Does this place still exist? I don't hear anyone talking about it anymore.

It definately still exists and it is still a great place to stop and relax!

It better still exist, I have reservations late November!

Ive never been, but plan on spending the late afternoon strolling around the boardwalk, so thought this would be a good spot.

Strangely it does still exist. Its hard to understand with all the better choices available near by.

If we're staying at S/D and I'm not hungry but DH is, he likes to just pop over for a burger. And I'll get beer. :drinking1

There isn't much worth mentioning, I think it's a place you stop at if nothing else is available. ;)

Good beer can be found at many places right there on the Boardwalk or next door in Epcot. It takes more than beer to make a place worth going back. How about some good food, good service and a clean table?

We were there last week. We ordered the top sirloin (which was as tender as a filet) and the mahi-mahi. We loved both entrees. The beer is fabulous as well. Walked up and was told there was a 45 minute wait, so we watched a magician on the Boardwalk to pass the time and were called within 15 minutes. Great place to go.

I just called on this place and they said no reservations? Was I told wrong?

how far in advance are you calling? they take what they call priority seating, but you have to call them direct no more than about 2 months in advance

Good to know! Is there just a bar area? can you go in just for a beer, rather than sitting a table for food?

Yes. There is a bar you can sit at and just drink the beer.

Put me on the list of people that like this place. I go at least once every trip. The food is not outstanding, but is very good "bar type" food (especially compared to some of the choices in the area, such as the ESPN Club, which has truly horrid food).

:cool1: :hippie: I thought you couldn't make reservations or what they call priority seating till 30 days in advance we were thinking of switching Chefs De France (which we do have ADR's for) for Big River last week this September because we have not been to this restaruant yet. But if reservations have been made I see in November I must be wrong with the 30 days. Should I be making reservations now and what is the phone # I also heard that they have their own # but I may be wrong here also.:confused3

Thank You we are going Aug 30 Saturday. There is barely no TS places available, but I found on the blog that they have DIamond horseshoe has a special family style dinner that we have res. for. But we are staying at Beach Club and I think we may just stay around there. So do you have a # that I can call to get the priority seating??

Thank You :flower3:

:cool1: :hippie: Here is a number you can try 407-560-0253 but if I got the 30 day thing wrong the number I got may also be wrong. If you give the number a try let us know if it works.

We stopped here for a drink and snack on our trip a few weeks ago. I thought the beer was good, but that was about it.

The food was not freshly made - it was something I could whip up at home (think hummus from a container at the supermarket).

There was no atmosphere, nothing special about it. I felt like I was in a TGI Fridays, which I am not a fan of.

It smelled weird at the bar (like a wet mop/cleaning materials) and staff was unprofessional.

Definitely not Disney.

I will not return.

If your looking for a decent beer along the Boardwalk it's your only choice. We stop in after Epcot closes once in a while.
