Ugh, this was a tough one for me, because I have a deep abiding love for the Matterhorn (and am so sad it will be closed when I'm there at the end of June!), but I do have to admit that Big Thunder is the better ride.

Big Thunder has always been one of our favourites...I always end up with a headache after the Matterhorn.

Matterhorn, the ride is exhilarating! This was actually my first ride ever at Disneyland when I was 5. Mom said I was too short to ride on the measurements. But somehow got on anyway. Everyone was pointing up at me, “Look at that little girl!” I like the location of it, like the single rider lines you can go over and over again, and like the cool Air you feel when you’re rushing through, like you are in the Swiss Alps. We love to laugh and pretend we are scared of the Yeti also! I will admit, it gives me a headache too!

I love both! Matterhorn is a bit more jerky than Thunder, but really fun!
I usually opt for single rider, which with a shorter line, I am all for that!

I voted Matterhorn as it’s more of an OG but I love both!!

I chose Big Thunder, but I really enjoyed Matterhorn. It is sad to see and hear that it is in such need of repairs

Big Thunder is easily my favorite ride at Disneyland. It is the quintessential thrilling themed roller coaster.

Love the Matterhorn (although it always seems to be down when we are there) but Big Thunder is the clear winner between the two. It is the WILDEST ride in the WILLLLLLLLDERNESS after all lol.

Big Thunder for me, particularly love been up the back. Matterhorn is great but cramped and jerky so my wife can’t ride it (because of the jerkiness) and sharing the fun with someone you love just makes a Ride that little bit better . Mind you, always preferred BTM PW (pre wife) anyway.

Thunder Mountain is my favorite ride in the whole park!!!! Feels longer too... what a ride!
