Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge--for Losers and Maintainers

Here I am. I pulled out my compass and located the team.

Hello to everyone on Team Donald. I hope you enjoyed the challenge with Team Mickey. I know I was motivated with the competition. And now we are one and we will continue to challenge each other to more success over the next two months.

So, I just finished 90 days of P90X and what am I going to do? I am going to Disney World. Yoo Hoo!!!

Lets keep up the good work everyone.

Dave

Evening All!

Thanks Dona and Rose! Today wasn't entirely OP, but I didn't overeat at all. Someone explained to me that I am eating so much because I am truly hungry. The problem is that I'm hungry again minutes after I eat. I'm optimistic that will change. I have a med check next week and a we've already decided to make a change or two thinking that one of my meds is causing me to be so hungry. I'll know soon enough.

That's about it with me. I know the thread is moving fast, but it's good to have so many of us. :cool1:

Have a great, OP day tomorrow everyone!

How did you do with P90X?? I purchased the program for DH and he is starting this Friday. Have fun at Disney!!!

Congratulations to all the losers, and everyone else, keep plugging along. I have been aiming for 5 days of sticking to my caloric intake and calorie burn (I have a BodyBugg). And it seems to be working so far.

Janis

Thanks guys.

I had an aha moment today. After I had decided to accept the job and it finally sunk in, the stress and tension lifted. I was ready to committ to getting healthy again. I wanted to go out and take a walk though I didn't have time. We are away this weekend which will make it very hard for me to completely committ, but I will start now and next Monday it's ON!!!

Hi Janis,
I started P90X on January 1st (Weight Watchers on December 16th) and it came hard at first. I did have a goal to complete it by our vacation and that kept me going. The hardest part was just pressing the "play" button everyday. Once the workout started I was fine.

If you go to Team Mickey and go back a few pages from the last page you can see my progress. It does work. I started at 296.6 and My last weigh-in as 253.0 pounds. Plus I have lost 5.5 inches on my waist.

Tell your husband good luck, do his best and forget the rest.

Dave

Life has been very hectic for us lately and this will just have to be a quick post. I'm sorry I don't have time to respond to everyone. I have talked to you here in my head as I read your post however:laughing: Once life slows down some here I look forward to posting daily again. It's a great motivator to me.
Shawnprincess:
Hi Shawn! I so totally do that! I also write my responses down and sometimes not actually get to post them, like I did this morning!

I loved Jem but I adored Scooby Doo (the original) as a favorite cartoon. My favorite tv shows ranged from The Dukes of Hazzard to The Love Boat. If my parents were feeling generous I was allowed to stay up and watch Fantasy Island :lovestruc
my mom would let me stay up to watch Moonlighting with her while my dad wasn't home!

Tuesday QOTD -

I've had a personal trainer since the 1 year anniversary (2009) of Josh and Maddie's death. When they passed away I was 180. After being in the hospital on and off for a month I dropped to 150. Well, then life start looking up and Alan came into my life. This of course changed my mood and my eating habits. I went from being depressed, living in a dark hole, hardly eating anything, sleeping all the time to somewhat going back to the normal me. In a year's time I gained 50 pounds!! YIKES!!

So a few short days before the 1 year anniversary of their death I joined 24 hour fitness. I wasn't going to get a trainer but after explaining to them my physical issues after the accident the guy explained that they had a trainer who had a background in occupational therapy. COOL! Where do I sign? Joel, knows he can push me but he can only push so far. He knows of my limits and recognizes them when he sees them. I've been with him now for over 2 years and I couldn't be happier.

People have said to me, "Kristina, isn't having a personal trainer a waste of money?" Well, to some people it could be but for me it was more of a trying to regain some of my life back and getting out of the shell that I've been in since 2008. I was terrified to do anything because I thought with everything that happened to me that I couldn't do it. Well, Joel has taught me "You can do anything you put your mind to."
"
It's nice to have support and guidance like that!

I finally have Great news to report.
Congrats!

