had my Friday drink, chips, chicken and more mimosas. I forgot to weigh in this morning so hopefully I will find time to workout this weekend. I did weigh myself yesterday so I may just use that.

Tomorrow is INSANE!!!! Izzie has her soccer game at 10 and then I will come home and get her showered and cleaned up for a birthday party at the AG Place in Natick. Need to drop her off at my co-workers at 12:45 tomorrow and then go to the transfer station. Ash's game is two towns over so I won't her to her game again. Also need to pack stuff for the girls to take to Auntie's tomorrow night. She'll be here for the girls at 5. Brian and I will head into Boston between 6 and 7 to meet redwalker and her DH. Sunday I have to be at the dance school at 11:15 to get tickets at noon. Then I will go get the girls and take the to another b'day party just down the street from Auntie's. I may run to Wal-Mart while they play. Then we will come home so I can collapse! :scared1:

Glad I have Monday off!!!!

Re-watching Dr. Who from last week so we'll be ready for tomorrow night. We also want to watch the Bruins game tomorrow afternoon! I hate the spring!

TTFN :tigger:

I had an okay day today. More stress eating, but everything else I ate was so low in points, that I didn't use too many of my weeklies. My weekends usually go well, so that is good. I went to the gym today and got in a decent workout. I'm planning to go tomorrow too. Sunday is the walk with some of my former co-workers. I don't know much about it, but I heard it's 3K. I'm sure we'll walk very slowly, but it's more than I usually do.

I'm all for an organization challenge of some type. I desperately need to purge my drawers of clothing. I have drawers that don't shut because they are filled so much. My goal for tomorrow is to have all my dresser drawers closed by the end of the day. I have clothes all over the house, so I'm going to need plenty of time, but those drawers will close!

I had a NSV today. A few weeks ago I got a new black sweater from Old Navy. It didn't fit perfectly, but if I bought a bigger size the sleeves and shoulders would have been too big. I wore it for the first time today and it fits perfectly! For the first time in way too long, I liked the way I look! So excited!

Have a great day tomorrow everyone! (Need sleep...)

I'm now hoping to wear it for our pastor's retirement party in the middle of June. If I'm diligent, it should look really cute!
You can do it!!
I gotta be me! I think since it's only one day, I'd choose to spend it doing something that is highly unlikely for me -- I'd go to St. Petersburg, Russia! When I was an undergrad I was obsessed with Czarist Russia (helps when you major in history), and I've always wanted to see Peter the Great's city. I would explore it with a kind, knowledgeable and handsome guide (hey, what the heck, it's my day to look at pretty things ), and I would just soak up everything.
This sounds pretty amazing. I have never had the best memory for history, and feel like I am relearning all I've forgotten with michael now.

My answer for this qotd is to be George CLooney's girlfriend for the day. Just to spend the day with him adoring me, chatting, relaxing maybe on a yacht.
still tracking everything I'm eating and hoping for a loss tomorrow morning at my WW weigh in...

Maria :upsidedow
Good luck with ww tomorrow!!

That is so cool. I was in high school. How fun for to have all your stuff to show Ash and I'm thinking you'll probably enjoy helping her make her scrapbook as much as she will, if not more. ;)

I have to admit on my wedding day I felt like a princess. I even made sure I had the tiara too.;)

Here I am.

wedding001-1.jpg
You are so beautiful. You were also beautiful running the princess half. A strong and inspiring princess. And you will be the same this weekend when you do your half in pennsylvannia. Glad you took today off, and are feeling a little better.

I have long thought that being organized in my house and life goes hand in hand with my food intake. If my house/life feels chaotic my eating is awful /chaotic. So I totally get this. I'd like to talk about this a little more this summer. And I'm seriously thinking about posting a weekly organizing challenge just to keep myself on track. With my DS home this summer I need all the help I can get!
Does the fact that an organizing challenge seems overwhelming to me mean that I really need it? I so know how you feel. I feel so much more in control when my house is in order, cleaned and decluttered. Which it is not right now. I think an organizing challenge sounds like a great idea.
Good luck with your race tomorrow!! You are getting out there, giving it your all, and no matter how you finish, you are a winner!! You are so strong and resilient and I am so proud of you. :thumbsup2 Have a fabulous day tomorrow!!

Personally I prefer the room a month as it has a small reward system for the room. That motivates people in the weight loss so it should motivate people in the organization too.
The rewards do help some times.

