Big News?

um.... while I enjoy David Beckham as Prince Phillip ( ) I'm quite disappointed. This is the big news? :confused3

I love your picture! It's not every ay you get all those characters together. Anyway Toy story ride sounds cool but I could care less about these celebrities, and spare us Beyonce as Alice in Wonderland, LOL.

Ahh.. the many downfalls of being Disney obsessed. They got me all excited for this? Oh Disney you got me, but I could never stay mad at you :)

I just installed it too and I am very quickly uninstalling it. It's very bad.

Mine is crashed also. As soon as I rebooted from putting the Disney Links thing on my laptop, it is frozen solid.
:scared1:

I'm on my DD laptop until I feel like tackling THAT job...
:scared:

I'm not mad about the announcement, the pics are nice...but I just thought with the countdown clock and advertisements, we were in for a BIG announcement. It was an announcement, just not that big.
:confused3

'Sall cool though, still loving the Mouse!!

What did it announce actually? :confused3 I just see pictures of celebrities.

Exactly.
How does this qualify as an announcement?
Was the announcement that they took the pictures?

I still dont get it.
What is it announcing?

Under the pictures are short descriptions of things that can happen to you during YOAMD...no announcement by ANY means to Dis'ers...but maybe somebody out there didn't know about it.

I was speaking more about the new ride at MGM, but upon reflection I realize that info isn't on that page, so I guess technically they announced nothing new except some nice pics of some celebrities.
:confused3

Yeah...Disney didn't even talk about Toy Story Mania or the new Contemporary online service on there...:confused3

Wonder how long it will take to raise prices again. You know those celebs won't work for free.:rotfl:

Pretty dissapointing if you ask me.

David Beckham is nice to look at but I have never thought of celebrities when I think of Disney. The only "celebrity" I need is Walt Disney, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy & the rest of the gang. I don't "get" the campaign. I like to get away from the real world when I go to Disney. Sorry!

The new toy story ride sounds like fun though!!!!!!!!

DH and I are on the Disney weddings Web site as an "actual wedding." (I'm not kidding, we really are!) Where was my countdown when it was launched???
Actually, I'm kinda jealous of the celebs. At least the stories that accompany their pictures are in one tense and one tense only! I let Disney know a while back they butchered our story with going between third and first person ... its still the same.

Celebrities having their dreams come true? :happytv: WDW should be ashamed of calling such as this a "big announcement". The whole YOAMD is looking more like a big "so what" all the time.

I'll agree that the announcement seemed dissapointing... to us. I think we're pretty much in agreement that we're all BIG disney fans. It wouldn't take much more than the wind whispering Southwest Ding! to MCO to make us want to go.

I believe what Disney marketing was doing here was trying to drum up a response from the people who don't frequent the DIS. People who'd remember "Hey! Martha! Disney's having some sort of a Dream Giveaway - I saw where __(fill in celeb's name)__ got to be __(fill in dream role)__ . Let's Go!"

Not a bad marketing technique. We're just not the intended audience.

I can't even get onto the different sites, it keeps telling me they are too busy. :/

Couldn't of said it better twinklebug! People on the DIS know EVERYTHING about disney and this being big news? I don't think it qualifies for us!

No I still can't see that convincing anyway to want to go to Disney in the slightest. :confused3

'Oh great, there's a photo of David Beckham dressed as Prince Philip. Let's go to Disney World!'

don't blame yourself. and don't feel like a loser or an idiot. Unless of course, you are, but its has nothing to do with this thread. Besides, you only crushed the dreams of hundreds of people. Thats not many. There, feel better now. :)

TONS..:rotfl:

Oh well... hehehe