QOTD- I had lots of favorites. rainbow bright, shirt tales, smurfs, and care bears that was probably up to about 6-8 years of age. Then it was The Jetsons, Alf, Saved by the bell, oh and WWF wrestling:rolleyes1

Let me just say they dont make shows like they use to.
I loved those! Rainbow bright was awesome!

I am torn. Without any thought I would say Transformers or He-Man. But upon thoughtful introspection, I would have to say Gummi Bears or DuckTales. I prefer the latter cartoons because they hold up over the years. If I were to pop Transformers or He-Man in the DVD player, they would be hard to watch. On the other hand, when I watch Gummi Bears and DuckTales with my daughters I am still thoroughly entertained.

My brother and I would watch transformers and gi Joe back to back after school every day! I wasn't allowed to watch He-Man, my parents were a little uptight back then. But Gummi Bears were awesome too! I have the theme song running thru my head now:lmao: now I have my husband singing it!

Jem, Smurfs and Shirt tales. I found a Jem book at a book sale last year. I snatched that sucker up in a heart beat!!

TV show - Who's the Boss, Punky Brewster, and The Cosby Show.
Congrats Deb!!!!!!!
Every one thinks I'm crazy every time I bring up Shirt Tales! I heard they are going to be rereleasing Jem onto DVD soon. Who's the boss is so good, my DH and I watch the reruns sometimes.

My arm is ok, thanks for the concern! Boo is usually harmless when she bites me, very rarely does she do real damage, thank God! She really can be a monster though.

I went to buy Tangled today and the store I went to was sold out! I was so mad, now I have to wait til Friday to get it!

Good Thursday morning Teams.

I went to a meeting last night and did not get home until 10. That was okay since I wanted to watch the Top Chef final but because of that I got to bed pretty late last night. Wa happy with who won. I really wanted that personto win it (I am not going to spoil it for anyone who is going to watch it later).

QOTD It is really fun to listen to all the shows people liked to watch as kids. You can also tell how old someone is by what they watched.

tv show I have to go with some of the older folks with Captain Kangaroo and I am really weird Ed Sullivan.
cartoon Flintstones, Jetson (both when they were on in the evening) and Looney Toons on Saturday morning.

Dave congrats on what you have accomplished. Hope you have a good trip.

tggrrstarr I hope you can find Tangled soon. I will be getting it in the next couple of weeks.

my3princes Congratulations on the new job. I hope it is everything you want it to be.

cclovesdis good luck talking to the dr about what you have been going through the last few weeks.

BernardandMissBianca I hope you are not coming down with a sinus infection

disney1990 glad you found us.

HappyMatt my ds1 loved Duck Tails. Then when he was in high school his marching band did a salute to Disney and one of the songs they played was the theme to Ducktails. It was a small band and everyone came to the edge of the field to play some sort of percussion instrument. It was a lot of fun.

jbm02 STEP AWAY FROM THE PANTRY

HI to anyone I missed this morning.

Have a happy and healthy day.

Morning losers,

:sick:Feeling absolutely horrible this morning! I was awake at 4:30 with a headache and sore throat so I took some motrin and tried to go back to sleep. I think I did for a few minutes but it wasn't long enough. I reset the alarm when I got up too. Supposed to head to work this morning but if it's only one client I may just reschedule her. She's a regular so it wouldn't be too much trouble. No fever but just no energy. I just fixed myself some tea to see if that helps. I really just want to go to bed. I should've known something was up when I fell asleep right after the kids went to bed. Brian looked over and I was curled up in a ball on the couch sound asleep. Right after dinner I felt the wave of exhaustion hit and that was it!

Got the soccer schedule this morning. We have to bring oranges next week to the game. Well, Brian will have to since I have to take Izzie to her game and then I have to meet people for lunch and signing Ash up for her sewing class.

Gotta make Ash's lunch and have that cup of tea now!

TTFN :tigger:

I was ready to committ to getting healthy again.

you go girl!!!

