I think I will watch a few more weeks before I decide about this one. It may grow on me, but it wasn't a sure thing like Six Feet Under and Tony and the Boys. It was kind of slow, but maybe it just seemed that way coming after the Sopranos!!

I liked it. It's kind of like a trainwreck...you can't help but look. Bill Paxton's bare behind was a bit much for me to stomach, though. :)

I'm gonna keep watching. I set my Tivo to record all the episodes. It took me a while to get into a lot of the shows I watch. But I love Jeanne Tripplehorn, and the girl who plays the youngest wife is from Memphis...so I'm in for now.

Is it gonna be a Sunday night show?

I know! :scared1: I was watching and all of a sudden :scared:  :faint: I was like "Woah...naked Bill Paxton!"

We watched this tonight kinda by accident, but ended up liking it.. I set the tivo to record the season pass. I think it has alot of potential.

Eh.

Maybe it'll grow on me a little. I wasn't all that impressed with Six Feet Under right away, but I became hooked within just a few episodes. I'm definitely giving it a chance.

I really, really, really hope they don't have any love scenes between that old man and his young wife. I will be totally skeeved out by that. :crazy2:

I don't think I will be watching it again, it just didn't do anything for me. All those women, all those kids, him with a different one every night, their weird secret life, etc. And in a way, the show is making a mockery of "normal" married life, I don't know, I guess it just wasn't my cup of tea. I prefer Deadwood after Tony.

I agree.... was she just creepy or what. The whole sweet little girl act, the hateful girl act, the hot tea witch. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.....

I'm thinking this show can only get better. This seems like such a big story. Can you imagine all the story lines that can come out of the things that happened last night?

It's a really interesting idea for a show!

I missed it but plan on watching it as they re-run it during the week.

I was plesantly surprised. I thought it was pretty entertaining. I'll tune in next week.

I think Bill Paxton's character is going to go off the deep end. What craziness. I'm going to watch.

I watched it and will probably watch it again. It seems to have started a little slow but a lot of times when your first setting up all the story lines that can happen. By the end of the show they had established a lot of conflicts that will carry throughout the following episodes. The whole confrontation with Harry Dean Stanton, who plays the profit around the 15% that the clan gets should be very interesting. My first thought when I saw the show was how the Church of Latter Day Saints was going to react to it. Its obvious that they are Mormon but clearly seperated from the mainstream of the church. Further from the conversation the daughter was having at the fast food place with her co-worker Bill Paxton's family is not very into the church. They are religious as shown when they all stood and prayed before dinner, but they have obviously broken from the clan and according to the daughters comments don't attend the mainstream Mormon Church either. It will be very interesting to see how this all plays out and what peoples reaction to the series will be.

I'll be watching. We lived in SLC for about 6 months when we were first married. I'll be interested to see if they do any location shoots of things we remember from living there.

I agree with the train wreck analogy.

I thought "the compound" was more interesting than the suburbs. I'd like to know how the keep the neighbors from realizing that he lives in all three houses?

And the look on the daughter's face when her new friend announced her dad was a state trooper was priceless.

I think the compound is a little more close to reality than the Hendrickson's life in the burbs.

I agree it did start slow. I think I will like it though. We DVRed it for the whole season. I think all the different characters & potential storylines will make it confusing if you miss an episode.

I think that's why the oldest daughter rapped on her window when she saw her dad come out of one of the other houses instead of using the back yards to come out of The Boss Lady's house. He said something like "No one was looking".

I'll be watching - and hoping it gets better. Thankfully we have tivo so I'll record it and watch grey's anatomy or vice versa. Sometimes shows start off a little slow and then ramp up - I remember not being crazy about the first episode of Friends years ago!

I agree that there are a lot of story lines here. I thought it was interesting the way the show introduced the idea that they had a "traditional or whatever term they used" marriage and then Jean (wife #1) had cancer and couldn't have any more children. She said that Bill getting another wife was more complicated than that, but I liked that they addressed the issue.

Wife #2 and the shopping and the Viagra cracked me up.

I went to High School with the Blonde Wife named Nicky. I was quite surprised to see her when I tuned in!

I think this show has some great potential. Sometimes you have to watch a few episodes to really get into something.

eveytime we saw wife#2 shopping, Dh looked at me and said I am so glad you're not like that! I think that is going to be some storyline, when everyone finds out!
