Okay, we are going to be in Floridia the last two weeks of January. As it stands right now we will have my aunt (wheelchair), my grandmother (wheelchair and been there before), my two brothers (12 and 8 and NOT a first time trip by any means), my mom and dad (both Disney vets), me and on the weekend one of my friends. Now my brother in law, sister and baby are planning on coming down sometime in there. When I really don't know. Any tips for parks? We are staying off prop. but I was just wondering if there were any tips for such a large group. At the peak there should be 11 (one of which will be 7/8 months)...two in wheelchairs and one most likely in arms or stroller.

My only tip is to have lots of patience. We've been with large groups (there will be 11 of us on our trip in 2 weeks) and it's SLOW going with so many. Don't be afraid to split up for part or all of the day either. It is great to go with so much family and friends, but you are not nearly as manueverable (sp?) with that many.

I say to have a game plan in mind. We did the parks with my sister and her family for a day last week and we got almost nothing done. Everyone was saying "what do you want to do" and nothing was getting done at all!! A couple people wanted to stop at every gift shop and that was flustrating for the others. I say to set a few key attrations that you all want to do and then split into common goal groups and meet back together for meals ect. That seems to work better. Have fun and take lots of pictures.

we did this last week with a large group (18 I think), at MGM we split up and the little kids (and parents :) ) went one way, and the thrill seekers went another, and we met back up for the parade followed by Indiana Jones.

at Epcot we all stayed together, but we just meandered around teh World Showcase and did each country in order, so there wasn't a great deal of 'what shall we do next', since their is only really one obvious way to do it.

We had a great time on both occassions but they weren't commando days, they were definitely days to be with our friends, we went to the parks again on other days to really hit the rides and do what we wanted to do.

my goodness that is a large group.....yea just remember have patience and have a good time...since there are gonna be so many of you, you are all gonna wanna do your own things so make sure everyones needs are met and have a GREAT TIME!!!!

Any resturant tips?

We have pretty much decided that we are all going to stay together because it gets to confusing with little ones as to who has who and pretty much what the kids want to do is what we will be doing. Grandmother and Auntie made that statement. It is really rather easy with the kids that are going to be there because they are more into the adult stuff then half the adults we know so Grandmother and Auntie should have no problem with getting bored or anything like that and in turn the adults are just big kids so...Grandmother and Auntie will be more then happy to ride Winnie the Pooh in exchange for getting to see something at EPCOT again or whatever.

Are there any ways we can help two people who do not walk well up to the monarail at the ticket center? They both will need wheel chairs to get through the park but they do not have their own. Is there any way to do that?

if they have disabled parking badges, then I believe they have loaner wheelchairs that you can use between the carpark/ttc and the park where you would rent one for the day.

My mil was there recently and I'm sure that's what she said she did (we weren't there at that time, and she is easily confused, lol, but I'm pretty certain that's right)