I went to buy Tangled today and the store I went to was sold out! I was so mad, now I have to wait til Friday to get it!

boo! i really want to get tangled. it would totally be for ME and not my under two year old son ;)

:sick:Feeling absolutely horrible this morning! I was awake at 4:30 with a headache and sore throat so I took some motrin and tried to go back to sleep.

 feel better! have you tried a gargle with warm salt water. it never sounds like it will work but i really swear by it!

i feel like i haven't done enough personals on here. hi kathy! rose! dona! disneyweddings! lindsay! lisa! dave! buzz! cc! BAMB! bungle! sheesh this group is huge! and we're all going to be so skinny :)

WHAT IS WITH THIS WEATHER??? we are looking at a chance of SNOW! where is spring? this is getting so ridiculous (remember me complaining about this when i whine about how HOT it is in a couple months!)

i'm doing pretty well with my food choices lately but i'm having a very hard time exercising. i've been having some really bad stomach issues and can't figure out what is causing it. a bacteria? IBS? i have no clue. thinking about going to the doctor. i can't take imodium or pepto so i'm just miserable. sorry, totally tmi i know.

on a different note - they STILL haven't found that COBRA that escaped the bronx zoo! omg! i really have a feeling someone stole it. wouldn't they have found it by now otherwise?? at least it's been cold out so i don't feel like i'm missing out on good zoo time. we usually go at least once every two weeks! not sure if anyone's on twitter but check out @bronxzooscobra. whoever is doing this is VERY witty!

i have my first doc's appt on monday and i'm really freaking out. DH works in jersey now (he was in manhattan while pg with thomas) but he's going to leave work early and meet me downtown so we can both attend the appt. i'm really happy about that.

have a great day everyone. what's on the menu today? i need breakfast and lunch ideas!

Good morning everyone. I had so much fun reading everyone's favorite tv shows and remembering so many that I didn't think of yesterday. And feeling old when you all were watching things like care bears which I watched with my nephew. What a fun question. I did for get I loved the Monkees!! I wish may was a good time for us to do disney so I could see davy jones at the flower power concert series.

Going to go with CC, and say yesterday was not a good day. Over ate a ton of crap, for no reason. Maybe the thought of snow coming, work stress, pms, who knows. Today is a new day, yet again.

Thanks guys.

I had an aha moment today. After I had decided to accept the job and it finally sunk in, the stress and tension lifted. I was ready to committ to getting healthy again. Love the attitude. Congrats on the new job!! So happy for you.

I'm going to ditto this. I wish I had more time to reply more, but I do love reading everyone's posts.

Nancy- I hope the stomach thing gets better soon. You should definitely have it checked out being pregnant and all. That's nice dh will be able to make the appointment with you.
I don't twitter, but googled the cobra and there was an article about it, and it looks hilarious. Hope they find him soon.

It does move a little faster, but you don't have to reply to everyone, read what you can, and check in when you can. As the weather gets better it will slow down a little.:goodvibes I try to look at it as, even though there are more posts to read, that just means more great motiviation and advice and support.
:thumbsup2

OK, I just want to make sure -- is this the thread that has taken over both Team Donald & Team Mickey?
Yes it is. We're all here together now. Moves a little fast, but it's so nice to have the gang all in one place.

:hug:Hugs to those not feeling well. Hope things are looking up soon.

Kelli- thank you for coaching this week with the thread so busy, you've done a great job, and I've really enjoyed your qotds.

Have a great day everyone!!

And the weather! Uggh! It's opening day for goodness sake! Go Reds!:goodvibes

No time for reading or replies right now, but I wanted to say HI! I've been super busy the last few days and haven't had a minute to check in here. I'm working today and might have time when the kids go to art, so hopefully I'll be back here before lunch today!.............O

I used to watch the Monkies any time I didn't have school or stayed home! I loved Davy Jones!
Thanks! I wish I could have been here more this week, my schedule is just a little worse than normal.

QOTD 3/31/11 Thursday
If you could only stay at Disney for one night and full day, what would you do? Would you spend the money on a one day pass or would you just hang out outside the parks?

