Big Thunder Mountain in the 90s: HELP!

Hi all,

not sure if this is real or something I made up but back in 1996 I'm sure my grandfather tried to take me on BTM but I didn't meet the height requirements, I distinctly remember a cast member giving me a fake piece of gold and a piece of paper though as a souvenir.. was this a thing or did I completely make it up?

I have tried searching and searching for it and can't find it or any info on this.

would appreciated anyones help!

Not sure about the fake gold, but the certificate was probably for a future ride when tall enough.
