Anyone have any recent reviews? Any place I could find an updated menu? Deb's site has one from 8/06.

We had lunch at Big River Grille on Monday April 9th, 2007. You must really like beer (which I do!!) to enjoy this restaurant. Well maybe it just helps!

A beer to start us off (and there are some awesome choices!), we choose the pale ale. Very tasty, smooth with a lighter than usual head:thumbsup2 .

We started our meal with the beer cheese soup apps. Very tasty and hot!

I decided to try the beer flight to get the scoop on the selections. You get 7 different beers served in 6 oz. glasses;) . I enjoyed all, but was especially impressed by the I.P.A., probably the best craft I.P.A. I've ever had! (and I've had a few) Good consistant flavor, mellow hops, not too creamy and firm head. This brew deserved a second taste, so I ordered a pint:thumbsup2 .

We all were in the mood for a burger and they didn't disappoint! Good quality, cooked just the way we asked! The service was outstanding, and I suggest requesting a table near the brew works and bar. A cool view of the boardwalk, brew works and a few TV's.

We plan on a return trip and I would recommend this spot to any beer lover in the group!!

We visited Big River Grille on our trip last week. Great meal, good service, loved the beet flights. We both had steak-which was done to our liking. I really enjoyed the jalapeno cheese dip with tortilla chips. Both our kids deveoured their meals (mac & cheese and grilled cheese) which says a lot since they eat like birds.

I think I would like "beer" better. I've never been a big fan of beets!:rotfl2: Seriously, thanks for the reviews. We are planning to eat here our first night at WDW. Do you remember if they had any appetizers and desserts on the kid's menu? Allears doesn't show any.

BTW-"loved the beet flights" should be your new tag.

I dont drink beer but DH does ( and we both hate beets) . It sounds like the food is good though. I have 17 days till I can make ressies and I having trouble with narrowing it down.

Sounds like this might be a good choice. Anyone else?

One thing you need to know is that you don't make the ADR for here through the WDW dining number. Big River's number is 407-560-0253. I know because I just called them a couple days ago to make a priority seating(that's what they call it) and to confirm that they will be accepting the DDP in Sept.

OHHHH! Good to know! I just assumed they were through Disney and the DDP was accepted. How far in advance do they book? Did they accept the DDP?

I don't know how far in advance you can book. Our trip is in Sept. and there was no problem booking for that time. Yes-they said they just agreed to accept the DDP for the coming year. I can't wait. DH and I both love a good brew.:drinking1

For a place we seemed to avoid most of our trips because of lack of feedback we went ahead and tried it last visit because everything else in the area was closed for lunch by 3:00. We were pleasantly surprised that we had quite a good lunch. I had the pecan crusted chicken salad which was very good. My dd enjoyed the grilled cheese here and my dh had one of the sandwiches. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I thought I had read that they won't be participating in the DDP anymore. Not sure if it's true or not.

We do not drink alcohol and we love BRG! We have lunch there; it's an easy boat ride from MGM or Epcot, and if you sit outside you have a relaxing view of the lake and Epcot resort. We've eaten there twice now, and it's on the schedule for the next trip. My dad loves the BBQ pork sandwich, and the homemade chips are awesome. We've always had great service, too. If you are looking to have a relaxing meal without all the characters and kids and typical Disney craziness (while I love it, sometimes you need a break), then BRG is a great choice!!

Thanks for the reviews. We are thinking about eating here during our trip in June.

Anyone had the New York Strip here?

I'm from Iowa and I have to say that nothing beats our beef here (at least none I've had) so, I'm not expecting the greatest steak ever, just something decent.

We both had the NY Strip and it was good. Not the best but really good.

Not sure who asked but I don't recall any kids apps. And thanks for all the remarks about the "beet" flights. Teach me to proof read. :rotfl2:

The beer flights were great, by the way! :upsidedow

As far as the ADR's in advance, we called around 11 that morning and were able to get one. When we showed up there was an hour+ wait and that was during April school vacation. We got there about 30 minutes early, planned on checking in and walking around. They seated us in 5 minutes.

I have pictures from here (last September) elsewhere on the DIS. It was our first TS on the trip- not bad but probably our least favorite.

We were there for dinner on New Years Eve. Had a great meal and the beer flight was great too.