I ask this question because my DH & I are arguing over this right now for our next trip. I vote ticket and Magic Kingdom!
(I hope this ? Is better than the one my DH suggested- scale of 1-10, how much do you wish your husband had red hair?) :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

I'm with you. I would get a ticket and do Magic Kingdom :D in fact this is exactly what we did two years ago. Watned to take DD to Disney but didn't have a lot of time and wanted to kind of just test the waters since she was only 2. So we got a room the one night and the next day we went to MK and that was the end of Disney for that trip lol

So it seems on days that I work out... the next day my weight goes UP. It seems to go up a pound or two and then the day AFTER the day after it drops a couple pounds. it's so weird. anyone else experience that?

I'm a little bummed because last week was such a good week but so far I'm OVER what I started the week at :O only by a couple of ounces but my weight has been all over the place this week. down two pounds, up one, down two pounds, back up one pound. Now I'm stuck at 224.6 which is .6 over what I weighed in with on Friday. tomorrow is weigh in day and I'm afraid I may show a gain :scared1:

And I used to work around chlorine bleach all the time and every one of my jeans that "fit" had bleach holes in them. There in the corner of the closet was a pair of jeans that looked brand new. I picked them up and checked the size and there was no way I was going to fit into them.

You see, when I started this program the pants size I squeezed into was 44" (should have been at least 46" though, you know what I mean.)

But I thought "Why not? I know they won't fit but at least I can see the change and maybe I would be close." And you know what I am going to say don't you...they slid on like they were made for this moment. And as always I checked the pockets and found an old ticket stub from the last time I wore them. On November 12, 2003 we saw The Haunted Mansion.

Guess what I am wearing today. My "bleach-less" jeans, size 40".

QOTD 3/29/11 Tuesday
Have you ever used a personal trainer or considered signing up for one? Some gyms give away free sessions when you sign up. Do you think it would help you or do you think you can do it on your own?

Nope.... but I had a PT ask me to join a class she was running at the Y last spring. It was kind of a boot camp and there were usually only about 5 of us in it.... and occasionally it was just me!! It was a GREAT class and I really enjoyed it, but the PT had some "personnel differences" with the Y and left a few months later and I just can't seem to "get into" the same class with a different trainer (young guy as opposed to the middle-aged woman who lead it previously).

Hi I am Becky. I am 28 and live in Pennsylvania. I have been overweight basically my whole life. A few years ago I got my act together and lost almost 70 pounds, broke my foot and wasn't allowed to put weight on it for months so I started gaining. I did lose weight again and then I started gaining again. Part of this gain was a huge cyst that when removed have 2 1/2 gallons of fluid removed from it. I would like to lose about 80 pounds. Get healthy and be more active.

I have signed up for the January 2012 half marathon. I want to complete a half before my 30th birthday so I am determined to do this. First point of business is to get fitted for shoes, which should be fun as my feet are not within the normal shoe size range.

In addition I am currently getting ready for a trip to the West coast~ California, visiting relatives, Disneyland, Disney Wonder, San Francisco, Victoria, Vancouver and then Seattle. In 26 days I leave for this trip. I hope to lose 5 pounds before I leave.

Congrats to all the losers and maintainers. If you gained hang in there and make positive choices in the future.

Nice to meet you!

I would hope they have a gym at the contemporary, with the prices you pay, but don't know, I only dream of staying there. I price it out every trip, and then stay value.

That is me every time!! :lmao: I'm just too cheap for my own good sometimes!

Hello Friends!

I do like to think of all of you as my friends....who just happen to live in my computer :) This is my first post on the merged thread since I have been away for 2 weeks...away from the computer that is. We were on spring break at school and I decided to not use my computer...so freeing..but we are back now and here I am!

The last week was pretty rough. I went back to my orthopedist since I have been experiencing a great deal of pain in my shin (the one that has the titanium rod from the broken leg). He thinks it's just muscles moving around but gave me a topical anti-inflamatory and 4 weeks at PT 3x per week. I've gone 4 times and OUCH! I'm hoping that the exercises and stim are going to help. I'm going back to spin tonight and hope to make it through the class without pain.

