Bigger ships and excursion availability

Does anyone have any information about excursions with the new bigger ships? I'm just wondering if Disney has increased the number of excursions offered or increased the size of the groups to accomodate the higher number of cruisers.

We are cruising on a 4 night Bahamian cruise and I don't know whether I should book a room at the Atlantis to have access to the water park area or take the chance of waiting until the 90 day mark to book through Disney directly (which we prefer to do).

Any thoughts or information?
