Big Thank You to this board

I just want to say " Thank You " to everyone on this board. My family has taken 2 Disney Cruises and another booked for 2005, and I have been reading this board since 2000. 3 weeks ago my mother passed away unexpectedly and it's been a rough time for my family and I. I came back to the boards about a week ago, and reading these boards have brought up my spirits again. Thank you again, and keep up the good work (Verandah Man, Dave, Barb, & BD)

I too am so sorry to hear of your loss, I'm glad if I could be of service towards your recovery, and helping you deal with your loss.

The excitement of Nate and his Family sailing yesterday, helped me to not dwell on the one year anniversary of my dad's passing. It was nice to focus on the good of the day, and not dwell on the unpleasant.

Andy, I lost my father 36 years ago yesterday. I was just a child, 9 years old. Every September 6th I still think about how he missed out on us growing up and how he never had the chance to be a grandpa. My mother did a great job raising us and I pray my husband and I will have to opportunity to raise our children and see our grandchildren.

Jackie, whenever you need a friend, you know we are here. May the wonderful memories of your mom ease your pain.

Holy Cow Joanna, you are almost as old as me, I wouldn't go spreading that around!!!

Isn't it nice when we can look on the positive things in life, and not dwell on the negative.

I know right now I could dwell on the pain and suffering my step-father is causing our family, but instead, I'm rejoicing that my mom will soon be moving to Florida, staying with her cousin, and begin a new life for herself. She truly deserves many years of happiness!!!

I'm just glad we were able to get her away last month on that cruise. It's the best she has felt in a "VERY LONG TIME!!!"

Ahhh, Andy, ALMOST. That is the key word. DH is however your age. The three of you will be celebrating your 50th together.

Awww...Thanks Peter, that was so nice of you to say. We really enjoyed meeting you and Jenn also. By the way, when you rebook on board this year, think about the 8/28/04 cruise.

I am very sorry for your loss. My mother (who was also my best friend) passed away this past spring. Her death was also unexpected and tough to deal with. It does get easier. Some days are better than others. I also found the Disboards to be a wonderful distraction. There is so much great information to be had here as well as entertainment. I have found some wonderful people here. I wish you and your family the best in this sad time. Keep your mind on your next Disney cruise and a smile in your heart. God bless.

Just think of age as roller coaster ride. It has ups and downs, goes around in circles, put it really is fun!!!!!