On top of my pain, my best friend/roommate lost his brother Michael last Tuesday. Michael struggled with adictions and mental illness and took his own life. The worst part is that I had to tell him. The police showed up at the house and BF wasn't home. They wanted to come back after they knew he was home or I could tell him. It would be really stupid to have him home and tell him that we need to wait for the police to show up! So, I had to tell him. It's been tough on him and on me as we made all the arrangements and sent in the obit this morning. Wake is Friday and Funeral Saturday. Please say some prayers for all who struggle with additions and contimplate suicide. You never know what a kind word or helping hand can do to help someone feel they are not alone.

I'm so sorry to add such sadness to the thread but it really made me think about being healthy in not just body, but in mind and soul as well. Please tell your loved ones that you love them...I know I have been.

I wish you all a wonderful day filled with smart choices. I promise to be back on track next week when things have settled here.

Sorry about your sore leg and VERY sorry about the loss. Prayers for everyone's peace coming your way.

At least I feel like things are finally looking up.

Of course Nick is home sick today and I'm fighting it too, but nothing I can't deal with.

Glad things are looking up and sorry you and Nick are feeling poorly.

:wave2: Just checking in to say hi! I am not going to be able to keep up for the next almost 2 weeks. We leave Thursday and I have so much to do I need to stay off the computer. I don't know how much time I will have when I am gone. The hotels have internet so I will try to at least come by and say hi and let you know if I am being good or have just abandoned my healthy eating completely during my trip. :rolleyes1

I'll miss you! Have fun!

Okay first things first and most imporantly:

I didn't gain any weight while at Disney!!

Okay onto how the trip went:

I got home late last night from my "happy" place and wanted to let everyone know how the trip went.

Candice (Best friend) and I were up before the roosters Saturday morning. I got ready and shot her a text as we were pulling out of the driveway. We were going to go through McDonalds drive thru to grab some breakfast and the employee was like "Oh we're closed." Um, no your not. Your drive thru is open 24 hours and you just took someone's order." Okay, fine whatever. We drove over to Whataburger near Candice's house and got some breakfast and then swung by her apartment and picked her up. We ate breakfast on the way to the airport and once we were there got ready to check in for the flight. I went reaching into my purse for our boarding passes and WHOOPS! I left them in the car. Okay no biggie I just reprinted them and we were set to go. We got checked in, got our bags checked in, went through security (I did all of this walking with no wheelchair), and walked about half a mile to our gate.

The flight was uneventful and before we knew it we were landing in Orlando. Now, Orlando was a totally different story the DFW airport. We have to walk over the mountains and through the woods to get to baggage claim and then onto the Magical Express bus. So in this case I was pushed in a wheelchair. I didn't recieve our Magical Express info before our trip because I had booked it that same week. So we waited in line to get our voucher and off to the bus we went. After a few confusing moments we were directed to the right bus and off to Saratoga Springs resort and Spa we went!

The first day we were there we pretty much just lounged around and went to Downtown Disney. We got checked in and were told our room wasn't ready. I asked the cast member for a closer room to the lobby and that they had one. We were lucky, I got the LAST ONE!

We left our bags with bell services, went to grab a bite to eat, and then decided what to do next. We jumped onto a bus to Downtown Disney and did some shopping and ate lunch at Rainforest Cafe. I can honestly say that walking through Downtown Disney wasn't as bad as I expected. I think with all the walking I've been doing my leg held up pretty well. After lunch we hit one more shop and then headed back to the room to relax for a few.

We decided we wanted to swim so got ready and headed to the pool. Yeah, we weren't in it long it wasn't very warm . We went back to the room, got dressed, and headed back to Downtown Disney. We walked around some more and enjoyed dinner at Captain Jack's Restaurant. We both had crab cakes with aspargus and red roasted potatoes. We ordered drinks and when the waitress brought them to us they were huge! A few of you got the text I sent showing exactly how big they were .

By the time dinner was over and we were back on a bus to the resort it was almost midnight. We hit the bed and got up early the following morning for Magic Kingdom .

