I haven't heard too much about this restaurant. Anybody have an opinion on it? Good, bad, whatever? Trying to decide between here or Spoodles for our night on the boardwalk!

It's the place for beer, I had the Steamboat Pale Ale and they have several other wonderful varieties. They even have a beer sampler. The beer/cheese soup, all be it not like Le Cellier, is quite good. We ate there Jun11th, good steaks, great beer, really good mahi/mahi. Can be a little loud like all other Disney Dining Venues, we like it, eat there each time we're at the Boardwalk!

It's ok for us. We thought it was to small inside and the air wasn't cool enough so it was a bit hot and musty. The nachos are good, though!

OK....not so bright today....I just saw your ticker and you will be there in 5 days time. So, Spoodles will be open as usual.

Carry on....ignore me.

My mom and I ate lunch here in March. We sat outside as the weather was nice and it wasn't busy at all. Food was good, I had a cheeseburger and she had a chicken sandwich, both came with potato chips. Both sandwiches were big for a lunch portion. We would definately eat there again.:)

After several poor experiences at BRG, we won't go back. Had poor service and food. Even after sending things back it still wasn't done correctly. Add long waits for the server to attend to basic things.

I know some people love it for the beer, so I'd suggest going there if that's your priority. But if you are looking for good food and good service, try one of the other places nearby such as ESPN or the Dolphin Fountain.

Horrible food, been there several times...due to the location and wanting to give them a second chance.

We liked it...the steak was good. the chocolate cake and cheese cake desserts are fanastic.
:thumbsup2

I have been there before and loved it! I ordered the Salmon and it was amazing! It was cooked perfectly. I think my bf ordered the burger and he liked his as well. While it is a little small it is in the perfect location. I loved going to the boardwalk because it is an attraction in itself and most people don't realize there is so much to see at the boardwalk. I would definitely go back and eat there again.

This is our second choice, since Spoodles will be closed :( when we arrive in August. I've read so many conflicting reviews -- is it safest to just order a burger or is there something else that is consistently good?

I go at least once every trip for lunch. The food is pretty good bar type food (and much, much better than ESPN, which is atrocious), the beers are quite good and the service has always been fine. Well worth trying out if you have never been there.

We've been a couple of times and we like it too. It was good food and a nice atmosphere.
Good Luck

We would go back if:

We wanted to dine outside and people watch.
or
We were in the mood for just a beer and a burger.
or
We couldn't get in anywhere else in the area.

Not remarkable food. Service has not been great on any of our previous visits. Much better food available in the nearby Epcot resort area.

Still, it beats the heck out of dining at ESPN....

I've eaten at both and food is far better at Spoodles. The food at BRG is decent, I don't think is as bad as some people make it out to be. And their beer is just OK as well. Being at the Boardwalk you have access to so many good restaurants, I would skip BRG.

Also, Spoodles is great for breakfast.

We love it. We go *every* trip, sometimes twice in a trip. Food is good "pub grub", handmade ales are delicious, it's family friendly AND they have tables right out on the boardwalk, makes for a great atmosphere if you can get a seat outside overlooking the lake.

Just returned and thought it was fantastic! We walked in around 12:30 with no wait. DH loved it so much we wanted to go back again our final night but the kids were too pooped out.

When Spoodles closes will the Pizza take out window also be gone? I'm assuming so but thought I would ask.

We ate here just over a week ago.

The Good:

-Location! We got a pager for a table and then were able to wander over to watch a magic show while we waited. The kids loved this!
- We got to sit inside (it was HOT), but by the window so we could see the Epcot fireworks
-DH liked the beer sampler
-DH's shrimp was really good!
-The service was really pretty good. Attentive and friendly staff all-around.

The not-so good:
-My chicken was not so good. Very dry and bland.
-DH's steak was the same...kind of dry and bland. For the price, it could have been better.
-I thought the kids' meals were really overpriced (can't remember exactly what the price was) but it seemed excessive for Uncrustables :)

Overall, it was fine, but we would try another location on the Boardwalk, or in the nearby resorts, before going back to BRG. For the price, we could have gotten a better meal somewhere else.