I would be Oprah for a day...as long as it was one of the days she was in Australia! That trip looked so exciting and fun :)
That would be amazing.
I'm afraid to get on the scale and even more fearful of attempting the 5K tomorrow. Brian will be running it and has assured me that there will be plenty of people walking it (since it's a fundraiser for a school) but I am still nervous since I had such a crappy week. I need a plan....

\Back on the wagon....for what feels like the 20 millionth time!!
You will do great at the 5k tomorrow, one foot in front of the other, and soon you'll be walking or running across that finishline. You can do it!! Welcome back to the wagon!! My goal for this week is to actually stay in it for more than 8 hours at a time. :rotfl2:

i may or may not have given a little dose to thomas a few minutes ago to see how he reacts to the stuff. so far he seems exactly the same! lol! but hey, maybe he will take a nice nap.
:thumbsup2

It is suppose to be nice and sunny this weekend with the highs in the low 70's so the race will be warm. I know they do not have hydrating stations like disney did so I am considering carrying my own. I am trying to drink up now to make sure I am hydrated before i even start.
That is warm, but not as warm as you were in disney. I was thinking ahead for the half I'll do this fall about carrying my water because there won't be near as many stops as in disney. Boy, disney knows how to do it. Good luck this weekend!!

Can you guess what it was? Nope, not a royal wedding. Nope, not that. I saw a TWO in the ones place on the scale this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P
so happy for you, Pamela!! :cool1:

Those weeklies are there for times like stress eating. You are doing so well, so excited for the nsv with sweater, and that you like how you are looking.

Good evening, friends. Again, started the day off ok, but ended not so well. And I didn't track any of it. So tomorrow I am going to start with a 3 mile run at the park, before the little league parade, and michael's baseball game. I drove my good friend to the airport tonight. She's going to see her dad who is dying in Ireland, and it's so sad. Her kids are so sad they can't go with her, and won't be able to go when he dies. Her dd came to the airport with me since her dh was coaching her other dd's softball team. I feel so sad for them all. It's so hard to be so far away. She is such a good friend, and was so helpful to me and my family, when my mom was sick and passed away. It's hard to see her going through this.

Off to get the boy to bed, or he'll sleep too late tomorrow and i won't get my run in. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Saturday 4/30 QOTD- What is your favorite treat that is healthy for you and fits into staying on track?

Kathy- Sorry about your friend that is so sad. Glad you could be there for her.

fat free chocolate pudding with a dallop of fat free cool whip.

Good Morning!!!!!!

I am looking forward to today. I will head out shortly for a short run just to make sure my joints still move.:lmao: and then we will head to our race expo around noon. The expo is held in a hotel in the heart of the city and the kids races are held on the street right outside of the hotel. They have tons of entertainment going on like clowns, games, music, etc. So once we walk through the expo we will head out for the kids races. It is such a crowded event and although it is so much fun it gives me alot of anxiety too. Nothing like letting your young child walk alone (well with hundreds of other kids) up a city street and then stand there and wait until you can see them running passed you, then try to race to the finish area.....yet to find them again in the pack of hundreds of kids and hundreds of parents waiting to get there child. They do have the finish area closed off and the kids have a number on their bibs and you have to show the tab you pull off from their bib with the matching number on it. Its a bit nerve wracking.:lmao:

We will then come home and have a high carb dinner and rest up for our races tomorrow.

I hope you all enjoy your day.

Another good week. I lost 3 pounds this week. I am continuing to go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week. When the weather cooperates, I go for a walk at lunchtime. I hope everybody had a good week and that your weather is being to cooperate too.

Saturday 4/30 QOTD- What is your favorite treat that is healthy for you and fits into staying on track?

My favorite healthy snack is roasted Brussel Sprouts. Roasted in some olive oil and salt they are a great snack when craving salty potato chips.

Saturday 4/30 QOTD- What is your favorite treat that is healthy for you and fits into staying on track?

I'm really a treat kind of girl, so it's hard to pick just one...I guess I'd have to say dark chocolate, because if you portion it, it fits right into staying on track ;) I'm also a big fan of popcorn (note: this is not recommended as a healthy treat) -- a super special and rare treat for me is to put dark chocolate raisinets in popcorn. popcorn::

Lindsay -- You are so beautiful and elegant! Yes, you did look like a :bride: Princess!

CC -- I'm with you, an organization challenge would be really fun, and could not hurt me one bit! :thumbsup2

Tracey -- We are also big Dr. Who fans, and eagerly awaiting tonight's new episode :happytv:

Kathy -- Your poor friend, she is lucky to have you to lean on  I hope your busy day today feels energized and fun!