We get to Magic Kingdom and I had to have them reprint my annual pass because I had left it at home . I also had to pick up Candice's theme park ticket. This is where I got a peice of interesting news. Apparently, I had bought her a 5 day ticket and not a 1 day. I'm still needing to look into how and why on earth I did this. We get me a wheelchair and through the gate we go.

For the most part the park wasn't all that busy. It was a little warm but nothing ridiculously hot. We had gotten there about an hour and a half before our lunch reservation at Tony's restaurant so we just took some pictures, watched a parade, and waited for our reservation. Lunch was garlic bread with cheese on top for an appetizer and baked ziti with Cokes. This was our first time eating there and determined that it was going to be a repeat visit when we come back later in the year.

After lunch we decided to hit Adventure Land and work our way around the park, leaving Tomorrow Land for last. I'm not going to bore you with all the details but I will tell you we finished lunch around 1:15 and by 12:45am the following morning we had rode everything we wanted to ride in the park plus the time allotted for our dinner reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern and the little time I spent shopping getting my Mickey Mouse for the trip.

Oh, Liberty Tree Tavern was a buffet of sliced beef, ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, and macaroni and cheese that they brought to your table. Dessert was apple crisp with ice cream. It was another very delicious dinner that I will try again on future trips.

The last day we just lounged around the resort. It was really crummy weather. We had bell services pick us and our luggage up and take us to the front of the resort. We got everything squared away and then went and had lunch and lounged around waiting for our 4pm bus. Once on the bus we were off to the airport. The rest of the trip wasn't very eventful, but I was glad to get home and hit the bed.

Your trip sounds great! Thanks for the mini-report! It is getting me excited for my upcoming trip!

P- How cool, youre going to WDW. I hope you have a great time. You more than deserve it. I ate a little bit of everything at the Steakhouse, although I personally didn’t order anything. I tasted the lobster, mac n cheese, asparagus, mashed potatoes, calamari, crab cake, and sangria. Lets just say I paid for it by gaining a pound. Your salmon chowder sounds yummy. I’ll find a picture of a birdcage veil to show you. Basically it’s a tiny veil that only goes over your face.

The Steakhouse sounds delicious! I think I know what you mean when you describe the veil.... but I'd love to see a picture.

Sounds like the wedding plans are going along great!! You must be getting so excited!

Good Wednesday morning Teams

I woke up feeling more tired than when I went to bed last night. I guess it is the sore throat that came back yesterday. I thought I had a good night sleep but I guess I didn't . I have a 7pm dinner meeting tonight. I have no idea what they are serving. I will be working on portion control tonight. I know I won't be getting home until late which is good since I wanted to watch the final of Top Chef tonight.

Hope you are feeling better soon. Thanks for being a great teacher and being there for the kids who need the extra help.

Hi, Team,
Sorry I've been away from the boards for so darn long. I've pm'd some weights here & there but lost my mojo. Kids activities kicked up a gear, got a stupid cold in Feb, and had a very difficult time at work most of Feb & March. I realized I had made this promise to myself nearly THREE MONTHS AGO to lose a few pounds--where did the time go? I didn't gain, but I didn't really lose, either, so...

..I signed up at WW on Monday. Had to bring the kiddos with me, but they were pretty good. I just need parameters, I guess. And more accountability, I guess--it was easy to just not pm my weight :-(

So, thank you for staying strong you guys are an inspiration!
RutgersAlum

Glad you m ade it back on here with us! Any time you want to chat about WW, let me know!!

Let's go back in time! What was your favorite cartoon or tv show when you were a kid?[/QUOTE]

First reaction was to say The Donny and Marie Show! Love them! But also The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights.... and for you NE folks, how about Community Auditions on Sunday morning??

Thanks Tracey for ruining my day with the forecast.;) I am so done with winter, but looks like Pamela will be hit hardest. Sorry P.

YUp.... we are currently in the 6" belt with 12" falling north of us. Hopefully it won't change to anything more than that. And of course, it will be that heavy wet snow that you just CANNOT snowblow.... it must be shoveled. The kids are all prepared for another snowday tomorrow. :scared1:

Nice to meet you all and to reconnect with old friends and soon I hope to posting more regularly.

