Well, this is as good a time as any to come back after a few weeks'

absence . . . Back on schedule now.
Welcome back! We are so happy you are here. Glad to hear that you got right back on track. How wonderful!!! Looking forward to getting to know you better.
I am

to report that I journaled every bite today!
Congratulations, CC! I knew you could do it! I am so happy for you and proud of you, sweetie! Thank you for helping me stay on track, too. Oh, and thank you SOOO much for tracking the HH for all of us. You KNOW how much better we all do when we work on making those good behaviors a matter of habit.
I just turned in my last group assignment so I can finally say
COLLEGE IS OVER!!
Congratulations, Kristina!! (sp? EEK!) I am hoping things go really well with the garage since you and Alan have put so much effort into it. But I also hope that whatever your dream is, you will have the opportunity to pursue it and that you will find peace and contentment. I also hope that your medical situation continues to improve and that your wish to have another child soon becomes a reality.
Pamela - LOVED hearing about your successful shopping trip and hope you'll post pix of you and DD in your matcing shirts. They sound pretty!
Cam, I have to say that this is one of the best QOTD that we've ever had!
Hey, sweetie! Glad you enjoyed it. The responses have made me laugh! What creativity! Those venetian sunsets sound delicious!!
Not much happening today, which is nice. While we were run/walking we saw so many people out working in their yards and felt a little guilty about not doing yard work, so I did a little yesterday afternoon, but really need to get out today and clean up more.
I did journal every bite, but also used a lot of flex points, but am still within my weeklies. That's what it's all about. Making it liveable.
Great job on the journaling, Kathy!!

I was happy to see people outside today, too. There were two moms walking with strollers. The thought of those ladies getting out in the fresh air and taking the little ones with them made me smile!
You know, I'm not really sure what started it the first time, but now that I had some recent blood work, it's medically motivated. My numbers are fine, but they used to be lower, and I'd like to see them back where they once were.
You are a wise woman to seize control of those numbers now. I hope you tamed the laundry monster!
Cam, I would like to join the journal challenge. I started today. I did have a run-in with some Cadbury mini-eggs, but I wrote it all down and moved on. Today I am taking the day off from exercise but I got a light workout washing down our outside furniture. We don't have a hose so there was a lot of bending and scrubbing. I've gotten a lot accomplished today. I'm way up today I think because I drank 3 beers Friday night and 2 last night. I've noticed since I've been on this journey that alcohol has a HUGE effect on my weight and I generally try to avoid it. It's so hard on these nice sunny days when we have get-togethers with friends.
Shawn - Welcome onboard to the journaling challenge! Wow! Your workout routine sounds so interesting and non-boring. I forgot that COD means Call of Duty. We are not gaming people in our house so I am always interested to hear what people are playng and what they think of it.
I remember waking up one day and realizing that I was done having children, that I was not happy with my weight or my lack of activity and decided right then and there that I was going to lose weight. My original goal was a size 12, but I blew by that and reached a size 6/8. I'm heavy again, but only size 10. I definitely do not feel as good as I did lighter and finally have some of my mojo coming back. Maybe the sunshine is reminding me that bathing suits are around the corner
Deb - I know you can get back to whatever size makes you content. You've done it successfully before! I am so inspired by you, by how disciplined you are notwithstanding your crazy busy schedule. Keep up the great work.
Brian and I are going to pick up Ash's b'day present tomorrow morning and do some errands while the girls are at school. Maybe we will also clean out the garage tomorrow afternoon.
Tracey - I can't wait to hear about Ash's reaction to her gift! Does she have any idea? Oh, and I thought of you tonight as our family was watching "TRON".
Well.... I went out Tuesday night looking for sneakers and didn't find any. When I talked to my Mom that night, she reminded me that DH had bought me a new pair for Christmas. I had put them away in my closet to save and completely forgot about them!! They are perfect and I have already worked on breaking them in!! The Rykas that were making my ankle hurt are already in the Goodwill bag. I didn't even want to save them for "bang around" sneakers cause of the ankle pain.
Glad you got rid of the sneakers. I'm sure they will be perfect for someone else but we don't want you risking further injury. Glad DD is going to join you in your new way of eating. It is great to have company. And speaking of which, I feel like we are having tea together virtually. I've been on a hot lemon tea kick.
My biggest motivators are my granddaughters, who are 11 and 12-1/2, the love of my life

. We take them to Disney

every other year and have to be able to keep up with them

. No slacking on the job Grandma & Grandpa.
Right now, my DH is my biggest motivator & cheerleader

because he is going to the gym with me 4 times a week. Going to the gym alone is so very hard.
Great motivation. Glad you can share the Disney experience with them.
You need to know I was wearing Size 2X when I started last August. Well I went to NY and Company. I found these real cute slacks in a green kahki. I tried on size 18 thinking at last I wear regular size clothing. Well they pretty much were falling off,

I then went out and got size 16 and tried those on. Wow they were also too big.

. At this point I called over a sales girl and asked to see a size 14 truly not believing they would fit. So you know these were not stretch pants, but cotton slacks which have no give to them. With my heart beating I tried them on, I then zipped them and fastened the button OMG they fit, in fact maybe a little loose but I figured that they are cotton and they may shrink. I was so excited I was doing a happy dance in front of the mirror. People must of thought that I lost my mind.

I had to tell them that I lost 48 pounds and this was a big deal for me.
I just had to share this victory with everyone.
Woohoo!!! That is AWESOME!!!

:

So, so, so happy that you are seeing the results of all your hard work!! That is just so wonderful. You BLEW right past the 18s and 16s!! Man, I would have worn those pants right out of the store!!
Poochie- I love that feeling of sizes I never expected to wear! I was excited this morning to see the Kmart ad with my Lee jeans for $12.99!!! I bought a SIZE 6 blue denim!!!! I have never worn a size 6! I tried them on a few weeks ago but waited for them to go on sale. I also bought a pair of size 8 black denim as the black runs smaller. The size 8 blue denim I had on today were practically falling off me.
Great job, Tracey!! New clothes in small sizes are cause for celebration!!!
As for me, I've had a horrendous weekend, foodwise. I have journaled every bite of this ridiculous experience but that didn't keep me from eating it. Since I am such a nice person

I won't enumerate all the junk I've eaten -- it would be kind of like food porn.

Suffice it to say, everything is back under control. We leave for Barcelona in less than 11 weeks.

I only lost .6 last week and really need to move along on this journey if I want to take that beautiful new portable piece of art (my new handbag) to Europe. LOL! 13 pounds to go. Suddenly, I am not as secure about making that happen. I need to get back to KNOWING I can accomplish that goal. I think that if I'd ever been at that number before in my adult life, I'd be confident that I can get to it. But since I have never been there, it is hard for me to believe that I can.
Okay, enough of my pity party. Have a great remainder of the night, my friends! Stay away from the fridge and cupboards. Pretend the kitchen has a huge "CLOSED" sign on it.

Hugs, all!
LOL!!! The smilie police came after me. I had to edit this three times to get it down to 25! Trying this one more time .....