Pamela -- The pyramids were my first thought, but I decided to branch out and go for Russia this time. It's distinctly possible that if we were both every really granted this day, we could be meeting each other -- I get dibs on 1981 Harrison Ford as my guide :rolleyes1 I stayed as AS Sports for the Princess in Feb., and I thought Surf's Up looks really fun. Love the pool area and the cool surf board decorations. I stayed in TouchDown!, and that was fine, too. A quick walk to the food court, and no noise from the pool. Also close to the baseball pool, which is great for quiet sunning. It is a quick walk to the other All Star resorts, if want to explore. I did that one morning and enjoyed the big icons. Oh! And Congratulations on Skinny You! :yay: I know how hard you have worked to make it happen!

BronxNancy -- I think this has to be your nickname. I know what it is like to live in a city where some have so much, some have so little, and I'm kind of muddling along in the middle. It definitely helps to be grounded -- guess I should thank that Midwest upbringing :thumbsup2

DisneyWedding -- Still marveling over that gorgeous kitchen! Almost makes me want to cook, almost :rotfl:

Rose -- You are in my thoughts today, I hope you have an amazing time! :cool1:

I got up and ran 5M this morning, then later went to WW. I was down 3.6, so a very happy weigh in! :woohoo: The tracking really paid off for me. It was a pain to write down everything every day, but so worth it now!

The rest of the day will be a blur of activity -- errands to the library, post office, Hallmark store, Target, Marathon Sports, and grocery shopping. Tomorrow is my rest day, so looking forward to church, :laundy: and Sci Fi shows, maybe even an afternoon nap. :cloud9:

I love pineapple chobani yogurt and will put thawed frozen raspberries in it. Fiberone bars are really good, but I haven't been buying them lately since I had some dental work. I should try again.

Sounds like a fun day. Hope the boys do well and have a blast during their races. Nothing like a little anxiety to keep you grounded. That is one reason I'm happy michael is growing up, I feel like I can trust him not to wander off. It sounds like they have a very good and safe system. Hope it all was smooth. Enjoy your carb-fest tonight and if I'm not back, good luck tomorrow!!:goodvibes

:thumbsup2Congrats on your loss!! That is fabulous. I love brussel sprouts too, but don't think of having them as a snack.

:cool1:Whoo hoo!! So happy for you. It is amazing how when we are faithful and honest with how much we eat, we will see results. Hope you get all your errands done today so tomorrow is total rest.

Rose- Thinking of you today too, and hoping all went well.:goodvibes

Karen- I forget if your race is today or tomorrow, so if it's today, hope it went well, and if tomorrow best of luck!! :goodvibes

Hope from the parade and opening ceremony for lunch, and then back at 12 for practice before the game at 1. Not enough time to really get involved in any of the multiple tasks I need to do, so I figured I'd pop in here.;) Michael is so excited, and just loves playing, so it's usually pretty fun to watch. I hope the sun stays out, it's so warm but when it's cloudy the park is on the river and get really cold.

Enjoy the rest of your saturday!:)

Oh my Goodness. I LOVE Chobani Pineapple Yogurt. It always feels like I am eating dessert -- it is just so yummy!!!

Maria and Kathy--love you both! :goodvibes

I finished. And honestly it sucked. My time for Princess 2:12, my time for this one 2:42. And I was in tears the last 4 miles. I was never out of breath or even breathing hard the entire time, but my knee was killing me from about 50 minutes on. It's funny cause up until that point I was on pace to easily be under 2:30 even with run 90sec walk 90sec run. Then something just happened and it hurt so bad. The last four miles I just kept running very slowly cause it hurt so much to stop and start. I poured it on and ran hard across the finish though.:goodvibes

No stomach issues at all.:goodvibes I felt a little yucky when we got home, but once I ate something it went away.

The scary part though, the last two miles my other knee started hurting, too.

I took 2 ibuprofen (which I never do) and it's manageable. We are going to the game tonight and I am having multiple g-f beers. It's been a LONG week.:goodvibes

I will do a race report later, cause 13 miles by yourself leaves a lot of time for introspection.:thumbsup2

Have a great Saturday!

BTW--I will never run that race again. I am done. I have the medal, and one is enough!:thumbsup2

LINDSAY----Have a fabulous race!:goodvibes If I can do it girlfriend, you surely can!!!

