Big Screen Classic Christmas... can't wait!

I just bought tix for FI and I to see 'It's a Wonderful Life' (the original one) on the big screen this Sunday. He has never seen it and wants to and what better way than on the big screen at an old fashioned movie house.

WHAT!??!?!?!? Someone hasn't seen "It's a Wonderful Life"!?!??!?

Just kidding. I think that would be a great movie to see at the theatre. I'd have to bring a large box of tissues with me, though. I watch that movie EVERY year and I cry at the end of it EVERY year!

DBF and I are going to see it at our theatre on Saturday the 19th. It's his favorite Christmas movie. And one other good part about it - admission is "free" with a non-perishable food donation! I've already made up two bags of food for us to take!

I met Jimmy Stewart once and got his autograph on a book he wrote (with short stories including one about his dog). The people at the book store said that it was the longest line they had ever seen. My mom met him (& his lovely wife Gloria) several times. He was a great man and a true, *true* hero.

I think that "It's A Wonderful Life" has saved more lives than anybody will ever know.

I love Jimmy Stewart truly a great actor and greater person. Its such a shame that there is no one that can hold a candle to him

I did a search for the Houston area and no such luck.