Have a great day all:wizard:

Just glad you made it here!

*** GOTTA RUN AND PICK UP MY STUDENTS!! BBLATER!!..............P

Lindsay--that was a crazy story with the trainer!

Kathy--I loved Captain Kangaroo, too! And Romper Room--though they rarely said my name. And I loved Scooby Doo.:goodvibes Great job on tracking for two days!

Shawn--have fun on your trips!:goodvibes

I survived the dentist.:goodvibes It was sooooo much better. My ptsd stuff really flares up at the dentist. I usually spend the entire time on the verge of a massive panic attack. She skipped the ephinephrine because of my weird heart beat and I think that really helped with my anxiety.:goodvibes And the gas didn't hurt either.:thumbsup2 What a relief that is over!

It is miserably yucky here today--rain and snow mixed. I hope all you east coasters don't get too much snow later this week.

Enjoy the rest of your day.:goodvibes

I can leg press 230 pounds.
I can walk a mile outside and not stop.
I can ride 2 miles on a stationary bike in 20 minutes
I'm training for the 5K at Disney World in January of next year

If you would of told me 3 years ago that I'd be doing these things I would of laughed.

We were trying to eliminate certain bills at the end of the year. Alan joked "Oh let's cancel your gym membership." I laughed at him and said, 'Are you kidding me? All of the money I've spent on personal training sessions? I consider Joel an investment toward my health. No, I'm not canceling my gym membership."

My favorite cartoon was the Flintstone's.

I finally have Great news to report. I am going to accept the job offer. HR called today and offered $1/hr more and emailed me the insurance details. It is SO much better than what we can get through DH's work. Some aspects are even better than at my last job. It is an HMO, but all of our current providers are in network and there is no deductible or out of pocket :cool1: It will cost $100/week which is more than we were paying at my old job, but no deductible should make up for it quickly. They also give bonuses based on the companies profitability (an oil company :rolleyes1) That has proven to be $5000-$6000 for last year's employees. I cannot see a down side. I am so happy, relieved, excited... I will start next Thursday. Insurance won't kick in until May 1st so I will postpone Hunter's MRI until after the new insurance kicks in.

Sorry I've been MIA lately. It's book fair time again and we have a big game show night at school on Friday. All hands on deck for that one. I'll be glad when it's over.

I've been off plan and haven't worked out since the 14th. I need to get back on track. Of course I say that as I feel a sinus infection coming on. I really hope it's just allergies.

DS14 started Track last week. He's running the 400 and the 200. He's getting beat by his coach! LOL The short distance coach is also the football coach so he is doing football conditioning. I really hope DS can run the 5K in May, he's in a lot of pain after practice every day.

I hope to hit the treadmill soon or get out there while the weather is good to get on the track.

My mini goal is to get some kind of exercise in every day at Disney.

Thanks guys.

I had an aha moment today. After I had decided to accept the job and it finally sunk in, the stress and tension lifted. I was ready to committ to getting healthy again. I wanted to go out and take a walk though I didn't have time. We are away this weekend which will make it very hard for me to completely committ, but I will start now and next Monday it's ON!!!

you go girl!!!

boo! i really want to get tangled. it would totally be for ME and not my under two year old son ;)

 feel better! have you tried a gargle with warm salt water. it never sounds like it will work but i really swear by it!

****
i feel like i haven't done enough personals on here. hi kathy! rose! dona! disneyweddings! lindsay! lisa! dave! buzz! cc! BAMB! bungle! sheesh this group is huge! and we're all going to be so skinny :)

Dave

**Okay.... I finished up this post and hit "save"... and for some reason I lost everything!

Morning everyone!

I hope everyone has a good day. I don't have a lot in mind to do today. I've got homework to get completed, need to go to Sam's Club, and that's about it. I'm hoping we have a better day today then yesterday. Ever since I got back from Florida on Monday night its been COLD here. What the heck is going on? I wanna go back to Florida it was beautiful and like 80 degrees :lmao:.
