I find stories like this amazing. All of the women they show are very attractive. If these woman define large behinds what does that mean for the rest of the country? These women are probably at healthy weights as opposed to the waifs in Hollywood/Modelling.

It seems though like they are presenting it as a good thing to have a bootilicious behind? I didn't read it as negative?

On a related note - I always wonder when they are saying so-and-so is looking fat how much they really weigh. For example, Kelly Clarkson was on So You Think You Can Dance last night and she was looking more 'normal' sized than say Brittney Spears, but I bet she weight maybe 140/145...which in reality is a pretty OK weight (depending on height of course, but say she is 5'6 or so) for a 'normal' person. When Brittney was 'so fat' she probably weighed less than most of us have since our teens!! It must be easier to call someone fat when the 'average' is a size 2! I can't imagine what it would be like living in Hollywood or thereabouts - talk about an inferiority complex....you would never want to wear shorts or go swimming - you probably couldn't even find clothes in a size bigger than an 8 LOL.

I would agree with that but the examples of what constitutes a large booty are not exactly large. Jennifer Biel having a large booty. I don't think so.

It's a fashion statement type thing. Uggs were made popular by Australian surfers to keep their feet warm when they got out of the water. The trend spread to California and now it is quite common to see people in shorts/bathing suits and Uggs. I live on the east coast and there are many girls that wear them with short skirts/shorts/swimsuits. Yeah it looks stupid, but there are many trends that do as well.

I hate stories like this, especially for my DD 9 to see. God forbid a grown woman have hips and a butt. My DD is slim but athletically built, and she's got a booty that someday will get her some attention, I think. For now, she is beginning to feel self conscious even though she is the perfect weight for her height. (she's just about 5'1" and 120 lbs)
