I've heard if you time it just right, Wishes looks spectacular from BTMR. We booked a FP+ for BTMR from 9-10pm when we go in March.

Has anyone does this and can share timing/experience suggestions?

DH & I rode BTMR during wishes a few years ago and we lucked out on on the timing as we did not have a FP; it was amazing to be going along the track with the fireworks lighting up the sky overhead - I would chalk it up to one of those hidden gems that adds an extra touch of Disney Magic and a great way to end off the night! A must do if you can time it right!

We have done both Splash and BTMRR during Wishes and both were awesome, but now that they have the show on the castle before Wishes, we never miss watching them from in front of the castle. The two combined bring tears to my eyes every time, even if we watch them on consecutive nights.

We're in MK for 4 of our planned days, so thanks for that tip! We'll see if we can catch the preshow on the other nights.

We did the Goofy rollercoaster and it was awesome. DD just loved watching them as we were on the ride.:goodvibes

Yep any hidden gems and magic touches make each trip memorable!

We actually plan on being on either Splash or Big Thunder during whatever fireworks show is going on every vacation we make to either Disneyland or MK. It's a family tradition for us actually. Best time to ride either of those attractions!

Too bad Splash Mountain will be under refurbishment!

This is one of my favorite things to do. We did it accidentally in Oct 2011 and made sure we repeated it on our last trip. I like the ride itself much better at night and adding Wishes in the background is amazing. Doesn't hurt that everyone is watching the fireworks by the castle and you can get back on the ride with no waiting.:goodvibes

We just happened to be on BTMRR during Wishes last trip - it was one of my favourite parts of the trip.

Same here. It's not something we planned, it was a very happy accident. I love Big Thunder anyway but there's something awesome about riding it in the dark and catching a bit of Wishes.