And woohoo to Mike--He finished in 1:54!!!!! I am so happy for him

:cool1::woohoo::banana::banana::banana: Rose, I am sooooooo happy for you that you were able to get out there, and finish!! I am amazed that with your injury you only added 30 minutes to your pr. You are one determined runner. Sorry it was so painful. I am sure your good knee hurting was from favoring the bad one, so hopefully the ibuprofen will take care of them both, and you will be able to relax comfortably and enjoy the game tonight, and the beers!! As many as you need, girlfriend. You deserve it. And if Mike needs to carry you home, so be it. He loves you. A big congrats to Mike on his time!! That is awesome!!
Have a wonderful night! :drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1 You should have at least for, for those last 4 miles.;)

Congrats for finishing rose and pushing yourself through all that pain. Your other knee was probably hurting since you were compensating from the other knee. I am so proud of you for not giving up.

We had a great day. Nick still gets so nervous for the races even though he did 6 or 7 last year. At least this one I ran next to him and he didnt need to hold my hand so we are making progress. Then ryan's race was next. He puts way to much pressure on himself to always win and be the best...yes and he is only 6 I know. So he came off the start running really fast and was in 3rd place for the first half of the race....he then made the turn to come back and I could just see he was falling back and sucking wind. By the time he got to us he looked like he was going to cry. He ran past us a few steps and then turned around with tears in his eyes saying his belly hurt. I ran a few steps with him and told him just to finish even if he has to walk the rest. He walked for a few seconds and then finished it running hard. He was so disappointed in himself. My dh and I told him we were so proud of him for finishing and that he doesnt have to be the winner or be the fastest. I can see this is going to be an issue for him throughout his life. He just has that drive to win. I dont think that is a bad thing but Im sure it will have its negatives as he ages.

I am now relaxing and preparing myself mentally for my race tomorrow. I am excited! My goal is just to beat my disney princess time. Since I wont be carrying my camera I should be able to do it.:lmao:

Congratlulations on finishing! :cool1: I'm so sorry your knee is bothering you, I hope you can get that resolved soon. I can't wait to hear your race report. Have fun tonight! We are going to a baseball game tomorrow, finally, our first of the season. Unfortunately its supposed to be cold tomorrow. Congrats to Mike on finishing under 2 hours! :cool1:

Good luck to Lindsay tomorrow!

Rose:  for finishing! I'm so proud of you! :worship: Hope your knees feel better. :goodvibes

Lindsay: :goodvibes for tomorrow!

Today was a decent day. I was hoping to go the gym, but my trip to the bank took way too long and I needed to be home by a certain time. It ended up being okay because I didn't eat much at all today. I still have 10 points left for the day and no appetite. I got plenty of fruit and veggies in and enough protein. I'm not sure what the scale will bring this week. My eating has truly been all over the place.

Well, I have a busy day tomorrow and what looks to be a busy week at work, so I best get some sleep. Night!

Rose - I'm so glad you finished!! Now, go take care of those knees!

Mo2P - the kids race sounds neat. I like the way they corral the kids until they can verify they are yours.
Sounds like Nick had a great day, and Ryan will do better next time! DS14 used to do the same thing, start out in front then slowly wane. He will learn!!
Good luck tomorrow!!!!

Maria - Great job on the weight loss!!!

Kathy - How did the game go?

CC - take care of yourself this week! Even though your are busy, take time for yourself too!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I realized yesterday I stayed on plan food wise. Forgot to journal it, but I stayed on!!

Tonight, I love water and broccoli!! LOL I just chugged 16 oz of water while making dinner and I ate my broccoli first, I can't finish my pork chop or the pasta roni.

I also did week 5 day 2 on C25K. 5 minute warm up, 8 minute run, 5 minute walk, 8 minute run, 5 minute cool down. I Did it!!! I did 2 miles in 31:42 which averaged a 16:11 minute/mile pace. Which is awesome!!!!
My shins will force me to run, LOL They kill if I walk so I kinda slow jog/speed walk in the walking intervals. Still having trouble lifting my left foot. I really need to will it to lift, but it's not as bad as it used to be. Tomorrow I will just do a walk. Monday is a 20 minute run for W5D3. I'm nervous!!! But I think I can do it!!
Today's quote on C25K was Never, never, never give up!! - Winston Churchill.
I had to keep saying it over and over in my head.
I also told myself I deserved that medal. I was not going to let DS down, I was not going to let myself down!!!!! And I kept saying Damn it I want that medal!!! Next thing I know...... my 8 minutes were up!!

I think I will bring my iPod and headphones with me. I'll keep one earbud in so I can hear music, it really does help.

I hope everyone has a great night and a fantastic Sunday!!!
