Just curious about how much gas everyone keeps on hand for their portable generator when a big storm is coming?
We are waiting for the latest blizzard to hit and prepared a bit for possible power outages.
I filled our generator and think we have about 25 gallons of extra gas on hand for that as well as the snowblower. Sounds like a lot, but in the past we have lost power for a week at a time. Running the generator will allow us to have heat during any power loss. We have also had gas stations not be able to pump the gas after an extended outage so we are prepared for that too.
What about you? How much do you keep?
