Big runDisney announcement coming in April

The 5k night race sounds fun.

If you like spending $100 to run 3 miles. If Disney is truly trying to cater to women in the Disneyland area, then most of them probably already have a pass to Disneyland, so they wouldn't need a "Twlight Ticket"

Disney did the same thing on Orlando with the WIne & Dine last year with the Mickey Halloween 5K, it was $100 and came with a ticket to the event, but you couldn't get a lower rate if you didn't/couldn't use the ticket.

I really don't get why they had to have it when they did so close to the other races, but I guess its a good chance for those doing Wine & Dine to spread out the chances for a coast to coast.

There is also the opportunity for a relay in this race, which I am sorry, $120 for a 10k, um no thanks....if I am reading the costs correctly.

I don't see what benefit they are giving their FB fans though, JUST early registration, like its going to fill up?

It is a great opportunity though for women on the west coast who can't afford a trip across the country for the princess.

What exactly did that cracked teapot with the Mary Poppins bird have to do with anything?

Would love to do it though, but it is not happening with it so close to the princess and I want to do that one again one more time.

I thought I read somewhere in the comments that the pot was ebcause tinker fairies fix broken things (like the cracked pot). I'm going with you'd have to be a crack pot to run this and the WDW marathon weekend races. :rotfl:

Also, the maps of the two cali parks form the teapot when smushed together. I guess the bird represents the thousands of air miles racers will log travelling in January and February.

The bird was a reference to "Little White Bird", a novel where the story of Peter Pan first appeared.

On the plus side, one of the Half Fanatics qualifying criteria is three half-marathons in 90 days, so running WDW, DL, and Princess would get you qualified for that and also earn you a Coast to Coast medal. :cool1:

Please don't put ideas into my head....

I am so disappointed in this new race. The timing, the distance, the theme and the location. I was really hoping to be a part of an inaugural year of a race, but it won't be this one. :sad1:

I LOVE IT. We can call it the "Crackpot Coast to Coast"

Competitor has three new races this year, including one in St. Louis, and after today they are looking better and better. At least that organization is inclusive.

How did you get to this info? I watched the video from their FB page and saw the end where it said to click the runDisney logo "above" to see the details, but I don't see a logo to click anywhere...what am I missing???

Question - in order to get a coast-to-coast medal, is it two races within the same calendar year, or two within 12 months?

The run disney logo at the top of the clue box with the video in it. It takes you to the registration page on run disney's wwos website here.

Not as cool as I thought it would be...:( Not sure if I will go for it or not. One Princess race a year is good for me. Two is a bit overkill. But, being so close to WDW Marathon weekend, they will lose a lot of people at one coast or the other. Not sure about their decision process.

Well that's bizarre because I'm still not seeing a logo...I wonder why???? This is more frustrating than the stupid clues!!!! :headache:

Thanks. I'll definitely look into the one in St. Louis since it's only a 4 hour drive.

By the way, LOVE your earlier post! :thumbsup2

Sorry new to thread. What does FB stand for? Also, I'm looking to run a Disney half or less for the first time. Any recommendations as to which one would be the best?
