Big Thunder closed next spring?

I just compared two websites and one has BTMR closed from April to July 2016. But the other site doesn't list it on its upcoming rehabs and closures. Anyone know for sure?

Yes, I'm pretty sure it will be undergoing refurbishment next spring.

I'm not sure about 2014, but I believe the rumor is that it will get the same enhancements that Big Thunder got at Disneyland

Where does this website get its information from, since the official Disney site and all other unofficial sites I looked at don't list it as being closed??

We are going in June and taking extended family for the first and maybe only time. I'll be so sad if they miss this!

We are going the second week of May as well. This is very disappointing!! Glad we rode it when we were there in 2014. I was planning on having this as one of our FP. Guess I will be choosing something else

Hopefully it will be open by Sept...this is the only "thrill" ride my DD will ride. She won't even go on splash - she'd be so bummed!

She hasn't yet...but, yes, she'll definitely go on that. But, Thunder is her fave - so hopefully it will be back open.

I'm heading back to WDW with the family in early April. Am I wrong assuming (after perusing the boards) that both BTMR and Soarin' are likely to be down?

She hasn't yet...but, yes, she'll definitely go on that. But, Thunder is her fave - so hopefully it will be back open.

If they are adding the same enhancments as they have at DLR your DD will love it even more!!

We loved what they added to BTMRR at DLR as it is one of our all time fav's. It is always the last ride we go on before we leave the parks to head home.

I agree, I was out at DL in August, it was really cool! There's an explosion in the last tunnel.

Ugh. I didn't know about Soarin. I thought it was staying open during the expansion. That sucks! Two big rides!

False, "Soarin' will close for refurbishment beginning January 4, 2016 and shall reopen in the summer of 2016."
