I was reading about the recent refurbishment to WDW's Big Thunder Mountain and it mentioned something about "...and the rock projection was somehow set to project rocks floating up and down at the same time." As many times as I've ridden the ride, I have no idea what the rock projections are. Can anyone tell me? And if it's the earthquake "effect" going up that hill, I'm going to feel really stupid.

There has always been a rock or two "floating" on a blasted jet of water in the Yellowstone-inspired section of the ride. Is that what you're referring to? ...and the earthquake is inside in the mine tunnel while you are climbing uphill.

Thats what I was thinking too...
