Big problem

I have a problem and I don't know what to do. My sis and I went to DW in September. Well the week we went happened to also be the same week that my morning sickness started. Now everytime someone talks about DW or I see something that reminds me of DW, I get sick. I know this sounds hilarious but I'm serious. For example, I bought a box of princess tissues to take along on our trip. I had to hide it under the bed when we got home because looking at it made me nauseous. We went to MNSSHP and got 2 bags of candy. I haven't eaten even one piece, I hid it in the attic in fact, because the thought of it makes me sick. My morning sickness is (hopefully) long gone, so it has nothing to do with that. I need to figure out how to overcome this though because DH decided last night that he wants to take this baby to DW when he/she is around 2 years old. Any suggestions anyone?

LOL - I wouldn't worry about it too much. With baby #1 my first bout of morning sickness came when I smelled red wine vinegar and even when I didn't have m/s anymore, that smell continued to make me gag all pregnancy. Same thing for coffee. But after the baby was born it went away. I think there is a part of m/s that is in our heads, too.

Maybe it is just those crazy pregnancy hormones. I could not stand the look or smell or taste of bubblegum when I was preg. w/ my 2nd DD. It was pretty bad. I'm still not crazy about it, but when I was preg.,it would gag me! Whoooo boy! I literally felt like grabbing out of strangers' mouths and flushing it down the toilet! :lmao: Hopefully your 'aversion' to Disney will calm down when the hormones do! Good luck!

I had the same problem with the floor cleaner they use in the Kohls near us. It made me sick up until about the time my baby was 6mos old. It doesn't bother me anymore!! Have faith...it will pass! :)

When I was pg w/#2 I used to put Bear in the Big Blue house on for my DD. We were at Disney when #2 was about 2. I was waiting for dh to come back w/the car rental and I put Bear on. Immediatly I got really, really nautious. I couldn't figure out what was going on. As soon as bear was over I was fine.

My son is 5 and I'm still afraid to put Bear back on!

I had that problem with kettle corn when I was pregnant with my oldest 7 years ago and to this day the smell still makes me nauseous.

This thread has me  . I'm sure your aversion will go away -- but I'm guessing it will take until 6 months or so after you have the baby! iNn the meantime, I would just say to avoid all things Disney if you can. Here's my story: Chicken has always been my absolute favorite meat and I used to eat it very regularly. When I was pregnant with my first DD, I had a total meat aversion during my 15 weeks or so (and total vegetable aversion...but that's another story). After the throwing up went away around 15 weeks, I could eat meat again but no chicken at all -- the taste, smell and even thought of it made me gag. It took probably 6 - 8 months after I had DD before I could eat chicken again and started eating it regularly again. With my second DD 3 years later, no aversions whatsoever (but I did crave ceasar salads my entire pregnancy!). Hormones are very strange! Congrats on the pregnancy!

I had the same thing with our dogs!! 2 brand new Rottie puppies and a week later we find out I'm pregnant. Then, I get "blessed" with hyperemesis gravidarum (fancy term for non-stop, entire pregnancy vomiting:sick: ) The biggest trigger was our puppies. Not just their smell, but the sound of their collars and even the mention of them....yecchh! I was talking on the phone to my friend and she casually asked about how the pups were doing...I had to drop the phone and barely made it to the sink before I exploded! My DH picked up the phone and asked her if she'd mentioned the D-O-G-S. She was shocked that a simple question could turn me into a vomit-shooter!:rotfl:

Slowly, the trigger subsided. I still get a little nauseated from some odors that were familiar around that time. DH used a particular brand of shower gel that sickens me to this day....although I am not sure the pregnancy has anything to do with that.:lmao: You might retain some aversion to Disney stuff, but it won't be nearly as strong as when you are pregnant and it WILL subside. Hang in there!

LMAO...I'm almost 7 months now...and went to DisneyWorld when I was 3.5 months...and about a week after I got home is when my morning sickness finally stopped...
But..I can relate...because I still can't THINK of Moes Mexican (any other mexican food is fine) without getting nauseous... and I used to eat it once a week!! Also...I have this thing when I see a public toilet I gag. Never bothered me before getting pregnant (and this is my 3rd!!)...
I'm hoping this goes away after the baby is born too... Have faith :)

When I was pregnant with DS 22 mo. I could not stand this commercial they played ALL THE TIME.... It was a guy eating a steak and the song playing in the background was "Eat steak, eat steak, eat a big ol' steak, Eat steak, eat steak, eat a big ol' steak....." If I heard the commerical or even saw the guy with the TV on mute I would get so sick! I would sit there with my eyes closed going "la la la la la la la la la..." Rest assured I will not have any problems eating steak or getting sick seeing steak when I am at DW in 2 weeks!!! It will go away it just may take some time.
