My 4 year old and I made our "waiting for Disney" chain today, it is now 91 days away.
Yikes. Its really, really long.

I was feeling as time was passing quickly, and now every time I see that darn chain draped across my living room, I'm reminded how far away it really is!

Hopefully with the holidays in there, it will be here before I know it!

At least your chain is of managable size. If I made my chain, it would cover my entire house, upstairs and down :faint:. I'm sure with the holidays approaching, time will fly and that chain will disappear!:upsidedow

I'll have to keep that in mind....but will make very small loops :)

Don't worry....it will go fast! And by the way I see you are going to Pop....you'll love it!

I agree that with the holidays the time will pass very quickly. I can't believe it is already November!

Have a great trip!!!

We'll be there at the same time! My trip is 93 days away. :cool1: I'm sure those links will disappear quickly. :) We're not telling our DDs about the trip until Christmas morning. I'm going to wrap up a big box (with Dollar Tree Mickey paper, of course!) with some new sweatshirts, t-shirts, planning DVD, and a countdown chain, which will have 44 links.

Just think tomorrow is 90 days and before you know it you will be in the 80's count... its really not long at all!!!! Your trip will be here before you know it! :goodvibes If it was tomorrow then by next week it would be over and that wouldnt be any fun now would it?!?!?! Its something so sweet to look forward too! wishing you many happy days ahead! :)

My thoughts exactly:thumbsup2 We started a few weeks ago in the high 80's and now we are already mid 60's:banana: It does help to have all the holidays. And I totally agree, you took the words right out of my mouth, if you went tomorrow it would be over in an instant. Having a few months to plan extends the magic. Just being able to say, I am going to WDW and having a date is wonderful! Enjoy it:wizard: , it will be over before you know it:sad1:

I waited until ours was 34 days and made it....my boys are so excited every morning to tear it off.

The good thing is she will learn good things finally come to those who wait. It is a great patience lesson. My mom and dad told me 1 year before we went to Disney and I remember waiting and waiting and it finally came, so the lesson is there....not that it helps LOL

That's a lot better than if I made a chain for my next trip. I am at about 980 days. I will root for your 90 to go fast so mine will dip under 900 quicker!!

Almost with ya - we have 81 days! :sad1: Seems so far off...

Confession time...I started mine at 200 days. We are now down to 128 I think. I know we will hit double digits on December 5th. I'm thinking about getting one of those really small cookie cakes to celebrate double digit day!

It goes by quickly. Before we know the kids will be back in school from Christmas break and then it is all down hill until springbreak!!!!

90 days is forever, where as an adult it is just around the corner. I remember thinking that summer off from school was a long time. To us parents whose days are filled with things to do and TOO MUCH to accomplish they go by far more quickly than a little one who is challenged with something to keep them busy for the day. So when time flies by for us, it drags on for eternity for the little ones. 3 months to a little one probably seems like a year to us.:thumbsup2

Thats a great thought, I used to work at a place where everyone would say "I wish it was Friday", every SINGLE day!
Finally, one of our managers said "If it was Friday every day, you'd be dead in 10 years"

I guess I can wait, anticipation (and DISboards) is half the fun!

It will be here before you know it, especially with the holidays to get through. :santa: We booked our cruise a little over 100 days ago and they have FLOWN by!

Don't feel bad, when I was 15, I made one for my 16th birthday(which was 5 years ago) eeekkk...I really don't want to admit what my age is but anywho those 365 days went by faster than I that they would, I'm tempted to make some kind of calendar for the next 32 days but DF would kill me, if I made a paper chain, I'm thinking so kind of advent calendar. Don't worry it will go by fast, I remember when I was at like 400 days until my trip that is 32 days away and it went by so fast. 90 days is nothing, it will be here before you know it.

I've only got 19 days left, but to be honest, I almost envy you! The planning and preparation have been great to distract me when my work has been a drag. I'm going to be sad in less than a month when the trip is done and I don't have another one in sight.

I intend to enjoy every minute of the next 19 days! Good luck with your countdown and planning!

:joker:

I promise you it goes by really quick! When we started it was a lot than yours but it too seemed like forever...we started with 66 days and everyday DD would take one off.. it quickly got down to nothing!
I also color coded the weeks as it was easier to see from a glance that way.
Then the last week we made PINK for a Princess theme.

What a great idea! Sorry you're wait is longer than you'd like, but everyone is right and it will be here before you know it! We leave in less than a month, so I think we can handle a chain that short.

I totally agree. I have been planning our January trip since we got back this past January. We're down to 69 days! While I'm excited to get back to the World, I love all the planning, hunting and gathering, and anticipation. We probably won't be going back for a while. DS13 goes to HS next year so I don't know if it would be a good idea to take him out of school. We CANNOT stand the summer weather in FL if it's not on the beach, so I have to make every moment of this year count. It's a strange feeling be excited about something but not quite wanting it to come so soon!
