Big River Grill or Spoodles

Going in Sept. with free dinning. On our HS day, I was thinking on heading to the BW for dinner. How far it is from HS. Thought we would eat then head back for Fantasmic. There were really no place in HS that I wanted to eat. Will eat a CS there. What do you think the best CS is in HS? We are leaning towards Big River Grill, but they don't take reservations, so we might have to wait. I like the spoodles menu. Would love to sit and have a couple of glass of Sangria. so what are your thoughts.

I have been to both and have enjoyed the food at each. I love the Sangria at Spoodles! This trip we were going to go to Big River but decided on Spoodles because I wanted an ADR, I didn't want to wait with 3 kids at Big River. I'm going during Spring Break time, May is probably not as crowded but it depends on if you want to wait or not.

We like Spoodles better, we actually sent back food at Big River Grill and we eat most everything. And call me a beer snob (I do live in Colorado), their microbrew beer was sorely lacking.

I think I'm in the minority, but I don't really like Spoodles. I've eaten there twice - the first time was when they first opened back in the 90's and I had actual shards of glass in my food. Obviously that's not something that's likely to happen to anyone else, but it happened to me and I didn't have the desire to go back for more than a decade. This January my DH and I decided to do a night at the Boardwalk. We were down to BRG and Spoodles. We decided to give Spoodles a try. Neither one of us were really impressed. The food was ok, but nothing memorable. The service was also pretty slow. Neither of us are really interested in going back.

has anyone had the Rocket Red Ribs or the New York Oscar at Big River grille?

They are much more attractive / substantial to me than anything on the Spoodles menu which to me seems much to frou frou. I want beef.

I have an ADR for Spoodles but thinking of bagging it to go to Big River instead

I vote for Big River Grill.... Rocket Red Ribs YUM YUM
Sat on outside and really enjoyed the ambieance

We haven't tried it yet but hopefully this year in our next trip. Can't wait to try it.
