Big Thunder

I was looking at the Oct schedule (waste of time they STILL have not posted any hours) but discovered to my HORROR that Big Thunder is scheduled for a refurb starting Oct 2nd. Can someone who can figure out how, tell me how long the refurb is scheduled for? They used to just have a list of refurbs and dates on the Disney website, but now it looks like they do their best to hide that information. It will take me a while to get over that loss if it's not going at all while I'm there from 18th to 26th Oct!

I see Big Thunder down on the website under the daily schedule. As said, park hours aren't up yet but I see BTR down Monday 10/2 thru to Sat at the moment.
I had on my schedule to check out for a Splash Mtn closure as it went down on that Monday last year so maybe this year it is BTR.

We're there the 7th to the 13th and it's my son's favorite. Fingers crossed!

That's my hope to if that's the case. We also arrive the 1st and last time we went 4 years ago it was closed our entire trip. So my kids haven't ridden it and were looking forward to.

On the Disneyland website the daily hours show BTMRR being closed through at least 10/07/2017. Hope it reopens when you're there, I know I'd be bummed to miss it!

Hey everyone. I checked the DL interactive map, and it shows Big Thunder closed from 10/2 to 10/19. Bummer, looks like I'm going to miss it during my October trip.

I hope they get this up and running earlier than Oct. 19. One of my favourite things to do is ride Thunder Mountain while the fireworks are going.

DGD rode for the first time in June (she is now 4) and loved it.
We arrive back Oct. 1, but her Daddy doesn't have a ticket for that day. She wanted him to ride with her. He hasn't been in 30 years!

it was just down for 4 days earlier this month. We rode it twice the morning it came back and the 'smoke' effect did not work either time.
