BIG problem, leave in 2 days, help!!!

Alright, folks, I pray that someone has an answer for me. I am due to leave on a road trip to Southern California in two days. We will drive from Southern Idaho through Las Vegas and then down to San Diego for two nights and end up at HOJO's on June 3rd with the entertainment rate for 4 nights. I went online and ordered my entertainment book on 5-12-08. I still had not received it when I checked the mail, so I checked the status of it online. Apparently, it went to the wrong town (my old town that we moved from 1.5 years ago). So, it was returned to sender I e-mailed entertainment and told them the situation and was willing to pay to overnight it or pretty much anything. No response, of course. I need this card to get my rate. I called all the bookstores in my town to see if anyone was selling a local entertainment book. Nada! So, please is there anywhere that you know of that I can go buy this book in Las Vegas, San Diego, or Orange County? Any ideas??? Maybe a disser would like to donate a card to me on June 3rd LOL Help!

Another place to look/call would be local banks & schools. That is who sells them around here and they may still have them.

Book cause we had planned to stay at HoJo's last month (we ended up staying somewhere else) The card was in my wallet but I must've took it out ~ I will look for it and let you know if I can find it. Did any of your family or friends buy a book?

Another vote for the bookstore. For the past two years, I've bought our Entertainment Books at Borders Bookstores here in Los Angeles. They always seem to stock them and probably have them discounted at this time of year. Good luck and enjoy your trip!

Hi, thanks!! We are close, but unfortunately, we are going through Nevada. So, super thanks for the offer, but we won't be near you on the way. No one has the book, because in Southern Idaho the entertainment book is unheard of. In fact, when I called today around to the bookstores only one person knew what it was

I am in Boise and we got our book at the Idaho Youth Ranch. They sell them there to raise money for kids.

In the past have seen the Entertainment Book everywhere in Boise...now that the year is half over they are harder to find.

Extremely sorry to hear about that. I'm always afraid something like this is going to happen to me a few days before my trip.

Ideas:

1. In WA, we have them in the local Walgreens. I saw them selling them in the Seattle (Greenwood) one last week. I don't know if you have Walgreens in your area, but it's worth a shot to call around.

2. I got mine this year on Craigslist. I had a local meet me at a Denny's where I purchased the book.

3. I googled "Entertainment Book Idaho" and along with a few ebay listings, The Discovery Center in Boise is apparently selling them. Maybe you can contact them and pick one up.

As you have already paid for a book you have not yet received why not contact the people you bought it off and ask them to resend it to the hotel, that way it will be there when you get there....

I suggest calling the Ent Book people and letting them know what has happened. Emails take time to answer but when I called them I got an answer right away and the CS rep helped me right then, got my Book mailed same day and I got it 2 days later! I work in CS too and when I get emails they are lower priority than phone calls so please call them!

I would contact HOJO and explain the situation even the order form saying that you ordered an entertainment book is sufficient enough, but I would check w/ the front desk. I remember going on the HOJO site and going under discussion board and there was a question about the ent rate but having ordered the book but not having it in time for the actual trip, go under discounts, then entertainment rate this is the question......and I put the answer

I think there might be an option to just get an online membership! Definitely ask their Customer Service people about that option. I believe a confirmation showing that you have, in fact, purchased it will be fine. Does it list your membership number on your confirmation, and show that it's been paid for?


That is exactly from the HOJO site-so I think its first try customer service or if you have a receipt that has your membership number on it, see if its acceptable w/ HOJO check in services.

I'm not sure if its too late now but this happened to us last year. What we did was we called the entertainment people rather than emailing them, we asked them to send the book over night delivery to the howard johnson hotel. We just had them put our room number on the address of the package adn when we arrived to Hojo's it was there waiting for us!

I would call Hojo directly in Anaheim and explain to them and see what they say.More specifically call or email Lorealle at their in house reservations.
I think they would understand.
