Big River Grille

Can anyone give me info on Big River Grille? I tried to do a search but wasn't able to get it to work. Trust me, I tried.

I'm just wondering what the theming is like and most importantly, how the food is. My DH is a huge blackened mahi mahi fan, and they offer it as a sandwich. He'll want to deconstruct it and have it on a plate, but since I don't know if we could get the mahi mahi blackened (like the catfish) at Coral Reef and haven't been able to secure an ADR there anyway, this may be a way around it.

We want to switch one of are ADR's to Big River Grill but you have to wait till 30 days out to make ADr's for that place I heard. If the food ia bad I'll wash it down with a great beer.

They also own 7 Bridges here in Jax with an expanded menu. The one on BW is small, so they don't have as large of a menu. Brew their own beer & I had an excellent margarita there while DH drank beer (ok, I had several). Good meatloaf.

If all you are after is beer, then go ahead with BRG. OTOH, if you expect good service and food then try someplace else. ESPN is nearby and offers similar menu items (but better prepared) and good service.

Oh, and the beer list is pretty good at ESPN too.

I love the Beer Cheese Soup at BRG. Not a beer or even alcohol lover. But love the soup. Makes that soup at Le Cellier everyone raves about seem watery and whimpy. Guess I like a stout soup!
DH recommends their mahi mahi sandwich. Sometimes I just get soup and a salad. Although anything we have eaten there we have never complained about. The service has always been good too.

We love Big River. We have always had good food there, and especially good beer.

Atmosphere is modern, light wood/brushed chrome. We have a blast every time we go there.

What is there web address, want to go there next month, could use a coupon since DDP doesn't cover an app. or if you are on the DDP is a coupon not allowed?
